The lighting settings in one of the last parts shown looks less flattering IMO... sort of overcast scenario. Maybe this is because a lot of games already use 'overcast'-esque ambient occlusion, making it less impactful.
The other stuff, zipping through the trees etc. Very droolworthy. Noticed one touch of pop-in at one point.

I got the impression it was a simulator. They'll need to work harder with their messaging as to what exactly this game is about

The challenge with leaderboards looks really cool. I can easily see myself shoot out some challenges between my friends around the us. College buddies and high school mates as way of staying in touch in a more interactive way than facebook.

They said back when it was announced that it would be more on the arcadey/PGR side than the simulation/GT style. Looks very cool either way.

It's a sime/arcade hybrid. If Grid 2 can pull it off, no reason why Evo can't do it on a next gen platform.

Don't think this will be the looker (could be wrong) but the trackside detail looks nice.
I think the MP and social (from an online game play perspective) aspects will be the real driver behind this game. Something that a lot of other racers lack. If they nail that then we could have another breakout hit to compliment GT.
