I'm not sure what you mean with main command line. You can't bring up a chat in singleplayer and if you just simply try to press the buttons you end up bringing up the map and such.

I don't know about Stalker but generally the ~ button brings down the console.

(Edit) By "-mblur" in the command line he may mean in the shortcut, similar to forcing "-opengl".

I'm not sure but both are worth a try while you wait for confirmation.

You gotta know which floors of the building to stand and fight in, and which ones to jump through. Like Kenny Rogers said, know when to walk away, know when to run. I also found it very useful to keep reminding myself it's an arcadey game and isn't meant to be fair.


After posting some nasty, accurate comments about its bad mission design and terrible mechanics, I buckled down and made lots of headway in GTA VCS for PS2/3 tonight. I still hate certain things about it, but that GTA appeal is still there, if fading fast. Seriously, if they don't learn how to program a shooting system ... I can actually see myself skipping GTA IV.

At the rate I'm going & the skillz I have, I don't think I'll ever beat the dreaded opera house protection level. :-/
