Amazon US opens DD "Indie games store" with a nice sale

Amazon Indie games store

"The Amazon Indie Games Store helps independent game developers reach more customers, and helps customers learn about more creative games and the people and processes behind building those games. "

Also, 100% of sales goes to developers! At least for the launch bundles, probably not all the time for every game.

To buy from outside the US, simply use any US address as your billing address.

See xelios post below for full list of games on sale.

A few things to note:

- Most (all?) indie game purchases give you $15 of credit to use towards Huntsman, meaning you can pre-order it for free. You'll also get credit to put towards Dynasty of Dusk and The Curse of Nordic Cave, both of which also get knocked down to $0.
- Despite not being mentioned on the page itself, the key Raven Squad gives you is indeed a Steam key, which is notable because the game was pulled from the store some time ago.

ALL BUNDLES & THEIR DRM:

And now for the bundles ("all are $9.99, all revenue goes directly to the developer"). A few of these are in the OP already, but here's the complete list:

I wish Amazon had way better deals on individual titles. As is it, most of their bundles are almost worthless to people who've been in PC gaming for a while -- they might only have one or two games that I don't have already.

StoOgE

First tragedy, then farce.
Looks like they come with pre-order codes for other titles as well:

Order this product between now and 6/14/2013 and receive a $2.99 promotional credit good towards your purchase of "Dynasty of Dusk", making your cost for "Dynasty of Dusk" $0.00. You will receive an email with your promotional code and redemption instructions. Here's how (restrictions apply)

Order this product between now and 6/10/2013 and receive a $14.95 promotional credit good towards your pre-order of "Huntsman: The Orphanage", making your pre-order cost $0.00. You will receive an email with your promotional code and redemption instructions. Qualifying credits for this promotion may only be used one at a time. Here's how (restrictions apply)

Order this product between now and 6/23/2013 and receive a $19.95 promotional credit good towards your purchase of "The Curse of Nordic Cove", making your purchase of "The Curse of Nordic Cove" $0.00. You will receive an email with your promotional code and redemption instructions. Qualifying credits for this promotion may only be used one at a time. Here's how (restrictions apply)

Some more information:

From June 6-10 Amazon are giving away Huntsman: The Orphanage, Dynasty of Dusk, and The Curse of Nordic Cove with any purchase from the Indie Games Store. On 11 June those 3 games will change. And on 17 June they'll change again. And again. (So you might want to space out your purchases)

Tony (the Amazon PCDD guy) is working on adding additional bundles, for example this one

Stealth Bastard Deluxe
Afterfall Insanity Complete
Strike Suit Zero
Mars War Logs and
Galaxy on Fire 2 HD

which sounds pretty crazy. ALSO, he is asking if the devs would be alright with selling the bundled games a la carte fo $1 or $2. So you might want to wait a little before you decide on your purchases!

Oh shit!!! That bundle is even better than the Indie Quintet, because I don't own any of those o_O edit: oh waiiiit it doesn' have the Cave :(

I think it's pretty solid to be honest - we're easily spoiled by Humble Bundles etc.. and these devs are trying to make some cash.

Also for those who like supporting devs, buying these packs where 100% of revenue goes to the devs is better than normal Amazon or Steam deals.

Hm, I may go for the Indie Quintet Bundle. Has anyone played Galaxy on Fire 2? I'm interested in The Cave, Strike Suite Zero and Stealth Bastard anyway...

More hot scoops from Tony:

You get a $7.49 credit towards runner 2 when you buy that bundle (The Gaijin Pack) as well, making your all in cost for all the BIT.TRIP games $14.49 if you buy Runner 2 while it is still $11.99 (most of this sale period).

And I'll add this:

Since Runner 2 just got Steam Trading cards and each of them (you get 4) sells for around $2, the entire Bit.Trip series would cost you pretty much nothing.

It's a port of an iOS game. Kind of pretty, but very shallow and not very interesting.

It's an arcadey space shooter converted from iOS, where it was a very highly rated game. Doesn't mean much though ;)

Galaxy on Fire 2 HD is actually quite good and very pretty. Played it on PC. Unfortunately we don't get the DLC. It can be a bit repetitive but it's definitely worth a few bucks.

I'm totally new to steam and pc gaming in general. The deal on the bit trip games seems legit (I'm used to buying overpriced XBLA games so :p). What say you fellow PCgaffers?

Tony posted a list of everything that's on sale/due to go on sale over at CAG. I took the liberty of weeding out the non-Steam stuff, as well as the superfluous Mac and 4-pack listings:

6/6 only:
6/6-6/12:

6/6-6/23:
6/6-6/23:
6/11-6/23:
6/13-6/23:
A few things to note:

- I'm quite certain the Steam DRM listed on the Mac version of Blockland is an error as while the game is on Greenlight, it hasn't yet been approved. If somebody wants to take one for the team, go right ahead. ;) (Edit: Existing purchasers do get Steam keys in the event the game is greenlit, however.)

Thanks for that Jase. I quoted you into the second post. I'll clean it up when I get home.

can anyone confirm the 7.49 credit for Runner 2 when you buy the Gaijin Tripped Out bundle? it doesn't say anything about it on the store page.

Stumpokapow

listen to the mad man
I bought the Double Fine pack for The Cave, Iron Brigade, and Brutal Legend. If you're interested in buying Costume Quest, Stacking, and Psychonauts off me for $3.50 total, PM me.

Why not just echo the entire list, and mark the non-Steam and 4-pack entries?

I'll add the non Steam deals to the 2nd post for those who are interested regardless of DRM and note what's what, just give me an hour or so to get home.

Since xelios said he'll sort it out (sorry; I was originally going to post the list in the Steam thread until I saw this dedicated thread), I'll just mention that the four-packs are pointless as the per-head cost is the same as buying the game individually. I would have listed them otherwise.

Actually your lists are fine Jase, no reason to apologize. Just gonna alphabetize and mark bundle entries with drm. Thanks again for doing the work.

Edit: I think the Steam thread would still appreciate you posting your list of Steam deals there.

Ok, good to know then. Kind of silly to sell 4 packs with no price benefit.

I got this email after placing my order:

Guess you'll get whatever the hell this is for free if you order a bundle (or at least the one I bought)

Seriously. It's bizarre...

Edit- Never mind, looks like it's being edited in.

Like I said, the list was initially intended for the Steam thread. I didn't realise there was a dedicated thread for the sale.

Yeah, I want Strike Suit Zero, but I'll hold out for the Steam Summer Sale. I'll bite on it at $5
