Each costume represents a color though. So Light Suit will give you white ZSS, Fusion Suit will give you yellow ZSS, something like that.
 
While Dark Pit would obviously be a clone of Pit, I think Dark Samus could be quite strongly differentiated from Samus. Aside from how they look, the two aren't remotely similar in terms of their capabilities and how their movesets would function.

Also, Echoes' Light Suit is factually the best Samus Suit, by far. Shit is slick.

I dunno. I like Other M Ridley. He's muscular at least. Which he was originally supposed to be.

I probably like Fusion's the most.

Overdeveloped arm and leg muscles, a tail that looks like it's made of K'nex, ridiculously oversized claws, random ass spikes jutting out of his body, distracting hexagonal pattern on his wings, and that fucking Woody Woodpecker mouth.

There aren't too many redsigns of long established video game characters that I hate as much as Other M's Ridley.
 
The PED suit is by far the lamest Power Suit design of forever.

To be far, that Ridley is a clusterfuck of DNA mashed together so him being disproportionate and awkward is actually understandable.
 
I am sure many of the crazed Punch Out!! fans like myself would prefer someone like King Hippo, Bald Bull, Soda Popinski or Super Macho Man over Little Mac. But overall, I would rather have Little Mac over no Punch Out!! representative. I will take what I can get. Sakurai ignoring Punch Out!! yet again after the Wii game sells a million copies in America alone would be disappointing...
 
Why would they use Other M's Ridley? Just use the design they had in Brawl with Meta/Omega Ridley as an alternate costume.

Edit: Besides, I just read on Wikitroid that Other M-Ridley was a clone. Is it true? Never played it.

This "clusterfuck of DNA" interpretation seems to be fanon and has no basis in the actual game. I don't think there's anything in Other M that states he's intended to be anything but Ridley reborn.

I'm a crazed Punch Out fan, but Little Mac is the only character from that game I believe should be playable. He represents that game. And he's the best boxer in the game.

Not for Smash they don't.(Wouldn't mind them so much if they played completely different from each other) I get disappointed Pigma isn't playable.
 
Wasn't Jiggs supposed to be something like the first Pokemon the protagonist/Ash ever caught originally?

Also, massive love to everyone saying that the Light Suit is Samus' slickest suit. If it weren't that, it'd be Prime 1's Phazon Suit easily.

It would be cool/interesting if that's the direction they take the series in the future. Dark Samus has an almost magical aura about her, while Samus is all grounded in tech. Maybe a mixture of the 2?

Techgic? Magichk? not sure how to mix the words tho...

Krystal hasn't appeared in a game since before Brawl was released and the series has since fallen by the way side, the only release since then being a remake of a game she isn't in. You want to talk about relevance? Star Fox isn't relevant anymore.

I hope for this SSB we get some more unexpected, but wanted characters. Something different, from lesser known Nintendo games. I'd love to see Professor Layton or Takamaru.
(Yeah, Layton's from L5, but his series is licensed by Nintendo)
 
Out of curiosity, would you guys still hate Krystal as much if it weren't for all the terrible fan art?

One good thing about her is I think she would have a fun gameplay style. That's all I can think of, but it's enough.

There is no question that Little Mac will be the Punch Out!! representative if the franchise gets a playable character. The main protagonist is always the first one to receive a spot on the roster, and Little Mac is deserving, but the other Punch Out!! characters would be far more interesting fighters in my opinion. I would also argue that characters like Bald Bull are the real symbols of the franchise. Regardless, Little Mac will be the Smasher if there happens to be one from the series.
 
Nintendo treats Starfox like it's a dead series, asking for new representatives? Ha, you should be happy if you manage to keep your three characters.

I really don't even know what you're arguing. What about Mewtwo?

And I never mentioned any other Nintendo franchise, so that has nothing to do with anything. F-Zero's not getting another character either, for instance. But how relevant or irrelevant shit like F-Zero is has no bearing on how relevant or irrelevant Star Fox is.

We were comparing Pokemon at the time of the release of SSB (very relevant) and Star Fox now (not even the least bit relevant). You know, you were using Jigglypuff as an example of why Krystal is likely?
