I imagine Bungie got pissed off with constantly playing second fiddle to COD on 360.

As for Epic, Unreal engine was literally the first thing shown running live on PS4, although that's understandable. As I recall, Epic announced Fortnite for multi-plat a long time ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see that as a timed Xbone exclusive, but you never know. I think Gears might be dead actually, or at least mothballed. Just my take.

Bungie and Halo is xbox. Gears is whatever. It sells great but it's no Halo. Would that kind of game even sell well on Playstation? (not saying they are bringing Halo over either lolnope)

All things being considered, no one could possibly betraylton Microsoft like Bungie could. I'm dying to see what they have to say on the SONY stage re Destiny.

I've already pre-ordered a Destiny PS4 bundle in my mind.

I think people often overestimate just how much they can spend on gaming related things. If they had a infinite supply of money to toss around then this current-gen would've been the time to do it. They had Sony on their heels due to the high pricing of the PS3. All they really managed to do was get some timed exclusive DLC and for certain devs to go multiplatform.

You make a good point. Jeff Gerstmann's comments about devs picking sides with actual exclusives is something to think about though.

That's true, but i'm surprised that people didn't catch on to Andy McNamara's comment before that about the PS4 winning globally. If anyone outside of the major companies knows about who has which games it's that guy (and probably certain other GI staffers). The fact that he thinks Sony's positioned to take things is very interesting.

SCE has GT for EU, FF for JPN and maybe R* for NA.

Sony will no doubt focus on games just as much as MS if not more. Kaz has said that want to make sure first and foremost people understand it's a games machine.

That being said I think we'll see the OS and how it relates to gaming along with the live streaming side of it.

I don't think they should really focus on the PS3 unless it's the announce some sort of significant price drop.

I say we get about 90 minutes of PS4 talk.

great point. MS could have easily made GTA exclusive to Xbox 360, but they couldn't....

Lets face it, most western devs would go Xbone if they HAD to choose. Dem big ass moneyhats would make it an even easier choice I imagine.

Sorry for the double post, but why do you think western devs would go with Xbone if they had to choose? Games tend to sell very well on PS platforms, and with the PS4 being much easier to dev for I think this is a moot point.

Why does the Sony conference always have to be 2am for UK viewers...

Because Sony likes to be last and late when every journalist is so tired that they either don't go or can't remember shit of how tired they are. So either they can't wait to go on the show floor that opens I think during Sony press, or they can't wait to get to their hotel room to get some sleep.

I question the "much easier" point. This isn't 360 vs. PS3 where the PS3 was a horrible to develop for for several years.

PS4 is better and according to rumors the developer tools are more mature, but it's not even close to what it was 2006/2007.

Bungie and Halo is xbox.

Once yes, but now? Bungie are gone and Halo? Far from gone, but if it isn't so much as trailered at the E3 conference (which I expect by the way) that would leave nothing at the launch of their new system that is Halo but a TV series that's currently vapourware.

Microsoft obviously didn't think Halo important enough for that mainstream audience, in game form at least. COD ate its lunch. My point however was about Bungie and why they felt the need to go to Sony - because Sony offered coverage that Microsoft wouldn't or couldnt give them. Again, my take. Destiny is multi, so Bungie must have had some reason to be on stage with Sony and I don't think money hats were involved.

Thanks by the way to the Rogue Galaxy lovers in the thread - you just convinced me to order it.

Aside, does anyone seriously expect Agent? I don't believe that for a second.

It doesn't help that MS basically built an America box.

Other than the live gameplay in the Sony conference running on the ps4 and the exclusive content I dont expect a bundle of some sort imo... but maybe Activision is positioning Destiny as a Sony thing and Cod as an MS one who knows

Really looking forward to more Knack. From the February event I got the feeling that it was a very solid game, wrapped in a very mediocre reveal trailer. The gameplay section on the Vita looked way better then the trailer.

mediocre trailer? I thought trailer looked like a CG cartoon! And it was hilarious

I think people underestimate the ACTUAL legwork (although not literal legwork) involved in getting these deals to happen. Outside of money totally.

These deals don't happen overnight, and they don't happen by turning up with a truckload of cash.

I think that is partly what blew this all out of proportion. Rumours of Final Fantasy and Titan would be enough to give the impression some parties are taking sides. It does not mean a slew of exclusives from the publisher.

Although, I could easily be proven wrong.

how much time do you guys think Sony will spend on PS3/Ps4/Vita?
They got a larger portfolio then MS at this point.
What will MS show for the 360? Sony does have some great games left in this gen.
How will this even out...

they'll spend a bit of time talking about TloU and show a trailer. hopefully they just show a quick 3 minute montage of games coming out later this year for it and move on. same for Vita. show the trailer, price drop, and move on.

Vita - 5% = Price drop, some big games here and there
PS4 - 95% hell ya!

Time for another top 10 wall of posters:

A riveting tale of whether our mod will be dethroned by make believe snake's 370th daddy or crack shot/pot archer.

I'm very pumped for E3 myself. It's been stated in here before, but I will echo that this E3 is going to be a big one. I've kind of been in a gaming rut lately, but if anyone can pull me out of it, it's Sony.

Bring the gigatons, Kaz, bring the gigatons.

3rd person action/adventure, music to my ears. Maybe RAD can fill my desire for a next gen character action game ala GOW/DMC.

The Order sounds so good. That is easily my most anticipated mystery :P

But if it's set in 1886, I'll be there.

Want more historical titles.

But as I said about RAD's game before, no other games need to bother copying Uncharted, so I'm not too interested in that.

lol
I should clarify a little:
RAD, who also worked on the Wii port of Okami, is working on a new IP based on a third-person action adventure, according to an ad.

“Are you ready to work on an exciting new AAA IP for a Next-Generation home console game system?” it reads.

“Ready At Dawn is working on a 3rd Person Action Adventure and is looking for talented, motivated and self-directed developers to join our team.”

It isn’t specified what console it’ll be for. The studio was on the hire for the new IP last year, but this is the first time the next-generation has been mentioned. It’s been said the project is heading down the Uncharted route.

"I love playing story driven games. I love movies. I love things that involve me from start to end and give me a complete experience.

"That's where our heads are. It's definitely that kind of game we're going to make. We're not going to go off and make an open world, or an MMO, like everybody expects ex-Blizzard people to do.

"We know what we'd like and we know what we're good at."

Sounds a bit like Naughty Dog's stupendous PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2, doesn't it?

"It's the kind of game we're going to make," Weerasuriya said. "I'm just glad they did it first. It should prove to everybody it's doable and it's worth doing that kind of stuff."

Guess I'll just have to suffer and wait 3 years for the next GOW game or pray Capcom takes DMC out of limbo.

Feels bad, man.
