I like this idea. Ban them 5 minutes before the first conference (microsoft), so when they attempt to furiously log in after gaf goes down to do some damage control later in the day, they'll wonder if they've really been banned, or if the servers are still screwed up. Rinse and repeat just before the Sony conference for the rest of them.

I may actually be heading down for the conference so this wouldn't be feasible. Perhaps I'll drop a pre-emptive cull sometime between now and June 11 just to be done with it.

Exactly MS cares more about the non gaming apps therefore allocating more ram to that. Sony did the opposite and had more ram for games.

More RAM is allocated for games. Sony had 4Gigs of RAM according to the leaks.

And yet the number one device by a huge margin to watch Netflix on is a PS3. Let's not downplay that consoles are used for other things.

Of course they are used for other things. If you clean all the debris and all the BS, you actually find that people don't mind a console that offers multiple services and entertainment. The difference is the focus.

Another poster brought up a good point. Leaks showed the PS4 as having 4Gigs of RAM whereas MS had reserved 5. If Sony didn't blindside the industry with the news of 8Gigs, would we be having this conversation about reserved RAM?

Yes because 3GB's is still alot and it'd be seen as a "wasted advantage" most likely.

It just shows where MS's priorities are. That's all. Just looking at Xbone tells people MS's priority is definitely NOT games.

How did you come to that conclusion? A MINORITY of the XBone's resources are dedicated to "non-gaming" activities.
