DON'T YOU FUCKING DO THIS TO ME!

Gabe onstage at the PS4 conference would be bigger to me than TLG or Versus.

Exactly. Sony's lucky, they got to witness MSoft's colossal fuck up before E3. Just don't do what they did and it should be smooth sailing.

Yeah, I feel bad about my reaction to the used game situation. I know it is bad for gamers and everyone is pissed as hell, but I don't care about it. Fun to see the hate, though.

Nah, it hasn't been quite that bad, TGS '10 was the last showing, but in the last year or so, I think everyone assumed it'd been moved to PS4. If it's not shown now, that's seriously in question I think. And I might have to resort to posting something deeply hurtful of Sony, you mark my words.

If it's not shown at E3?

All I hope is that if it gets cancelled, we'll known about it as soon as possible.

I really don't expect them to be launch titles, with what we've heard (or haven't heard) about these games, that's wishful thinking. I could easily see these titles slipping into 2015.

I don't think there is anything to worry about from Sony, exclusives wise.

  • They have the indie community on their side.
  • They have a lot of PS4 games in development (just think of all of their studios or second teams with nothing announced)
  • From what I hear, they have some very good 3rd party exclusives lined up.

What Sony have are exclusives. Not timed exclusives, not vast quantities of timed exclusive DLC.

Are you actually hearing things, or is that an assumption?

It'll be interesting to see how things go down with third parties and exclusives this coming generation.

How long has it been already? TLG supposedly shifted development to PS4 2 years ago. I'll die of laughter if it takes until 2015 to get that game out.

It says a lot that after eight years, people don't think they can ship a game.

I'll say it's a testament to the people that do manage to release these AAA games, right? Not a sleight to those that don't.

And to be fair practically the same team released Siren early on. I reckon TLG went through development hell in creative as well as technical sense.

My completely random and off the wall guess is that after successfully making the Ratchet and Clank HD remasters they've been shifted to in charge of the next R+C game since Insomniac is seemingly busy with Fuse and the rumoured XBone exclusive.

Sanzaru did the Sly Cooper remakes then were allowed to go onto Sly 4 and did a great job. Maybe working on the re-makes was the way Sony got lesser known development teams familiar with existing franchises.

Literally a completely baseless guess that makes sense in my little head.

I don't think Team Siren and Team Ico share a significant staff.

Maybe. I'm sure Insomniac will do a new R&C as a tie in for the movie in 2015.

I hope so, Insomniac are great developer that seems a bit lost and doesn't want to get locked into being 'the Ratchet team' it seems which is understandable.

Sony would be insane to let Ratchet sit until 2015.

I got quite the opposite impression. But I can't say with any authority either way. The design staff will differ, but I'm assuming the majority of production staff there are shared around Japan Studio.

If they've genuinely been paying programmers for the past 6 years to work on this game, it's a labour of love, because it's certainly not a good business decision. :P
