Oh come on.
If you're using Windows 7 already, 8 is not that bad.

Hybrid is 60fps and uses Source Engine.
edit: maybe 5th Cell is porting!they're better than Valve with source...
Man you Sony PS4 crusaders need to read before jumping, I know it's fashionable now to doubt everything Xbox One related and cast doubt on any thing positive. They did not say the game was not possible on PS4, they said their team is too small for project like this to do game for both system. They decided to went with Xbox One because Microsoft have cloud server service. It's also possible on other system but would require more resource.
Really hope this isn't exclusive...

I agree. I fully expect XBL to become a monthly paid service instead of $60 a year. $10-15 a month probably.
Didn't you read the DF technical look at MS's cloud claims?
I think this is referring to lag & download speeds.
Cloud induced latency
So.. biggest leak in video game history? I mean we were going to find out about it in a week anyway but I have to imagine MS and EA REALLY didn't want anyone to know about this so it would be a huge, potentially console war winning surprise.
Source engine? Did I read that right? WTF
So are you saying that you don't believe MS paid for exclusivity?
That being said, dedicated servers for consoles is awesome. I hope the trend continues ( COD I am looking at you!).
GI: "What XBox One lacks in RAM, it potentially makes up for in cloud computing." Talks about how the game will have unlimited dedicated servers for the game, offloading "a few dozen AI" and physics, says the game would be impossible without the cloud and wouldn't have attempted it. Still dealing with unfinished hardware and software, so it's "still a little rough going at times."

I feel kind of indifferent, to be honest. I guess it sounds neat, but it does not seem like something that I absolutely must play. Good deal for those who care, though.
I presume this won't have a offline mode?
I think heavy online focus on gameplay will be the next "thing" next gen. I wouldn't be shocked if only a minor amount of games had pure sp campaign next gen.

360 version is being outsourced. Also may be reduced heavily (think Wii to PS3/360).
Destiny gets a PS4 version but no PC immediately announced, then PC gets Respawn's game, but no PS4 version immediately announced. Weird.
I'm not upgrading my OS for a game.

Too expensive to do a PS4 version.
Outsources a 360 version.
It was the same with ps3. The very people championing Sony at the end of this gen were quick to say the ps3 would 'fail'.
that digital foundry article suddenly seems a bit silly huh.
Whoa, it's on Source? Wonder if it's a heavily customized fork of the engine version circa 2010/2011, or if they're keeping up with Valve and using a newer version that the general public hasn't seen yet.
And yet getting around like that would be fun as hell. Who cares if it's ridiculous, it's a videogame.
Whew! I won't need an Xbox One to play this. I'd rather upgrade my PC than buy Mircosofts watered-down version of next gen.

Games have had multiplayer bots (or AI) as you call it since the dawn of time
All theses moneyhatting terms being thrown around. You have to spend money to get 3rd party exclusives for your console.
Nice work?
Yeah, I don't understand how developers are developing their game. Given both the PS4 and the XBO are essentially a PC (more so on the PS4), I presume they would develop on the PC and port, but that doesn't seem to be the case thus far. Maybe I'm missing something.

TitanFall may not be the only highly anticipated shooter in Microsoft's corner for the next-gen console wars. As revealed last year, the contract Bungie signed with Activision for the Destiny franchise calls for the franchise to debut on the Xbox 360 and possibly its successor this fall, with a PlayStation 4 edition not launching until fall of 2014 at the earliest. That agreement was signed in April of 2010.
Sounds fucking awesome.. I hope it has cross platform play.
If you think it's too expensive to do a PS4 versions then you're kidding yourselves. They are being paid not to do (or at least not announce) a PS4 version. That's the business of third party exclusives (even if its timed).
evidently running them and large physics events, on the server allows the intelligence Part of AI finally as well...prerty unique for console games while the local machine is busy pushing graphicsGames have had multiplayer bots (or AI) as you call it since the dawn of time
This cloud computing is either 100% BS or it will be a bigger disaster then Diablo 3 and Sim City launch combined

I actually did not know that.
Wow, I guess 5th Cell is better than Valve.
That's not really the point though. 7 is still a supported OS by MS. No reason to force users to upgrade anyway unless they'd like to be evil and make players spend extra money by either getting their console or a new version of Windows well before a new one was actually needed.
