Whoa...I wonder what it is. Maybe some sort of huge publishing contract or expansion?

That is a good question, all I know right now is it has played hell with my schedule since I have live interview to conduct with the GOG at the exact same time.

So as I understand it GOG is holding a press event of some sort in LA this Friday.

Didn't they do a pre-E3 thing one or two E3s ago? I think it was to announce EA, then, but that had a big buildup, and this... hasn't, really. Probably good to not expect anything huge.

I have since been informed that thing is press and developer BBQ. They are going have the developers of such games as Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, The Witcher 3, Rise of the Triad 2013 and more talk to the press at this event.

Sounds like GoG co-ordinating a mini indie E3 press conference.

Oh hai Alyx

Cannon Fodder?
Sensi Soccer? (never played)
LSL collection?

Well, shit. There goes the neighbourhood.

yeah! Blade of Darkness alone at that price would make this promo great. I think I will also pick up Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 and maybe a Cannon Fodder as well.

I don't normally post my show stuff here on GAF, I figured this would be rather relevant to this thread. I and my show team conducted a 45 minute or so interview with the head of marketing and PR of GOG, one Trevor Longino. In this interview we discuss the origins of GOG, the no DRM policy, indie games on GOG and the submissions process, modern gaming on GOG, feelies and indeed the infamous PR stunt of 2.5 year ago and more are talked about. Indeed I am thankful for Trevor for taking the time out to do this interview and it was a rather enjoyable experience. I hope the other thread goers do enjoy this interview.

Nice, I'll listen when I get a chance. I already dropped the file on my MP3 player.

Really enjoyable so far.

I think it was more mundane server updates or something, and as such there had to be a down period.

The website was going to be coming out of Beta and yes downtime was going to be happening, so they decided to use it as a PR stunt for The Infinity Engine games and this was supposed to happen for 12 hours. Turns out a lot more bug testing was needed and that turned into three days and also a big clusterfuck.

Hmmm...what're the chances the new Guilty Gear Xrd will have a PC release? Could gog.com sell the game through them?

I passed on the Indie Royale with Richard and Alice so today's promo is tempting. Still, I have a feeling it'll repeat in some other bundle or on IndieGameStand.

If you bought UNEPIC on GOG you are eligible for a Steam key.

Step 1:

  • GOG - Go to Unepic in your library, click on the box art and below the installer you will find a key. This is not the Steam key; copy it and go to step 2.
