That's a great trailer, although didn't like some of the voice overs but I can deal with that.

In the SE Presents Live they already showed some of the Ifrit fights from the show floor, looks so good.

I hate to be negative about this trailer since I've been quite happy with the beta so far, but jesus christ the voice acting was atrocious in that video.

Wouldn't have hurt to have a shortened (1-2 min) trailer for the Sony press conference, if only to watch NeoGAF throw another mini tantrum.

Has there been any information on if account information will transfer from PS3, to PS4. If so as long as I can buy the game digitally I may buy it on PS3 while i wait for the PS4 launch.

Do you think that this game will suffer from "PS3 limitations" down the road?

Already confirmed that a DirectX11 client with higher resolution textures is coming after release (the PS4 version will probably be based on this). They have said they intend to keep updating the graphics for years.

No idea if battle content will be limited though.

You can play your character on all 3 versions for one sub fee. You will almost certainly have to buy a copy of each though.

This trailer hyped me way more than XV trailer.

Beta 3 can't come soon enough.

Edit: Dragoon uses Cloud sword in his Limit Break and is a version of Omnilash. Best job confirmed:

I love the new Ifrit fight but someone tell the players down there to kill the hellspikes asap. Otherwise, Ifrit's Hellfire will be full strength and wipe you.

It already is suffering from PS3 limitations. In the beta forums they posted a feedback list with changes for the beta phase 3, and these were some of their answers:

"We are continuing to look into this, but due to issues because of PS3 icon display memory as well as gamepad mode control user friendliness this is extremely difficult."

"Since there is too much information being displayed for the PS3 version, we don't plan on adding this as-is, but we will continue to look into it."

Although at least the PC is the lead platform, so there's hope that changes in the future will be implemented regardless of the PS3 version.

Not nearly as much as FFXI did at minimum. They have already mentioned one piece of the game that won't make it in due to squeezing the RAM on the PS3 (No immediately accessible in game encyclopedia/database) but they also said they didn't want to blame the PS3 specifically because they also wanted a minimum spec around there anyways for the PC. The actual database can be found on the main site, and since they are adding the option for user created add-ons down the line, I'm sure someone will make a 3rd party database to have in game on the PC. They have already confirmed a Directx11 version is on the way and will be available after launch (probably in time for the PS4 launch in 2014) which alone means PC is getting things the PS3 version won't, something they fought tooth and nail with on FFXI; and until semi recently, still fought.

It may hinder the landscape size or geometry, but other than that, I expect them to just run it a lower resolution/fps with less texturing and shaders compared to the PC/PS4 versions.

This is the only info about it:

The PS4 version will be cross platform. Data transfers from PS3 to PS4. Working with Sony for a smooth transition.

As of beta phase 3, the PS3 version is already hindering inventory management.

"Crystal demise" sounds like a threat wider than Eorzea. Notice how in the trailer the giant crystal is surrounded by a bunch of small crystals? I should count to see if there are 14 or 15 of them.

EDIT: I dislike the Dragoon's limit break a lot.

EDIT: This game has enough FF7 references (or perhaps references, period).

YoshiP looks much more comfortable in front of a mic than Nomura.

Yoshida wants this game to be filled with fan service but at the same time, to have its own identity via the story and gameplay.

From the sounds of it, there might be some sort of option for devs to bypass the PS+ requirement for online play on PS4 in some circumstances? Yoshi-p said that they're still talking about whether or not you'll need it for FF14 on PS4.

Not so sure about that. I mean we already have things like "companions" making the game look like a merchandise store and they don't plan on letting us turn them invisible.
