Not, it's not. I don't understand why psn games doesn't count, and I did not even write Japan exclusive games.
It's not trying to include the Japanese games, you can tell that because it's very clearly labelled: "here's the Western released 3rd party PS3 exclusives"

:D

With Xbone using Blu-Ray, I'd be really surprised if MGSV is exclusive to either system.

If Microsoft locked down MGS5 as an Xbone exclusive, they'd at least succeed at one thing - completely killing off the Metal Gear franchise in Japan. It'd have to be multiplatform for that reason alone - I can't see Konami being stupid enough to abandon its home territory when MGS is so closely tied to Sony.

I don't think there is anything to worry about from Sony, exclusives wise.

  • They have the indie community on their side.
  • They have a lot of PS4 games in development (just think of all of their studios or second teams with nothing announced)
  • From what I hear, they have some very good 3rd party exclusives lined up.

What Sony have are exclusives. Not timed exclusives, not vast quantities of timed exclusive DLC.

Heavy Rain worked perfect for me, so I hope there isn't too many drastic changes. I wouldn't want Cage to change his creative direction just because alot of people complained (despite great sales).
Nah so far it just looks like they dropped the "R2 to walk" stuff which was indeed more weird than it needed to be. I had no problems with it, but there is no denying that it can be improved.

I'm more curious to see how Aiden actually controls. Last E3 it was completely based around sixaxis (-.-), but in the demo they showed last month they used the twin sticks for navigation. I'm also interested in how the switching works and how much freedom do you have when exploring the environment.

Another cool thing about that image is that you can clearly see the improvements in the DS4 design since compared to the DS3 since they're silhouettes.

I bought a PS3 for it. It's pretty much exclusively why I've pre-ordered a PS4.

Which is weird, becuase I have no idea what comes after TLG. Presumably Ueda will stop making games for a little while.

Frankly, considering the radio silence we've had regarding TLG for the past - what, two years? - I'm not sure Ueda is making games NOW.

It'd be so easy for Sony to kill the competition at E3, just show the system, tons of games, and don't make the mistake of blocking used games.

I've learned to never trust a company, but I'm excited for the possibility of everything going perfect.

And no always-online. I rarely, if ever, buy used games. But that a-o shit will piss me right off.

PS4: Sony Is 'More Open', Looking For 'New Game Concepts'

War Thunder - the free-to-play action MMO about World War II aerial combat - was announced to be coming to the PS4 recently. Interestingly it's also one of the few third-party console exclusives, and won't be coming to Xbox One.

"Microsoft is a good partner of ours for a long time," started Gaijin's CEO Anton Yudintsev in an interview with PSLS, but added that "Sony is more open and more actively looking for new game concepts, new business models and new titles than Microsoft."

As a first time member of the gaf community but long time lurker it would be nice to see a moment like E3 2007. People bickering to each other about pictures of bricks being pre-rendered or real time in the Killzone 2 gameplay reveal thread had me dying of laughter for days.

You've been doing it since 2007 (if you have any taste).
Nah, it hasn't been quite that bad, TGS '10 was the last showing, but in the last year or so, I think everyone assumed it'd been moved to PS4. If it's not shown now, that's seriously in question I think. And I might have to resort to posting something deeply hurtful of Sony, you mark my words.
