That looks great. I can imagine GAF will be taken down due to 5 million people posting this gif:

jKUCUKm.gif

Since they look kind of similar I'm imagining this with the guy who played Tesla in Sanctuary getting enthusiastic over something. :)

I also really, really want this...

...
so the team can get to work on Kingdom Hearts 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also very much want that, but this happens to be something that was teased/trailered/etc so much I need it first.

Don't know why people are disappointed at Destiny being given a live demo.

I think Destiny has a big chance of being the *next big thing* in online gaming. Do not rule out Bungie.

Especially after how utterly disappointing CoD: Ghosts is, people are going to be looking for something new instead of the same yearly iterations of CoD.

Sony was smart to partner with Bungie, and I'm extremely excited to see first gameplay demonstrations of their vision.

Destiny is a huge game for me, really looking forward to seeing it in action and I think it is a huge pick up.

What's wrong with you people? They are frequently ragging on the policy and clearly dislike it? Seriously, no wonder Brad and the crew take the piss out of Neogaf.

Nope, their attitude is more like, it's going to happen anyway so deal with it.
I remember when one of the guys said that he'd hoped that they'd up the 24h limit to 72h and it didn't sound like he was being sarcastic.

Looks like MS will be showing 20 games on stage (all Xbone?).

Sony had announced 40 games between PS3, PSV and PS4. You guys think at least 20 will be PS4 and match/surpass Xbone?

No definitely, I understand, I'd be the same way if KH3 had been given the same treatment.

I don't even want to think how Gaf will react if Versus isn't there in any shape or form.

They are games journalists (sp?) not fanboys, if necessary they will call things stupid when they think it's stupid but harping on shit isn't going to get them anywhere.

There's little to no value in them being as 'angry as us' so to speak, furthermore the internet is known to hype and whine the hell up over stuff. The reality is, if Microsoft announce some kind of game change feature or game - a SHITLOAD of angry people are still going to buy the console. Experienced people know this, smart people know this (Giant Bomb fits that category) if you've been through a console generation or two (or more, like they have) - shit like this happens every time. Company announce bad thing X, gamers cry out in vengeance. Company announces good thing Y, gamers forget.
They get this.

I really can't believe I'm defending Microsoft but apply some common sense here, twirling up a blogesque style frenzy of angry readers isn't going to help GB in the slightest.

They've expressed, displeasure at the DRM but there's no value for them as a business to just close up shop, post giant gif macros and scream like crazy. The reality is bang on, it's very unlikely the policy will change and it's very bad for them and their jobs and future in the industry if they behave incredibly poorly over it.

Quantity means very little, I would imagine.

Either way, I hope for and expect spectacular shows from both.

Don't worry about the numbers, both are hugely inflated and there will be a ton of games ust mentioned in passing. What really matters is the quality of the featured titles.

They could only show 10 games on PS4 or less than that even, but as long as they're GOOD - GREAT it won't matter.

Quality > Quantity

Yeah, MS loves the numbers. It's not long now.

I am sure Sony won't have 20 PS4 titles. But even one of their 20 is 360, and presumably Spartan Assault will be there.

Seems other people knew exactly what I was talking about and managed to respond, politely too. Your clever gif is pretty meaningless. Do try to keep up with the thread 007.

A confused reaction is perfect for a comment that appears to think that Final Fantasy games are all about CG and can't comprehend why someone is excited for a brand new game that sounds great.

Can I ask in all seriousness why you guys care about these heavy CGI games?
I really don't get it, I actually thought a huge portion of FF fanbasery was diminished in this past generation, now that in game graphics have significantly increased for games the graphic fidelity in the ingame cutscenes is largely 'good enough' (see: Mass Effect)

Are you guys just hardcore RPG fans? Do you like the storyline? Do you guys just really love high end CG? I mean I've seen a day and a half of people posting OMG OMG please more FF posts here and not a single screenshot 'wish for' post with a screenshot has been anything but CG. No talk of the apparent game attached to the CG at all.

I don't get it.

Because people have differing tastes.
Final Fantasy games will always be an event and bring hope until proven otherwise.
The games in question have shown enough to deserve the hype that they have been given, a change of pace from the typical formula and the pedigree behind them is enough to give them the chance and be hyped.
The art style and music direction is enough to get hyped to some, knowing that it is just the start.
Final Fantasy had some iffy bumps in the road with the Fabula Nova Crystallis line, but I will be honest they still looks fantastic and I still enjoyed my time with them.

Well guys, I'm off for the night. Need to get up for work at 4:45am. >_>

My shifts tomorrow morning are going to feel so long. But after that...E3 all day. Can't wait until tomorrow night.

Anyone know who I can twitter in order to get into the Sony Presser?

I got my confirmation for the XBone presser, i want to see if I can fandango my way into Sonys

I didn't call em out for not being angry, and by the way this has nothing to do with it being a MS policy. If Sony pulls this shit I hope the press is going to be in arms over this as well.
I expected more from Giantbomb in terms of overall coverage on this issue.
Well whatever.

Yeah, but is the disappointment coming from people previously tired of the franchise or is it focused on the gamers that still eagerly buy each new iteration for multiplayer? Because if it's from the former, then Destiny will have to to siphon off the CoD players. And iirc, Activision still has full teams devoted to CoD titles, so they might adapt to the innovations of Destiny within a few years.

I dont think people should read much into number of games on stage. When you think of it, Sony had 15 games for PSP shown on stage at one point. lol And they were all in one montage. I dont mean to say that MS wont have a lot of games, they probably will, its just that it depends on what they really will focus on, and that hardly means all of them will have a full demo or trailer. Just think about it. EA will probably come with all their sport games, and that is already god knows how much games gone in a single presentation. People should just enjoy the conferences and thats it. But I am sure it will not be like that. >_>

I explained quite clearly why I thought they are all about CG,... you know because most of the time people are focused on the CG trailers or the in engine trailers.....?

People then responded with some gameplay stuff, something I've noted over the last decade, is rarely posted when it comes to "OMG FF!" posts.
Regardless, the gameplay actually did look pretty good.

I'm serious here, what are they supposed to do? Patrick is railing on them in the news section, the video they basically say 'this is fucked' but they are waiting for it to be crystal clear, precisely what the DRM is before they weigh in

Furthermore, there's no Sony info yet, it's wise to wait before weighing in on the topic. They can't just go hit twitter and @Sony @Microsoft YOU GUYS ARE DUMB LOL
This is their actual job here.

I hope they do the apple thing and are like Bam the Release date is less than a month away. It is coming out next week or 2.

Ask him for a pic of himself holding a piece of paper with his username. If it's him, he'll do it.

Anyway it's 3am here and i'm up for work at 9, and a LONG day tomorrow. Try not to let the hype consume you folks
