Playing New Leaf, packing for E3.
Do you feast on the tears of Animal Crossing fans waiting?

you could always ignore it like I did, but I ended up regretting doing so as soon as the game came out, since I had no clue they changed the physics. So disappointing.I actually don't. The Dojo is part of what killed the excitement for it for me at launch. Practically everything had been revealed beforehand. People were disappointed at the roster because the characters we didn't know were all pretty much old characters, with everything new already having been revealed.
Why would you put yourself through that again?
That conference was just a brutal tidal wave of disappointment. The right at the end, when you think it couldn't possibly get any worse; Nintendo Land fireworks!
At least 3D Mario, Kart and Smash will mean we wont have to face that again.
Smash 4 in 7 days though. I reeeeeeeeeaaaalllllllly hope they do a Dojo type thing again.
How evilThey are delicious.
It was. The direct needs to have the whole thing with similar production. The opening was fantastic, though. People like to forget that.

I'm sorry to hear that, my condolences.Just found out my grandad died and the funeral is three hours before the Direct.
He liked his games though so I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I check up on my phone at the wake.
I can still get on the hype train though can't I?

Starting to get hyped to see the next 3D Mario, the main galaxy theme popped up on random track play this morning might have had something to do with it![]()
No its notSorry, wrong thread
Sorry, wrong thread
Next 3D Mario will be incredible but I thought of what Galaxy stage will be like on SSB4. With the right music... There's some serious potential right there.

Huh... And do you really think they wouldn't reveal the initial cast list before release if there was no dojo? That's basic information that pretty much needs to be revealed one way or another. The only secrets officially revealed before release were Snake and Sonic, who were revealed outside of the Dojo anyway, before the Dojo made updates about them. There's no way they'd ever have been just silently included in the game, and then never promoted, only letting people learn about them after the game's release, dojo or no dojo.

Oh man, I just got a clear visual of that and I'm drooling.
Im speechlessI never got into Smash Bros![]()
Basic information, sure. However, the amount of information that was in the Dojo was ridiculous for a game before launch. It killed nearly every potential surprise
While I agree, if there isn't a simultaneous worldwide release, the surprises will be spoiled anyway. Personally I want a more limited Dojo with info on some stages and items but no reveal of unlockable characters.

Fighting on a mini-planet/platform with it's own gravity at the top and bottom while comets and stuff fly about? It's pretty nice to imagine, actually. :3
Miiverse community?
The biggest character reveal of them all that legit shook you was from the dojo.I don't see it. What were these surprises killed specifically by the Dojo? Do you really think people would care more about the new items if the dojo didn't have one page descritions for each of them? Or that music samples (which didn't even cover all remixes in the end) were a problem? Or maybe they shouldn't have revealed basic starting game modes?
The big secret character reveals, which was your initial complaint, didn't come from the Dojo. It had updates about them, but only after their reveal elsewhere (and only after the game's launch for the remaining characters - meanwhile everywhere else already had the full line up by the time the Dojo started revealing them due to the game being out). Even items had content that was considered "secret" and only revealed after the game's launch too, like Assist Trophies Isaac, Custom Robo and Shadow.

And now please imagine fighting ON BIONIS AND MECHONIS WHILE THEY'RE FIGHTING EACH OTHER!!!!!why is there no gif of this part of the intro cutscene?
/dies.
I never got into Smash Bros![]()
Dojo was brilliant for hyping and information. I wouldn't mind Nintendo taking that route for the next Smash Bros.
And there were character reveals on the Dojo. Some reveals happened before they were posted on Dojo, but several characters were announced via the website, and yes that includes Sonic, which was the Dojo's biggest update (the one they announced after Brawl's release got the most hits that day and was the only update to crash Dojo's servers).
I hope the 3DS version is different than the Wii U version of Smash Bros. I really like the idea of the 3DS version being a single player component, with the Wii U version being the multiplayer component. Although I understand why most wouldn't like that idea.

I'm positive 99% sure Sonic was unveiled at a Nintendo Japan fall event.
Another random game popped into my head, didn't Straight Edge (or whoever did the ME 3/Deus Ex ports) say they had an original game in the works for the system?
Hmm anyone happen to have the reveal thread for this?

Trucks are designed to transport heavy things, while trains transport people. But nice find.
