I still remember when Uncharted 2 released. Took everyone by surprise. Drake went being a non-starter to beating down Batman and Ezio. It even had it's own rap video. A next generation Uncharted is all I want to play. Just imagine what ND would be capable of. It's crazy how Uncharted has essentially jumped to the top of my most anticipated games. They've come really far in these past few years.

They've only been waiting 7 years. They've earned this one. I'm sure SE will understand.

Also, Kagari will likely be absent from shock and take a couple weeks to recover. You may as well say your farewells now.

lol THIS is my most favorite Uncharted rap song

ps: Strong language warning btw :D It's hilarious tho

i know we have ps4 remote play on vita confirmed and i hope that works pretty well because i love being on the computer and playing on the vita while taking breaks but has anyone considered the possibility of playing vita games on a ps4? maybe that mystery port on top connects to ps4 via some cable and you can play up res versions of the existing vita games? that would be something and with all this cross play stuff that would take care of some of the software that can technically be backwards compatible if you have a vita. is this possible?

Depends if people are counting down to Monday, the conference, or the beginning of the E3 event.

Personally my count down is for the MS conference, since that kicks the day off.

Unfortunately, neither is five days away at this point. And this thread should count down to the Sony E3 press conference, as it is about that: Premature numbers to post first are getting annoying.

I was thinking recently about Naughty Dog's PS4 situation. Do you guys think it may be possible / probable even, that we see their next game being a new Jak & Daxter rather than a new Uncharted?

Reasons for me thinking this -

- The Last of Us is in some ways similar to Uncharted (a mature, third person adventure game with a focus on stealth, shooting / elements of horror)
- ND had planned a reboot for J&D before dropping the idea in favour of TLOU.
- They have two teams and may be tired of Uncharted. Not wishing for the series to get to stale.
- Jak & Daxter has had a HD collection recently.
- Jak & Daxter and TLOU would mean 2 IP's targeting a teen and mature age range.
- Uncharted could then return in a few years time when it's had a break.

Surely the Sega exclusives will include Yakuza...

(in which case WOOHOO!)

Personally at this point in time im not bothered about the exclusives or who wins E3. I just want to know if Sony has any kind of "Gotcha" kicks in the teeth, like vita memory prices or $599 or online behind a paywall.

Wave 1 exclusive titles are not system sellers for me personally. I want to see what Devs can acheive once they really start to understand the systems limits and how to push them.

I think we'd see another new IP before J&D if they wanted to give Uncharted a small break. That way they could have a new franchise make its debut on the PS4. I do think they'll just go to UC4 though.

J&D is one of my favorite series in gaming, but nah I've given up all hope on a Jak 4. Naughty Dog give me the impression that they don't really care all about that series anymore, but I'm somewhat okay with that personally because the Uncharted series is awesome too and has really evolved into it's own.

I'm sure there'll be one at least.

But for me, online behind a paywall wouldn't be bad if it was PS+. I pay for that anyway.

Still waiting on Yakuza 5... come on Sega.

I hope you like waiting... and waiting...

yeah
has fatmura ever done one of these before?
somehow i doubt he'll start

Nomura very rarely makes any public appearances. So it'd be genuinely surprising if he were to show up at E3. I think he was recently photographed during some radio interview, but even then it was just the back of his head.

I agree, but will SEGA actually release a PS4 Yakuza outside of Japan? That is the real question IMO.

Well, we'll find out if we're getting Yakuza 5 at E3. Sega may have teased it recently, but we'll have to wait to find out.

I keep almost buying Yakuza 3 and then don't. Should I?

Yakuza 3 is a good entry point since it has a detailed summary video of the events of Yakuza 1 and 2. It also starts off slow in Okinawa but picks up a lot about halfway or so through it and the plot is full of twists and turns throughout, I recommend it.

I don't know. For me, a new and only on PS4 version of Gran Turismo, and MLB The Show would easily force my hand.. Especially if they weren't rush jobs, or crap quality. I'd buy a system for them on the spot.

Your avatar is awesome.

Thanks. I've had it since I first got on GAF. I don't like the idea of changing avatars so it took me a little bit to find a good one. And then it hit me to just image search KH Mickey. I knew something slick would eventually come up.
