btw atleast retro acknowledges E3. I sent them a fb message a couple days saying, "E3 is coming" and they replied today saying, "Yes, it is."

I'm half for and half against this. A new Metroid Prime or even a 2D Metroid from them would most likely be amazing, but I'm still holding onto the possibility of a new I.P.
Super Metroid is going to be available until the 13th though. But yeah, it seems there are some holes in my arguement.

I don't mind Aonuma's Zelda games, but I really want to see what would happen with Koizumi on board again. My favorite Zelda game is Majora's Mask, so I really want to see those two work together again. I don't know how much was Koizumi and how much was Aonuma, but I know Koizumi was the mastermind behind the whole three days scenario (which gave birth to a repeatable side quest system that I am convinced will never be surpassed).

Also, it took them 5 years to make Skyward Sword. What makes you think they can do an HD remaster of Wind Waker, AND put new content in it, in a year's time?
I think we'll be lucky if they even update the geometry.

Because they could do something very different, with the Metroid franchise. I would like a 3rd person Metroid for example.
They are. For one the notes will change from yellow to black to reflect the GamePads righthand analogue stick.

Agreed. I'm sure there will be some minor changes to some of the mechanics of sailing and the removal of some of the frustrations involved with the Triforce quest and that's about it. It's extremely unlikely that any major new content will be added, especially if the game is to release this year.

Skyward Sword wasnt in full scale development for 5 years, I think I read that it was for 3. The way Nintendo does it is they have a very small team of only 2 - 3 people, the director and the producers meet weekly to plan the direction of the series while they are working on other things and do a basic outline of the game. Then they bring in some more people make some prototypes, then they bring in the cavalry to make the game.

As long as it looks better than the concept shots.
It took them 5 years to finish Skyward Sword because they we're having problems with the motion controls, at one point of development they scrapped the idea but than they went back and tried to do it again.
Skyward Sword would of released way earlier than 2011 if they didn't have to learn how to use Motion controls for it.
That's why Zelda Wii U will be faster to finish because if they wanted to do motion controls again than they know how to do it, and if they just wanted to use more traditional controls than they can do that too.

From what I've seen, in Metroid Other M Samus can take enemies out in awesome ways... I would love to see something like this in a 3rd person Metroid game without everything that is bad about Other M.

I didn't mean graphically, I meant adding things like new dungeons and such. We already know it will look differently.
