Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX E3 2013 trailer

Wow, there's been so few sony trailer leaks so far! Last year almost the whole conference was leaked (aside the the harry potter stuff). Keep it up, I'm expecting at least 3 more over next few days!

Edit:

Though I guess this could be a leak from the Squeenix conference (do they have one?). Just assumed Sony cause it's an exclusive.

One GIF is simply not enough for the epicness that is this trailer and the three games coming in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix!!!!*

Edit:

*Fine 2 games and beautiful HD Cutscenes for the other. Are you happy NOW!!!! ;P

True, but it's the bridging game between KH2 and 3, and the numerous climaxes at the end are, in my opinion at least, quite glorious.

Everything important happens at the start or end of the game really with the middle just being adventure stuff. You could sum it up in a brief explanation from Yen Sid to Kairi
who the player starts the game as while she undertakes her Keyblade training.

There was one lie in the trailer, though... Chain of Memories isn't nearly as legendary as the other two games.

This series is the reason why Square Enix still lives in my heart.

It's strange how.. lopsided SE's output can be. Some people hate him for his character designs and story ideas, but Nomura knows how to make really fun games. If anything, the Kingdom Hearts series has only gotten better with time (though the story has become more and more nonsensical.)

This is more of a commercial trailer than a conference trailer. Also it was announced months ago. They would probably have this running on repeat at their booth. Sony definitely wouldn't waste time on it at their press conference.

For all the shit that he (usually rightfully) gets for his character designs, stories, etc., most of the Square Enix games I've enjoyed this generation he was usually involved with. That's more than I can say for pretty much anyone else at that company.

Long been preordered. I have long given up caring about the plot, and 3D made it EVEN WORSE. However the first game still holds immense nostalgia for me and I still view it as my favorite. So I will purchase this collection just for it. Have absolutely zero desire to replay CoM. I guess I'll watch the Days movie but I don't care much about it either.

I should create a list of PS3 games that I'm gonna want when I get a PS4. I've never played KH1 before, but 2's counted among my favorite games of all time, so.

In what way? Days isn't riddled with tedious gameplay mechanics and its story actually starts from the beginning instead of half way, like in Chain of Memories.

Days doesn't have tedious mechanics, it's just tedious in general.

Calling either game legendary is kind of asinine, though.

so after this is released they will release 2.5 remix on PS4, and then right when you think they will put out KH 3, they will put out 1.5 reremix on PS4, and by that time they will put out 2.5 reremix on PS5, and then they will put 1.5 reremix on PS5, and theeeeenn

Hahahahahahaha

LET'S VISIT THE SAME FIVE WORLDS OVER AND OVER AND OVER TO DO THE SAME DAMN MISSIONS OVER AND OVER!
NORMAL LEVELING? SCREW THAT! HAVE SOME PANELS!

CoM sets the stage for KH2, and it does so in a decent way. Days on the other hand adds nothing new to the story other than the plot device that is Xion.

Well, it did tie up some loose ends. Like why Riku looks like Ansem, how they managed to get Roxas, and why the Organization names are so weird (anagram of the original name with an X in it).

A plot device that in the long run ended up meaning nothing. They made an entire game solely to justify
why Roxas can use a second Keyblade
. That's how hard they were reaching just to have a KH game to put out on the DS.

Days is basically "Fan Service" the game.

1. Explained in FM2
2. Explained in KH2
3. I pretty much figured that out on my own. But it was made even clearer in Dream Drop Distance.

So, yeah, added absolutely nothing. Except for the embodiment of everything I dislike about KH.

Still love the franchise to death though.

Technically, it's called 'Hikari'. The orchestral version is subtitled 'Kingdom' though. :P

That's what I meant.

I will forgive them for it because not only did it set up one of the saddest moments in Kingdom Hearts we got this track because of her.

Musique pour la tristesse de Xion

The panel system is actually one of the most acclaimed parts of days. It works pretty well, and I don't see what's wrong with it. Also, not every Mission is days is necessary to complete the game, so if you go through them too much, you probably did more than you needed to.

CoM sets the stage for KH2, and it does so in a decent way. Days on the other hand adds nothing new to the story other than the plot device that is Xion.

Days fills in a lot of blank spaces in the series: How Roxas gets the ability to dual wield, what he did while in the organization, what the organization was up to, what riku did while sora was sleep, etc. Xion might have been a plot device, but she was handled well and offered some of the most emotional and well written scenes in the franchise—sans whowillihaveicecreamwith-yadda-yadda...

You could argue it was unnecessary, but that doesn't mean it didn't offer valuable information for the series. 80% of CoM is irrelevant to the story. Hell, most of it is irrelevant to CoM.

It should be illegal a this point to keep using that song in each trailer.... more so 'cause i fall for it every single time. I want this game nooooow!!!

You really want to cry?

The end credits themes for KH1 and 2 are CRUSHINGLY depressing. I beat Kingdom Hearts 1 right after I graduated high school, so that end credits theme (and thus Dearly Beloved) is intrinsically linked to the death of my childhood.

Birth By Sleep's on the other hand is badass, ominous AND depressing all at the same time.

Damn, time to go through the entire KH soundtrack again.

Most of that was irrelevant to the story. Half the Org gets offed within the first couple of hours, and other than eat ice cream after almost every mission, Roxas didn't do much of anything. Riku only appeared, what, maybe twice or three times over the course of the game, and did mostly nothing.

Xion wasn't handled well at all imo. There was no point in the story where I cared what happened to her. Even towards the end where things supposedly got "emotional" I felt absolutely nothing. Hell, I felt more sorry for Replica Riku than I did for Xion.
I was glad to see her die.

Without CoM, the story falls apart completely. Without Days, the worst that could happen is we don't get more Axel. Because that's all Days was, a chance to get some Roxas/Axel friendship time.

Simply beautiful. And to be honest, Xion is less of a plot device than Kairi.
At least Kairi is going to be more useful in the future. Same can't be said for Xion. But I do agree that her music is great. SO at least she has that going for her.
