I love Crash Bandicoot 4 and it’s because I’m in my late 40s

it just oozes that Saturday morning cartoons feeling (1980s). It has a lot of charm and it just makes me smile, even though it's a pain in the ass hard at times :)

Anyone else feel the same?

P.S. is a Crash Bandicoot 5 possible?

I think the story about the development of the original PS1 games is fantastic and pretty epic. From a campy 3D0 game to that franchise. Also Crash team racing is amazing. I felt 4 had enough of the soul of the game to be considered well above average, a shade below great.

Also just wanted to say 80's cartoons were the greatest of all time.

You have to be a masochist, OP. That game's shtick is to troll you all day every day, and it's not subtle bout it.
If you care for your sanity, don't try to 100% it.

But I gotta admit, the level design is pretty legit. It's just the requirements for 100% are crazy.

I've never played through the Crash games. I was fortunately blessed with an N64, so I got to play good platformers. But I've always wondered if they held up in their own special way in the modern era.

I play enough bullshit-stupid platformers, I really ought to give Crash an honest try.

Late 40s huh. Tell us about the war grandpa.
Also Crash 4 is frustrating and it should've been called Crash 4: Deathloop becuase you'll see "try again" more than your own reflection. Screw that game.

Game is great.. did all I could except the death relics and time trials.

The tape levels are the most difficult ones but even my 10 year son could do them.. so not THAT hard.

Have you talked with your physician about early onset dementia OP ?

I'm kidding of course it's great that it reminds you of good times. If a game gives you a smile, it's a AAAA in my book !

We're getting Bubsy 4D, anything is PAW-sible. But would a Crash Bandicoot 5 enjoy the budget of CB4? Unlikely.
It's speculated that Toys for Bob is working on a Spyro game after going independent. Maybe they'll tackle Crash next, but they'll have to do it alone because Beenox is slaving away in the COD mines.

Get on my level! *WOAH*
But no way in hell I'm 100%'ing the game. Even Crash freaks like Caddicarus think the difficulty is bull.

I was close to throwing my controller out the window several times, especially in the final level. The difficulty level is way too high if you just want to finish the game. I'd understand that for bonus levels and stuff like that, not when you're only trying to progress the story. I never had the same feeling when playing the trilogy.

I thought Crash 4 was decent, but it was a far cry from the OG 1st 3. If they make a Crash 5, they need to make it more like the first 3. 4 had the difficulty, but it was a cheap difficulty and not like the originals.

Crash 4 is probably the best platformer since Tropical Freeze

Amazing level design, controls feel great, powers are fun to use, and its an amazing sequel to the original trilogy.

And so much content. Game has meat.

Toys for Bob made something special with this game

Doubt they'll be a 5 anytime soon. The mistake they made was taking everyone's nostalgia sales with the Nsane trilogy, which led to not many people buying 4.
I still haven't got around to beating the first game on the trilogy. Started it over a few times.

This video may give some insights into what happens when Activision Blizzard gets a hold of an IP. There's a graveyard of wonderful games that have been left to wither under Activision. They are taking a page out of EA's approach to their legacy titles and how they handle companies they absorb.
