BTW that show floor thing with MS... yeah I don't buy it. I've always seen both booths have multiplat games - the same titles at both booths - despite any co-marketing on either side.

I don't buy it at all. It sounds NEXT LEVEL ridiculous. Even microsoft has to know that's a waste of money.

Rumor that MSFT was throwing around tons of money to publishers to not mention PS4 versions of multiplat games.

They can mention them, they just can't show them on floor which is so ridiculous I have to believe it's BS. That's an absolute waste of cash.

Good News! My work allowed me to take Monday off. Woohoo e3 all day long baby!

I thought Sony's reveal event was handled quite well, and I am very excited to finally see the form factor for the console. I usually wait to adopt a Sony console. I got the Psx a year after release, the Ps2 two years after and the ps3 2 years after. I have played my Ps3 more than any other console I have ever owned. The exclusive library after MGS4 was nothing short of astounding. The thing I love is how diverse their first party offerings are. There is nothing on any other console like Heavy Rain or LBP. Uncharted 2 brought gaming to a whole new level. I have laughed, cried and experienced so many joys and frustrations with my Ps3, and I am ready to do it all over again. This time I will be getting a Ps4 at launch. Infamous:Second Son convinced me I needed one and Killzone,Drive Club and Knack are all really strong first party offerings at console launch. Outside of that I love how Sony is embracing and pushing forward the indie gaming scene! So much to offer. And let's not forget how amazing a service playstation plus has turned out to be. It is truly the best deal in gaming and makes live look like a joke. I really hope Sony keeps their conviction in the online space. Gamers should not have to pay to play their games online. We already pay for the internet connection.

So much to look forward to. This is going to be legendary guys and gals.

1-2 weeks ago someone suggested to photoshop Sony-GAFs avatars into the picture frames here.

I really liked the idea.
Would that be possible and would be enough people here interested in this? :)

Can't find a bigger one though...

All the hype has me thinking PS2^2.

Rumor that MSFT was throwing around tons of money to publishers to not mention PS4 versions of multiplat games.

*Microsoft throws money to SE to not show FFXV for PS4*
*Square Enix reveals Final Fantasy XV*
People: For what platform?
SE: dunno

Rumor that MSFT was throwing around tons of money to publishers to not mention PS4 versions of multiplat games.

Sounds petty, dumb and a complete waste of money over the normal co marketing stuff but I wouldn't say its out of the realm of possibility.

I expect MS to toss its weight around a lot if rumours are true about the X1 being underpowered in order to keep multiplat games looking the same on both.

I feel bad for MS fans...

company is going after the wrong crowd

well I think they could still have cool games no matter the graphic fidelity, especially if Kinect 2 is used well and lives up to its promise. But the weak hardware is kind of...weird. If that new rumor is true, PS4 is apparently 100% more powerful in GPU alone >_>

Excellent,
I took Friday, already off on weekends, and I took Monday. That's a 4 day stretch to enjoy all the leaks and melt downs, if there are any.

After all the greatness of e3, we have the last of us for the weekend, what else can top that?

seriously, E3 till the 13th. no doubt the 10th is going to be the big day but in the following days we get to see footage of floor demos and interviews and all that. then Last of Us on the 14th o_O

I used to read a lot of posts on various threads on various sites where people claimed that graphics didn't matter, that what mattered was the games themselves(storytelling, gameplay..etc.). I read a lot of posts around console launches which concern themselves with not just what each machine will offer, but mostly, about power and graphic capability.

I'm one of those that care about both equally, although, I should probably care less about the graphics. Not sure you you guys all feel, but.. would you agree with these opinions?

I got work off and just got notice that my school midterm scheduled for Monday was moved to Tuesday.

It's all coming together.

oh, graphics absolutely matter. Its a visual medium, and first reaction judgement is always on looks. But I think that expecting insane graphics from X1 is a lost cause now for the most part, so might as well look forward to other aspects. Games will look 'good enough' I think. anyways, its kinda off topic in this thread >_>

Good point. Sorry for the off-topic post. I will try to do better in keeping to the subject at hand.

My expectations for PS4 first party game announcements:

SCEA: Ready at Dawn, Sony Santa Monica
SCEE: Media Molecule new move game
SCEJ: The Last Guardian

I expect some love for Ps2 platformers as well in the form of a new Jak game from Sanzaru or a new Ratchet from Insomniac.

The biggest news would be that Sony would still have cards up their sleeves with unannounced games from Naughty Dog, GG, Quantic Dream and Japan Studios.

It's a cross, given the company it keeps.

I know I'll sound insane for saying this, but I've always called the "Cross" like the letter "X", and the "Circle" like the letter "O." I know the latter isn't right, but it's always the first thing to come out of my mouth when someone asks me which button to hit in reference to the circle.

Wow pretty wild day today. Alot of new news from Sony coupled with TLoU reviews. And on the otherside the MS troubles. It is as if this all was planned.

They'll be announcing the replacements to the year-round PS+ titles during the conference, won't they?

I wonder what they'll be offering up. My guess is on PS All Stars BR and maybe UC3 single player and something else.

What's going on in that TRUTHFACT thread is one of the most jawdropping things i've seen in awhile. The fact that Sony actually caught MS is just crazy. I don't think anyone was expecting that.

Seriously it is such a big mess, I still can't belive we get so many bad news one after another for the XBox One and almost none for the ps4.

Caught by Sony?
As in, sabotage exposed?

MS weren't expecting the PS4 to have the type of specs that it does. It caught them completely off guard. That's why they really don't want to talk in detail about the specs for the Xbox One, and why they've been pushing the "infinite power of the cloud". On top of that they're struggling with the hardware that they actually did go with and they might have to downgrade that.

Hmm so does that mean they wont be showing up to Sonys show? Maybe they pulled out at the last minute to do their own thing?

The SE 'event' isn't a conference or anything, it's just a press-only meeting, the day after Sony's event. So the actual reveal will be at Sony's, with more details the following day once press report.

But will it force microsoft to delay the launch when Sony launches the ps4 this year or you think they will go ahead and try anyways. either way. buying the ps4 lol

They can't really afford to do that. It would mean that they'd be giving Sony a holiday season alone with CoD, Assassin's Creed and Battlefield, plus whatever other multiplatform games are coming out. That's why it looks like they're going to downgrade the hardware instead of delaying it.
