Nuzlocke challenges come from Pokemon games. They are basically endurance challenges for fun. Lots of varied versions, but the most core rule is that if a Pokemon faints in battle, you have to get rid of it, and you have to catch the first Pokemon you encounter on routes.

Oh, that's a pretty brutal challenge. Sounds really cool though.

I've not really thought about layouts, but what ramifications are there for a bad layout? Like, I'm not really sure what a "bad" layout is, really. :S

I could probably go on for hours but a quick few points:

- Poor placement of shops/buildings (Re-Tail closer to the docks means easier money making when you have the island)
- River layout (lots of people dislike the river flowing up... it looks weird. also, a super windy river kind of sucks IMO)
- Beach side (every town has a side beach on either the left or right, you can't have both. also, this determines the side of your Main Street that has the Museum)

Animal Crossing - Nooklocke Challenge.

* You must put every peice of furniture you acquire to use in your house, unless it is a repeat type.

* You can only buy 3 things a day

* If you get stung by bees, it's game over.

* You can't persuade any neighbor to stay or leave.

Ah, okay. I'll also read into it some more. Thanks! : )

Wait, like... restart the entire game...?

The first one I can live with, the next two I am fine with, the last one... NOPE.
I would fail.

My Nuzlocke's always have the rule that Shinies are exempt from the 'first Pokemon in area' rule. I've only caught one Shiny, and it was a Magnemite.

Question, is there any kind of item or furniture piece that looks like a bell, or a bag of bells? Or money of some kind?

I want a room filled with jewels and bells that I can roll around naked in.

I would rather stick to betting/gambling Bells away

Oh, you can bet? My luck is universally awful when it comes to betting in games. I've learned my lesson spending hours on Dragon Quest and Pokemon.

Jewels are pretty sharp, y'know.

You could just drop money bags in your house. :lol

You can just make a bells bag texture and apply it to everything!

I did that in City Folk. I had millions of dollars just sitting on my basement floor. :lol

Customisation is SO ADORABLE. In this pic, the cute gal has made the cushions on one of her sofas match her top. It's AMAAAAZING. Seriously, I'm not even joking, it's my favourite new feature.

Is there full clarification on which composer scored what on the Link's Awakening soundtrack?

Both Kazumi Totaka & Kozue Ishikawa's other works all sound so close to Link's Awakening.

I wonder what Minako Hamano worked on...

Ballad of the Wind Fish, which credits both Ishikawa and Hamano, is the only original music from the game that I've seen that's been credited to anybody.

In this interview, Totaka's credited for the sound programming and sound effects while Ishikawa and Hamano are credited for the BGM compositions. But Totaka definitely did compose some stuff with the For The Frog the Bell Tolls music in there.

Ah, it's 9am. I stayed up way too late talking with somebody...

They've just gone now, so I'm now ready to fall asleep face first on my desk.

See you later CrossingGAF. I'll be here again tomorrow, I hope.

My, that's really interesting. I've bookmarked that page to read later.

Thank you! : )

Bye!

Guys, we should come up with some kind of Animal Crossing Nuzlocke challenge.
You can't choose your appearance, name, or town layout. Everything must be randomized. If you run over a flower, you reset your town. If you get stung by a bee, you reset your town.

&DAT VARIA SUIT OH GOD I NEED IT.

Is that little horse on the cupboard part of it or its own independent item. I hope it's the latter because I'd try to texture it as best as possible to look like a Dalahäst

It is an independent item, an Ornament Horse. A little difficult to get though:
You get a different ornament each year depending on what animal is represented in the chinese calender
.

I like Drefaur. What do they mean though? Google Translate doesn't say squat.
Dref aur (two separate words see) is Welsh for Gold Town. Ciwt tref is cute town. No idea why I got different words for town (which I suppose I could swap round for Trefaur and Ciwtdref) and why it swapped the words round. Guess that's just Welsh grammer for you.

Hmmm... maybe I'll go with Trefaur. Assuming I'm pronouncing it correctly it sounds a bit like "träffa" which is Swedish for "meet" which is quite appropriate for Animal Crossing.

Ahh. Very clever, BGBW. Trefaur also sounds cool. Very fancy. Like a small European village in the country.
