Noooo, save the longer playthroughs for after the conference - they are almost always boring or awkward on stage. Just keep it to trailers pls

I think everybody needs to keep expectations in check. Sony is absolutely going to spend at least a little time on network features and multimedia apps to give themselves the illusion of feature parity with the Xbone. They could do it separately, but that would make too much sense. I am also practically willing to put down money that gameplay of AC4 or Watch Dogs will be shown there. Ubisoft always has a presence at Sony's events.

With Destiny and something from Square already confirmed for their presser, Sony by default probably has a lot less time to show new stuff compared to MS, unless they pack every single minute of their presser with content.

And given this is Sony, the kings of wasted time, we're talking about...

Now this I can do without. We've already seen 3 gameplay demos of Watch Dogs and ACIV will play like the other 6 AC games out there except with hi-res textures.

I really don't expect to see any WatchDogs stuff at Sony's conference, it was at the reveal, no need to show it twice.

Sony has to show network stuff. They need to show us the new UI, convince us to subscribe to the new PS+ and remind people that PSN is just as solid as XBL, but free.

I remember saying on the day of the "Xbox One console" launch that there was no way Microsoft could fuck it up, for at least the first day they were in 100% control of the message and would be able to make sure only the good news got out. I couldn't have been more wrong. I wouldn't assume that MS will have a stellar conference at E3.

We are just going to have to wait and see what they actually show. This new gen conferences have particularly been hard to predict on what they are going to show, as evidenced by Microsoft's xbox 1 reveal.

Sony should have some big announcements but I don't think anyone's going to have the perfect e3 showing.

They go on for as long as the host decides. They usually announce the conference lengths sometime during the week before. MS already confirmed that their's will be 90 minutes again.

In all fairness, Sony usually doesn't have a lot to fill a 90 minute conference. This year I expect them to be really to-the-mark. They wasted a lot of time at the PS4 reveal and if the rumours and teases from Kagari, Mod0us and co are right, they'll have so much stuff to show that they can't afford to waste time.

I expect their E3 conference to be 2 hours, since the PS4 reveal was 2 hours.

I think you're going to see PS+ made more necessary for consumers in the PS4. Microsoft has gotten away with charging that much money for years and raked in the cash, Sony could use that money.

I think you'll be able to watch Netflix and use some other services for free, but I expect PS+ to be required for anybody wanting to play their games online.

I think you're going to see PS+ made more mandatory for consumers in the PS4. Microsoft has gotten away with charging that much money for years and raked in the cash, Sony could use that money.

I expect everything that is free now will remain free. Everything else will likely be behind plus. Except share, they may allow free sharing of gameplay videos, but limit the daily/monthly amount somehow.

There was one thread just full of gifs summing up wheat people thought of the XBONE reveal. Some are general reaction GIFs, other were modified for the occasion. People like Demonite and SunhiLegend are great at doing exactly that.

That would be a disaster for Sony. People buy Plus because of the free stuff - you can be damn well sure that if it was mandatory, publishers would be a lot less likely to offer up full games for free.

Also, nobody is going to pay money for both Live and Plus if they both offer the same features.

Showing network stuff on stage isn't really effective because they'll either fake or guarantee optimal conditions. I think the only significant PSN deficiency compared to XBL at this point is the cross-game chat thing, right? That's a quick one-liner.

You should prepare for FO4 to be announced as a timed exclusive for the Xbox One at the very least. Everything is pointing toward that.

Seriously, don't give the story/art direction in the second one too much time, and the graphics were a bit scabby in the first.

I'm probably wrong but to me it feels like FF13 was gimped because they decided to put it on 360 as well. I think the game would have still had awful writing and the annoying characters, but maybe it would have just been a better game without the linearity problems and such.

Pure conjecture though on my part. I have no idea what went down. Then again, these are new and different consoles that both use Blu-ray format for games so maybe it wouldn't be an FF13 repeat. Really I'm just ready for the series to go somewhere else without Lightning and I don't even hate Lightning. In fact I'm kinda excited for Lightning Returns because I'm a giant whore.

XIII is an unlucky number after all.

Seriously though, people had too much faith in them, they barely showed any real gameplay before release and fell for the hype. I was one of the few people who wasn't hyped at all so t didn't completely murder my belief tha the series could be good again one day.
