I had a N64. I think I remember my parents asking us what we wanted between the two and we picked N64 for some reason.

it's ok, we all make bad decisions, the important thing is that we learn form those mistakes so that we never repeat them again

so when your parents ask you what you want between and PS4 and Wii U you know what to choose lol

I never owned a ps1 but I would say FF9. Its the game the game that convinced me to become a PlayStation gamer. Funnily enough it was the first game I got with my ps2.

I actually think it might be impossible for me to say the best one out of PS1, PS2 and PS3. At gunpoint I might have to pick PS2?

Hmm, I think I would say the PS1 simply because my two favorite games are on that system (FFIX and Xenogears). But the PS2 is a very close second. (if we are talking just about the games available on those systems and excluding backwards compatibility)

Count me in the never owned a PS1 group either. I got burned by the Saturn and picked Nintendo figuring they were the safe option.

It's definitely not PS3.

I dunno man, PS3 has shapen up to be a beast in many ways and has the evolution of gaming on its side (webstore, much improved online gaming, PS+...). The only thing that it really has against it is the smaller emphasis on exclusives (and the not so good generation when it comes to JRPGs for example).

Also PS3 is still going strong so way too early to judge.

N64 was a good system.

Not a lot of games, but the best games it did have were gold.

However the worst games it had were the worst of the worst.

Superman 64 anyone?

N64 was a good system (OOT and Smash Bros.) but the PS1's grand library just demolished it at the time. Plus, it didn't help you could very easily walk into a store 15 years ago or so and only get 1 first party N64 game for $50 or $60 when you could very easily get 2 or 3 PS1 Greatest Hits games for the same amount of money.

They can and do do this when they want. 95% of the time they aren't "leaks" there hype builders IMO.

Hype Builders? I think they do exactly the opposite in terms of so called 'building hype' half the time but that is my opinion.

Haha that's what we asked for as kids too. We wanted an N64 for Star Fox 64. My grandmother came that year and gave us this weird console called the PlayStation. We were still pumped but I was slightly disappointed I didn't get an N64. That was until we started to play the 7 games our grandmother got us with the system. Best holiday break ever!

Count me in for never having a PS1. It wasn't until I went to my cousin's house where I first played PS1 after being a Nintendo kid for so long. First game I ever played on a PS1 was Legend of Legaia. They need to bring that back.

PS1 was my first console. Before that I had only owned a crappy PC where I played some old ass DOS games. One day my family moved and one of the kids that was my new neighbour invited me to play. That was the first time I saw PS1 with Crash1, Soul Blade and Time Crisis. Holy Fuckin Shit I was blown away. I begged my parents to get one and I did as a christmas present :). My first own playstation game was Disneys Hercules and I don't care what anyone says, that game is rad!

When my parents worked as housekeepers, an old lady gave us an original Playstation, which was the first console my brother and I played. We had a demo disc, Tekken 3 that she gave us with some other stuff I can't remember. We played Nascar Rumble sooooo much, and it was one hell of a game. Also that demo disc was so good with Bug's Life and NFL Blitz, but it kept freezing. Man, the old days were insane, gaming allllll day.

I couldn't afford to buy a PS1. I used to rent the console with a random game from my local video store on weekends when I had some money. Hard times man, kids these days have it so easy.

I remember asking for a PSOne and being offered the SNES as my mother deemed the former too much. It worked out in the end I guess.

I actually was going to get a PSOne but one of my sisters saw it by accident and they ended up telling her they wanted a GameCube instead. I was outvoted. Eventually got a PS2 as a combination birthday/good grades reward

I was 10 at the time :(

I did the same thing lol, My mom bought a Playstation 1 for my bro and I never looked back. Colony Wars and GT1 were my first games. Then I got FF7 as a birthday gift. I'll never forget watching the FF7 intro for the first time, from that day forward I was a Sony fan.

I'm still waiting on this one Sony. And no, before you say it, it was put on hold, not cancelled, put on hold.

Also DemonNite! Remember to make the sequel of the Kaz Asura's Wrath GIF!

I had 3 kids, was divorced from my first wife, and just moved in with my current wife when I bought a PS1. Holy Crap am I old.

Twisted Metal 1 was a blast, played it a lot with my bro in split-screen. Colony Wars was the most atmospheric game back in the days, dat music, dose graphics and dat story ;-o
FF7 was my first JRPG and I was floored by its awesomeness back in the days!

Surprisingly, my brother and I loved playing TM4, and every time the second boss showed, we were like "we gotta hide!" Haha Twisted Metal is great, I might just give TM PS3 a try again.

Lol, the AI in Twisted Metal 1 were funny as hell. Suburbs stage I would constantly see one of the vehicles get stuck in a back and forth loop for like a min. and so many times on the Rooftops stage, the cars would occasionally just drive off the buildings and die. Good times.
