I honestly think they should spend NO MORE than 10 minutes on PS3/Vita.

That ship has sailed.

Time to retrofit the battleships and head into uncharted waters with the PS4!
too long
do all the ps3/morta stuff the week before and spend no more than a sizzle reel on them during the conference

Except you know they will and they may show off the remote play feature in greater detail.

that at least has something to do with ps4

hopefully non of those chewbacca hannah montana time wasters

Hey, Barry here. No, I don't know what their plans are. I hope we see it soon, but I have no idea.

Just from what I have heard from a few different friends, is that the project has great potential, and I am just a fan of their work too. Ghost of Sparta was awesome.

Nice to hear

Barry, I don't know what to do with this information.

Potential eh? I know there isn't enough here to draw any conclusions but I really want to. Dammit.

Sony's probably aren't surprising though. If Final Fantasy XV is exclusive, it's a big deal, but it won't surprise a single person.

HOW THE HELL WOULD THAT NOT BE SURPRISING!?!?!?

Especially since FF went multiplatform and how much support Square Enix gave M$ last generation.

It would definitely be a surprise.

Anyone expecting to see MGS5 on-stage anywhere? Demoing a scene in full PS4-o-vision might prove popular. As it no doubt would on the Microsoft stage, but...

I think it normally would be a huge surprise, but we got this rumor a couple of months ago, so there's some expectation for it now.

Is Skype available on ps4? And if so can i call people on a PC or would it only be other ps4s?

Microsoft bought Skype last year for many billions.

Are we expecting Planetside 2 to be at the conference? It wouldn't surprise me if it was, or even if every PS4 came with it pre-loaded.

The biggest megaton for me would be Agent because we haven't seen anything out of that announcement other than a logo and some leaked shitty screen shots that looked like development level shots more than anything. If it was moved to the PS4 and is up to normal Rock * levels of quality then it would be huge.

um, thats not gonna happen...

I hope RAD aren't chained to more God of War, I have really little interest in more GOW for at least a handful of years. New IP please!

What if it was God of war, but completely new? New mythology (Norse), new protag, new weapons, new artstyle, etc. I think God of war still has lots of potential, but I do think Kratos needs a rest. Its one of my favorite franchises though so id like to see it stay strong but present something fresh at the same time.

To be honest, the general GoW design is pretty stale to me (like the traversal and the combat etc) and even ignoring that and changing everything you stated, why not just make a new I.P? haha it would be a new franchise in all but name in that instance. But I see GAF says it will be new I.P so this is great to hear.

Anyone down for doing a predictions list? After the conference you can look back and see how many predictions you got right. This list should exclude stuff they already revealed like Knack and Infamous even though they might show up at the conference, as well as stuff guaranteed to be there like what the system looks like and Destiny.

Mine:

1) At least one SKU at $499.
2) Final Fantasy Versus (likely under a different name), for PS4
3) The Last Guardian re-revealed for PS4
4) No show from Guerrilla Games' or Quantic Dream's new/2nd games
5) Sony Santa Monica new game appears
6) A release date
7) Same day digital announced for all games
8) Basic playing online is free, PS+ tier system
9) Planetside 2 for PS4
10) no Media Molecule game yet
11) Indie games focus or sizzle real

I've abandoned any pretence of not getting hyped for this now. FFXV, TLG and so many more!

I hope Sony shows a lot of variety in games. And I'd love a very balanced Western and Japanese focus, not only for E3 but for Gamescom as well. But more than anything i want RPG's!

So here's an article from bizarro world.

http://variety.com/2013/biz/news/xbox-one-puts-on-peek-performance-1200489552/

In its two-hour presentation, Sony opted to focus on the software that gamers will play on PS4 when it launches this fall. The actual console was never shown–a strategy Sony seemed to reverse this week by issuing a 39-second teaser that offered an extreme closeup of the device ahead of next month’s E3 videogame confab in Los Angeles.

But Microsoft displayed the XBox One hardware so quickly into the opening minutes of its own hourlong presentation that it nearly startled the 150 or so press gathered last Tuesday inside a black tent on the Xbox campus in Redmond, Wash. The instant applause that followed seemed less directed at the design of the product itself but for the company’s decision not to operate in secrecy until E3.

Multiple Xbox One devices were on hand to scrutinize; engineers were introduced to discuss the work that went into designing the new console. The final result: a confident Microsoft eager to show off what it’s been working on over the past four years.

Not so with Sony. It held back so much information, the company will have to re-introduce its PS4 again during E3. Where Xbox brass will be able to focus on games, PlayStation’s executives will have to talk up both hardware and software to the media expected to fill the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena still grumbling over February’s event in New York City. Wining them over will take extra effort now.

Microsoft has clearly bought itself some goodwill around the Xbox One so far. Whether it can carry the momentum through the fall is another matter.

3/4ths of the article is about the look of the system. It's always interesting to get an outside perspective I guess.

Someone can make a new thread, I've made too many today. :p

Just gonna put my two cents in. I don't know why people are assuming MS has these 3rd party exclusives lined up left and right. I also don't get why people assume that just because something hasn't leaked on Sony's end means they don't have anything. Maybe Sony is playing their cards very close to their chest this time around.

its close to chest when first party, 3rd party stuff usually gets leaked/rumored out. At least that is how I have seen from past.

R* have thousands of employees, they always have multiple projects in the works.

really? they always seem to release one game at a time though. I would believe they have people working on other projects, but at the moment they are fully working on GTAV probably. Once GTAV ships then they will put proper attention to the next project.

If they don't show anything for Vita it is probably dead, right?

considering in the past week alone Sony announced Panopticon, Yakuza, Rayman Legends, and DRM for Vita, I'd say it still has hope.

I just hope they dont waste time with Vita or PS3.

PS3, they'll mention it in relation to the (hopefully) great TLoU scores, with an emphasis on the longevity (Beyond, Puppeteer...) and a decision to slash the price.
PS Vita has to get some attention. Make 5 or 6 significant game reveals' announcments and get done with it!

They have multiple complete teams, it's not like R* North work on Max Payne and put GTA on hold if that's what you mean. But if you mean if Agent still exists, it won't launch this year, you're certainly right.

Sony has been teasing several significant "system seller" Vita reveals for a few weeks now. Clearly something is brewing. Whether or not they show up at E3 is anybody's guess, but hopefully Sony doesn't ignore the system entirely this year.

Sony should try another go at 'Vita Heaven' only make it an actual stream and not just uploaded videos on youtube. Announce it during their E3 conference for later that week, gives more time for PS4 on the day and also gives people something else to look forward to.

Or just do it before their press conference. If they do it afterwards, everyone will be too focused on PS4 and Xbone to care about little old Vita.

so.......I'm guessing M.A.G. and Warhawk series are dead for the time being?

I hope Sony doesn't feel *just* PlanetSide 2 could give a fix for those two great experiences. :(

edit- or does it? I haven't played it yet.

Well, I guess what I was getting at is the fact that public opinion is low, still, and if Sony pushes it to the side, public opinion will get worse.
