To be honest, I just want a frank open talk. No chest beating. No PR Spin.

But that's not gonna happen. These people go on stage and they become inhuman pr mouthpieces. Nobody talks like that in real life. Nobody uses those words so frequently in so few sentences.

On top of that, they have to cover so much, we're bound to be bored for 2/3rds of the conference.

Vita/PS3/PS4 have to fit in with all those montages.

The reveal will be amazing!

I love it. One leak from a MS game and people are worried Sony has nothing to show.

It has more to do with all the consistent rumors surrounding their E3 conference. Fallout 4, League of Legends, Dead Rising 3 etc. The PS conference just has FF. And that's definitely huge, but it's also one game.

Do you personally think TitanFall is the biggest E3 megton? Will Sony be able to have something in the caliber of that announcement?
No. I don't know why it'd be considered a megaton in the first place. And it'll end up on the PS4 too. So, it hardly matters.

No one said Sony has nothing to show. Far from it. We KNOW they have things to show. But lets be honest here people, Sony's history this generation hasn't exactly been consistent. While I appreciate your confidence in the information you are getting I'm a consumer and like every generational transition, the market it open.

XIII has an incredible battle system, it just makes you wait 24hrs before it makes you use it.

I don't like ATB... never have. In older games I learned to deal with it, and even love those games, but in XIII ATB just annoys me to new heights. It's the foundation of the battle system, so it's hard to ignore.

The only thing I liked about FFX was how they laid out the order for you... no fucking ATB. Cast haste and actually see how it was going to affect the order. No cheap bullshit from enemies with unexpected stacking of power attacks. It was more cerebral, imo... than racing a fucking clock. XIII is built on racing the clock and, even worse than any past ATB FF... it comes at the cost of giving away control of the party! I'm having trouble connecting with the game because of it.

Yeah, I can see where there is still strategy... but I think it's cheap to arbitrarily ratchet up tension by adding stiff time pressures. And the way the game is streamlined I find too offensive... in the way people often complain about FFXII, but at least there I was still always in control, and if I desired, could micromanage the entire battle. In XIII I'm required to trust the AI, and I'm sorry, but this little kid is a stupid douche and he keeps fucking me over.

edit: lol... maybe this is the proper thread for this rant.

God, if MGS is Xbone exclusive....I'll cry

That would be like bayonetta 2?

And how is that even possible given they already announced it on PS3.

If MGS V is exclusive to xbone as next-gen consoles I can still expect a shitstorm but I think timed exclusive dlc is more likely.

If anything you'll see that many people are worried about Sony's conference because there aren't any leaks or even consistent rumors. There are always two ways of looking at that. They've managed to keep everything a secret so far or they just don't have anything of significance to show.

I'm not going to get into speculation but like I've said around 10 times at least now, games will not be an issue for PS4. I'm not claiming to know everything but I think the tighter they are, the bigger the surprise or inertia of seeing some of these games for the first time at their presser is going to be.

Who has been consistent?

And that's where we'll differ then. I think they can show up with just their first party stable of games for the PS4 and they'd be perfectly fine. I find their output since 2009 should do nothing but inspire confidence in the consumer. You know you'll be getting plenty of games from them. And arguably, the best developer going right now is under their umbrella. What's not consistent about them? And if you're referring to the rocky start for the PS3, then I'd just say it's clearly a very different situation.

You. I trust you. You're saying things that resonate with me.

Monday is a lifetime away now...

Avalanche, I'm betting, is going MS exclusive... they are in full on damage control mode and are talking cloud power and anti-consumer bullshit, seems every other day now.

I feel like it will be their best E3 since the PS2 days.

I really hope so. Coming out of this E3 I want to have a clear "winner" as far as which console I'm buying first. I'll get both eventually but I'm only getting one this Holiday and throughout next year.

yea they have been defending Xbox one for a while, I am betting one of their projects is Xbox One exclusive.

I don't know if they have an exclusive planned, but it definitely doesn't make sense for a third party developer to defend the decisions of a first party like that. Activision didn't even do that when they were asked about used games. They just said that it's up to MS to sell people on it.
