Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

So some of you with smartphones may have heard of a horrible Technika clone called Cytus. Apparently they've just announced a PlayStation Mobile port they are calling Cytus Lambda. It will launch near the end of the month.

Watch the trailer.

This game is not awful! I've played the Android version and it's perfectly credible in it's own right. It'll be out on the 26th according to kassatsu (also, I write for PSNStores now).

I was thinking, why don't we open a thread for this? The more the people requesting games(not only vitabros but even people who don't have vita but would buy it for certain jrpgs) the better!
EDIT:
sorry for the double post.
This seems excessive for what is an informal poll. I can picture the thread already... *shudders*

Hi guys. I'm currently backing up all of my games and save files, preparing to format my memory card. I'm moving over my stuff to a new card. Anything I need to be aware of, or take into consideration before formatting?

I bought an accessory pack from Big Ben with a random screen protector in it, seems to do the job. Heard good things about Hori protectors though.

Don't think Big Ben operates in Japan unfortunately (?)
I've read conflicting things about the Hori one, but I'll try my luck. Apparently people couldn't deal with the new application process, but it looks like the exact same thing I had to do with my 3DS LL film so I should manage.

Only a few days left! I'll probably get my Vita on Wednesday, unless they announce a new unit that's only to be sold at a later date or something at the conf.

From what I remember from when I did it. Just back up using content manager. Use the back up option and dont do it as individual apps. Then put new card in and restore from back up. Should appear exactly like old card did.

The gameplay can get a bit repetitive but you're definitely missing out if you don't finish it. :/

There's a few innovations in the gameplay that make the bland shooting a little more bearable than in the first two Bioshock games, but the gameplay itself pales in comparison to the level design/set pieces and the story.

Though, the story suffers from having to be attached to a game where you murder 1000 dudes in some parts.

This is something that comes up every so often on the iOS threads: I think this is probably the post that best summarizes the issues Cytus has. It's been months since that post and very little has changed; it's still a very pretty game that fails to sync properly to its music - a failure on the most fundamental level for a music game. The Android version, from the three devices I've tried it on, is even worse.

There's a chance this one won't be crap, but they're 0 for 2 so far.

Nice. Some DLC stuff for OMG HD Zombies went up on the store this week, left me a bit confused, haha.

I'll buy it for £3. :)

Oh and the blogpost at Laughing Jackal says July, not June.

Yeh. That was an error on our designers part. The DLC is essentially like the Mighty Falcon thing in Angry Birds. Not really a necessary purchase.

Someone shall be flogged for the date mistake :) Its June 19th

Having grabbed it via a screw up at SCEE, what you have in the comments are correct - in that the hit circles are still big and that you can pre-empt the other 2 types of notes before that part of the song.

Since you mentioned it, I've also realised that yes, it does feel a bit off the beat at times. I'll still probably enjoy it. Of course, in EU regions with PSM, it'll be the only rhythm game around until Kickbeat (supposedly out later this year).

I really liked the mini version, will buy that. I can't see the blog page from work, is this a simple "hd port" or is there more/new content?

Whole new content.

All levels are re-done with differing zombie types (except levels 1 &2)
All new touch based menus
3 new zombie types
10 new levels
2 new endings
Brand new comic book story telling for the intro and endings
Leaderboards
Trophies
Prestiging (Affects leaderboard scores)
Touch and classic controls
We re-balanced some of the original zombies too

Don't do a full backup, just the individual games. Makes managing your library much easier.
Do one last trophy sync to make sure everything is updated.

depends. If he wants his vita to be exactly like how it is on the old card then yes do a full back up. However back up games individually before you delete them unless you are comfortable just re-downloading them and losing your save (unless you have ps+ and cloud saves)
