Yea, how do they go forward? How do they team Superman up w/ anyone else? Every movie we'll be seeing cities destroyed.

I understand what you're saying, but that math doesn't compute, mostly because - as you say - a lot of it is out of context. Almost all of it, in fact. This trailer is probably the closest to being a linear progression of plot as we've gotten, and even then, I don't know if it gives away anything more than a REALLY vague idea of where the movie goes for the first 40 minutes before descending into a blizzard of quick cuts - and almost all of these sequences seem to come from the same 6 or 7 scenes. Even the new footage is just extensions of the old footage we've seen coming from those 6 or 7 scenes.
And again - the only people who have likely seen ALL 6 minutes of this thing are people like us, on messageboards, who are actively seeking out most of the marketing for the film. The marketing isn't really being created for us because 1) We're guaranteed sales, at this point. If we're willing to watch 8/12 TV spots and 4/5 trailers, we're going to see the movie 2) Most people are going to see maybe 3 or 4 spots on TV and maybe one of the trailers in the theater. And most of those people aren't going to be committing the details to memory thanks to rewatches of the marketing.
The people WB is aiming for is, basically, not us.

What they're showing isn't plot details. Its just supes blowing shit up. DO people really see action and chaos as spoilers? All I see is destruction and badassary with no context.

I'm fine with that. People want to see Supes in action. I don't want any of the plot points detailed beyond the normal information that we already know of the characters.

Pit Superman against someone not stronger than him, but far smarter and more cunning than him. And, someone who can hide behind the shield of public law, if they go the PROPER route and have Lex a legitamite but shady business tycoon.

I don't agree, but it wouldn't be the first time movie trailers are better than movies. See iron man 3 and Prometheus.

I hope so but we should all temper our hype. The movie looks amazing but we haven't even seen it so to call it the movie to beat, etc is a little early and screams of crazy. I want it to be successful as much as anyone here, esp with supes being such a great hero (kingdom come supes being my favorite, come at me metahumans) but its getting out of hand.
Case in point:
Wasn't there a gaffer who saw it and said it was good but not great? So..yeah....temper the hype

I really like Cavill. He looks great. Zod looks great. I hate Zod as a character, though. Ma Kent isn't even remotely how I see a middle America mother. Costner fits a middle America father perfectly, but Ma Kent is WAY off.
And the Kents are possibly the most important characters to get right apart from Superman himself. Moreso than Lois Lane.

I just have never been into superman really. Kinda got on the hype train when I was way younger with the death of superman series. But the take on superman snyder has going just looks amazing. Love the alien technology, and suit designs. I hope im not disapointed like i was with the dark knight returns....
"People" have been wrong too often for me to give any credence. I remember people liking Prometheus a lot too. But I'm looking forward to MoS, so don't get the wrong idea.

I was week. I saw the new trailer and it was fantastic. Each newtrailer has increased my excitement for the movie.

People said the same thing about TDKR, clearly they were high. I have no doubt this will probably be the best Superman movie yet though, just by the realization of Supes finally fucking shit up and having equally powerful enemies. The Donner films were limited by tech in that regard.
