Sony E3 press conference; June 10th 6PM PT/9PM ET

and to think, 3rd parties like Capcom didn't even have the 8GB GDDR5 ram to work with. neither did anyone else for that matter, even Shadow Fall uses just over 3GB.


Next gen on PS4 is gonna melt my eyes o_O

So has anyone found out what those golden PS1s are for? I noticed some people saying they are VIP invites to Sonys conference, but is there an assumption that the people getting them are supposed to be presenting? So far I know that Notch got one, as did Pete Hines from Bethesda...Kind of weird Sony would send something like that to Random people.

I am oncall during that time so can't really ask for timeoff without feeling like a complete dick. However, that also prevents me from doing anything else in my free time so I will be following everything when I can.
 
I'm on a roadtrip around Australia on that date but I'm taking a few hours off at an Internet cafe for this.

Event takes place 11am on June 11th.
 
I'll be on a plane to Turkey :( ... I'll have a lot to catch up when I get there. At least won't have to see the GAF 404s/etc :)

Im not implying anything really, more asking a question. If Sony is sending random people in the development community golden PS1s then it is what it is, its just a strange thing to send out without a purpose. I would guess that either Sony is trying to court them, or there is something being presented that is made by them. Its just assumptions on my part though, as im not an insider, or anything like that.
 
Imagine if they show Final Fantasy XV (Versus), Kingdom Hearts 3, and Final Fantasy XVI for PS4 and Final Fantasy Agito for PSVita in the E3 conference.

I wonder what impending disaster will happen.

I'd guess that's all that it is. Sony also sent Pete a Vita with a bunch of games, and Bethesda doesn't have anything in development for that platform nor dot hey even have anything rumored to be in development for it.

Your right of course, but there is a big difference between that, and a golden PS1. If Sony has to court Bethesda I guess its possible MS really did snag a Fallout Exclusive.

did they really send like a fully functional golden PS1? or is it like some cheap plastic fake with invitation under hood?

If MS did get full exclusivity on F4 then that is crazy, but that would be a timed exclusive I would imagine.

Notch said that it didn't come with any power cord, so he was unable to test if it functioned. And we do know that Bethesda has games in development for the PS4, Pete mentioned that after the PS4 reveal. Of course that doesn't mean that timed exclusives on other platforms won't exist. I think many are now expecting FO4 to be timed exclusives to the Xbox One.

Yeah or it could be exclusive DLC, or timed exclusive expansions like they get with CoD. Paying for full exclusivity would cost them a ton. And I think its expected that they already payed out their ass to get the Respawn game to be exclusive.

I am on my Vita so I cant link to the pics, but if you look at Notch, or Pete Hines twitters you can see them. They "look" like fully functioning units to me, but its hard to tell from just thise pictures.

How many of these are people actually expecting at E3? Serious question. At best I can see Versus + next gen FF. KH3 is a big no for now, and unfortunately I see SE sitting on Type-0 for a while (as if the platform choice they could make couldn't be more obvious than PS3 + Vita. No way it'd be Vita exclusive though.) :/

If - and this is a colossally big IF - Versus is re-announced, I expect it to BE next-gen FF. Square isn't going to announce Versus for PS3 and a PS4 FF game at the same time.
