Some people take criticism over their favorite games and studios way to seriously and even in personal levels, Just state your opinion respectably and don't engage in pointless fights that lead to insults or anything even if they call you troll, fanboy or hater, keep it on opinions level.

P.S and Last of US demo thread is weird, I said the gameplay is great but game have some graphicla flaws and many people got really upset.
P.S2 Halo Reach was alright, Halo 4 is not even a real Halo game.

Being a junior is pretty much the hazing period for you on Gaf. If you survive it without being banned, you're pretty much gonna have a good time here. There are loads of rules that are either clearly specified or curiously found only on backwater/underground areas
The main tips I can give you is to only post about stuff you like and avoid trolls because they thrive on pretty much any forum. As long as you're making a contribution to the discussion and not taking away from it, you'll pretty much be ok. Also, not sure if you knew but, ban as a junior = perm ban so. Also the group here at Vita-gaf is usually pretty awesome, unless you're Toto or Lucashaq then you pretty much hate everything

We are hardcore gamers, we are very passionate about video games, there are extreme fans here and there that will do that for every game even the bad ones but the magic trick is to not get mad if they attack you,keep calm and post your opinions.

Pretty clear alot of those people aren't stable enough to have civil discussions about an unreleased game

There are loads of die-hard fans as others have posted, some of them just will not sway in their opinion on a game, ironically even on unreleased games as you mentioned.
Like, I'm crazy hyped for loads of Vita games that aren't out yet like Ys Celceta, KZ: Mercenary, Tearaway, Toukiden, etc.
TLOU has a CRAZY amount of hype so, if it doesn't get like all perfect scores people are going to LOSE THEIR MINDS. Seriously, just watch tomorrow when the embargo lifts lolol.

thats the best thing you can do - no matter how badly you want to react. good tip is to type out your response. and when youre done wait a minute and think is it really worth it. almost always it is not, and it's just useless jargon, that doesnt really matter in the long run - and you don't end up posting.
Also, people get really testy about their hyped games and around E3, so that's a double whammy. just lay low (posting in this thread is pretty safe), make useful contributions and you'll be a "member" in no time...

GAF has many facets and it's just about finding what you like and avoiding what you don't. Like, personally, sales talk drives me nuts because generally speaking the people in those threads don't know their ass from their elbow. I also avoid a lot of pre-release threads because, like you, I find it unenjoyable to argue with someone who has an irrational love or hate of something they've never played.
But the OTs are wonderful, imo. Threads like this are great. News breaks here before the rest of the internet finds out. There's a number of people who leak good info

My main issue with Toro is that most of my friends aren't playing and my friendslist is nearly full. So I can't really add people to it easily :/

I'm kind of excited God Eater Burst oming to PS+ NA I've been about to buy the game 3 times already and now I'm getting it free. Plus I'll finally get to play VLR so it's a good month in my book.

I didn't want Orc Attack in the first place. I've been curious about Gods Eater Burst since people in here mentioned it, but it's never been on sale for less than $20, I think.

GAF (hidden) rule #1. Never -- and I mean NEVER -- criticize a Sony exclusive. Made that mistake as a neophyte with PSABR. Was nearly crucified for predicting what eventually ended up happening; that the game would bomb.
Nah...#1 is dont criticize Nintendo games, dont criticize Sony games is #2
Orc Attack got delayed period, so GEB got put in it's place. I'm sure it'll be part of next month's lineup.

Really wish Orc Attack was still coming, it's one of those many indie games that has absolutely no release window. I think it looks fun, mindless co-op brawler with loads of humor.
Still, pretty pumped for VLR, Machinarium, Saints Row III. I REALLY wish we got Kingdoms of Amalur tho, that'd be amazing.
