He. will. fucking. return.
Well he got his own theme park on Nintendo land. He will also be on the next Super Smash. What more can you want :P.

All I honestly care about is information on X. Please, Nintendo, for the love of fuck, give me more information about X.

And I really hate when I hear people suggest they think X will be "more like Monster Hunter"(which I assume is because the trailer showed large monsters?) ... No. Please, no.

Yeah I have no idea why the comparison when the game play mechanics are way different. Monsters are monsters, any game can have those lol. Also really need to see more of this as well.

That's because it's already proven that there is a market on the PS and Xbox, it hasn't been proven on Nintendo systems yet, if Nintendo pays them to get this game on Wii U and it sold well enough and than it could really help Nintendo's third party situation.

Iwata already said that they will do anything they have to, to get third party support for Wii U.

If that was true, wouldn't the Wii U's infrastructure be running on Origin right now?

Wonderful 101 wasn't shown in the summer Direct though. And he said he'd talk about Pikmin multiplayer another time. Also, Sonic World wasn't in the Direct either outside of the logo and it's a fall/winter release, so you'll surely have that in there too.

Yeah, I remember he said they'd gradually show more of 101 up to the release date.

Not so sure about Lost World. Seems little point in releasing a debut trailer a few days ago if it's going to be part of the main E3 Direct.

As far as we're aware Rockstar does not see a market for GTA V on the Wii U, relative to investment, and is far too busy internally working on the PS3 and 360 SKUs. To the point of not even confirming an expected PC release.

I really don't think people should focus on it at all, and I don't think getting GTA V will really do Nintendo many/any favours. Not when Nintendo's goal is to move units with software people cant get anywhere else.

Its unrelated but, what does GDGF stand for ?

An actual game, or at the very least a remastered version of GX?
I was just kidding. I would love to see at least one on the system. But as it stands right now I just don't see it coming in the near future (if it even comes out). Especially what Miyamoto said about it.

Get a sequel to Bully or a Space Station Silicon Valley remake instead, and I'm still waiting for a PC announcement of GTAV.

So just like every other multi platform game then huh? Wouldn't they get money back if GTAV sold 500k on Wii U? And what if they announce the game for the 2 other systems then?

Aww, when it said teasers I was hoping things we wouldn't know about, but I can name every title suggested by the silhouettes with the possible exception of the first one being a new 3D Mario

True, and I wasn't saying that there isn't/won't be. I was mainly arguing against the case of Nintendo having to pay for a multiplatform game...

That's the only way they can make third party support better until third parties make there own choice to give the Wii U games without being moneyhatted, not all devs will be moneyhatted of course, just the big ones.

I re-watched the January Direct, 35 mins long and Iwata spent 17 mins talking about Miiverse or the VC. He still showed a lot of games.
1 hours is enough, trust me ;)

So Nintendo to announce DRM firmware for Wii U?

Here it is...

http://www.examiner.com/article/iwa...nvest-to-get-third-party-support-on-wii-u-3ds

“In that sense, and this is common to both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U, we think that it is important to encourage the software publishers to think "This is a platform on which we can perform our business" in the very first stage of the platform. We think it very important to make several hits from the third-party software publishers within the first year from the release of the platform, while offering Nintendo software seamlessly. In order to achieve this goal, we have shared information about the new hardware with the software publishers earlier than we did previously and built a cooperative structure, and we are developing several titles in collaboration with these publishers. I cannot talk in detail about the names of the titles, or with which publishers we are currently collaborating, because we have not announced this information yet, but what we are aiming for with the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U is, platforms which have much more software and a wider variety of software than the former Nintendo DS or Wii. Therefore, we are thinking of creating an environment where software from other companies will become hits. Please understand that Nintendo is prepared to invest in order to make this a reality.”

OMG OMG OMG i agree so much on the Streets of Rage part. What makes SOR is that it really is set in old time frame. Or else it would really be a Final Fight copy. I would love it to be 80's/90's including all the cool raving music. SOR2 is probably my favorite game soundtrack of all time.

Yeah it's great! In fact I'm gonna go on youtube now to listen to the soundtrack for some nostalgia.

It's a member here.

I'll take sequels to Bully, Space Station Silicon Valley, and Body Harvest over GTA V ports any day of the week.

Maybe they would. Maybe they wouldn't. I don't know. I don't really consider it. Rockstar is a business and they can run their business however they want to. If they don't consider the Wii U market valuable enough to dedicate staff, time, and money towards a GTA V port then so be it. People need to learn to deal with it. That's business, that's how this works. If they see bigger potential in PS4/X1 ports, so be it. Wouldn't be surprising. Most publishers probably feel the same way.

Rockstar, like any company, can spend their own money and time on whatever they want. And based on GTA3, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA4, The Lost and the Damned, and the Ballad of Gay Tony, I don't think they're factoring Nintendo into their business plan. Oh well.

I mean, it certainly wouldn't hurt for the Wii U to get GTA V. I just don't think it matters half as much as people might think it does. It's a similar dilemma to other ports. People aren't going to toss aside their 360s and PS3s to get a Wii U just to play a port of GTA V. They're a nice buffer, but more than anything Nintendo needs that exclusive software to move units. Nintendo only gamers who'd really appreciate ports like that need to realise Nintendo doesn't need to sell the system to them any more. They already bought it.

agreed, they need exclusives to sell the system. If Nintendo was serious about that market they should have acquired Volition and the Saints Row IP.

Wow I have a very very bad feeling about this! Games we have known about for more than one year? Pikmin 3 and fucking NSLU?
Ready to be utterly disappointed. If Nintendo doesn't show more than 4 new games, they will look stupid next to Microsoft 8 new IPs and 15 exclusives.

Again, it's their website for E3, not an advert for their Direct.

The purpose of the Direct two weeks back was to show Pikmin 3 and NSLU. The one on the 11th is for Wii U games in the Autumn and beyond.

Also, how many of those 15 exclusives (which include 8 new IPs) will actually be out this year like much of Nintendo's offerings?

Keep your expectations really low

Or you know they're using those character art so they don't give away anything. Doesn't mean they'll talk about them, well besides TW101 and WWHD, which I expect to be talked about.
I expect nothing about Pikmin and Super Luigi U, besides a reminder of when they release.

They're at least showing three (Super Mario U, Mario Kart U, and Smash U), as well as (hopefully) showing the first footage of Bayonetta 2. I seriously doubt they're going to have the tidal wave of titles Microsoft and Sony will have, mostly because they'll each be treating the event as a much bigger deal (they have to outshine each other, and sell their new, unreleased systems).

I think expecting Nintendo to go toe-to-toe with Microsoft's fifteen exclusives is setting yourself up for massive disappointment.

I have the total opposite feeling

You're right, I think they should have revealed all their new announcements on the teaser page. No-one would have expected that!

They seriously need to get that shit onto the damn VC already! I caved and bought an N64 module last December 'cause I finally wanted to play this. Rockstar when they were still DMA made so many crazy and weird games.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't put up teasers for unannounced games. However, I would recommend to set your expectations rather low. As of we know right now it will have 3d Mario, Mario kart and super smash.

Fake Edit: Wait...Kamiya said this, so I don't know if he's trolling or not, but than again when someone asked if The Wonderful 101 would be in the May Direct he said yes and we did get it, and it's E3.

So I think he's telling the truth.
Hopefully it is shown. But who knows, I can never tell when he trolling or not.

I think Nintendo's intention all along has been to announce to core players titles they're working on before hand (the January ND with all the Wii U title announcements) and then to show them off extensively at E3.

I'm not expecting new announcements at E3. Maybe one or two - Retro's title and maybe another collaboration with a third party, but that's it.

I don't need 15 exclusives or Nintendo to go toe-to-toe against them but given Nintendo WiiU output so far, showing only 4 new internally developed games (Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D, Zelda 3DS and Mario Kart) would be pretty weak for a company its size. Ubisoft is bigger FFS.

Agreed. But I also think anyone expecting much from the 15 exclusives should also calm down a bit, lol. If they are putting that much emphasis on how many they have, it's probably gonna be quantity over quality. Lots of Kinect, B-team efforts, etc...
After last gen, I'm sure MS will never have a 1st party on par with the others.

I'm hoping for a Earthbound announcement....(hey I can dream ;x)

Looking forward to what they'll be showing especially the next 3D Mario game.

They clearly don't count because they've already been announced.

Barring a shocker, which is always possible, I really do think the "success" of Nintendo's E3 in the mind of journalists and the core gamer crowd will be in how well received the 3D Mario game is by everyone. If it just looks like Galaxy 3 in HD, it probably will not make an impact. If it is something truly mind blowing, I think Nintendo could gain a lot of good will, even with people who have not been impressed with the system up to this point.
