I believed it's in OP

Anyone have that picture of when link deflects one of MM's blades with his shield?

Or hell, a GIF of it, even?

I have GIF which is in OP as well.

If you choose to believe he is , i guess.

Honestly I do not think people would care if marth was replaced with "marth".

It would just have happened, people would understand why it happened and no one would care.

" why did they replace marth"

" advertising"

" oh that makes sense , and he plays the same so "

That's because he actually is the face of the series? Why would he get replaced with the other if that one can just be an alt costume? That makes no sense.

I don't think they're dropping Marth after 2 games guys...

Yeah. He's been the main character for four mainline Fire Emblem games. Sure, most of those are remakes, but they account for both the earliest and some of the most recent games in the series. He is bar none the most iconic Fire Emblem lord of the whole set.

He is also one of the most iconic Super Smash Bros. characters, up there with Captain Falcon. The fan community has really embraced him, and piled on the memes for the character. It would be a shame to see him go.

I hope Roy stays gone, though. He is one of the least interesting Fire Emblem lords from a game that is heavily overshadowed by its prequel. Ike had a much better moveset that stole most of what made Roy's gameplay interesting and added a more unique spin to it. For that matter, Roy's fighting style in Melee wasn't even representative of how Fire Emblem Roy fought. In his own game, he had a fairly distinct fighting style compared to some other lords that got lost in transition.

There are much better Fire Emblem characters to choose from than Roy.

Question: In that new design for Roy, he has two swords. Does that play a role in anything. Because if he were to come back, with that, i'm sure he definitely wouldn't be a clone one bit.

I think it's apparent the Smash Bros. team at least likes Zero Suit Samus, they did draw her on that whiteboard a year or two ago after all.

I think I may main completely female characters if Palutena, Lucina, ZSS are in, on top of Wii Fit Trainer.

Waiting for a Micaiah Miracle.

Ugh, replacing Ike with anyone would be a huge mistake. Roy was expendable, Ike isn't. You can't replicate his hard-hitting play style with any other character. Part of the reason him and Marth were the best choices for FE characters is how distinct they are despite both being swordsmen.

Be interesting to see how many things they borrow from battle royale, already seen they copied the outline style of characters (ps3 didnt, but vita did)

EDIT:
Found another!

I'm really excited for the new 3 so far. Wii Trainer looks hilarious, Megaman looks like he plays great, and the villager... o_o
i'm hyped!

Eh....

Why would *marth* be the alternate, why wouldn't marth be the alternate. The former is more important right now.

Also the latter as alternate would be easy to make, wouldn't even have to record new lines.

I do not see a logical reason not to have * marth * in the game.

Don't know about FE: A since I haven't played it yet, but Roy in his own game never used two swords. I think that was just an aesthetic choice. If Chrom or Ike end up in the game Roy could easily become one of their alt costumes if they decide to go that way. He'd fit well as Ike's alt.

Um no? The fact was that at that point Ike was still the currently lord of the last two recent FE games and that Marth was always the first lord and the most recognizable to fans of the series? Also Ike in Brawl plays nothing like how he does in PoR or RD. He was always one of the fastest and lightest units IIRC, they just made him slow and heavy because of his sword. It made no sense to be honest.

How in the hell is a character from a recently released game more important than the character that actually started the series? Besides the fact that he fucking started the entire thing? Has been in more games where he actually plays a role in the story more than any other Fire Emblem lord to date? Is actually an important character rather than this other one who was JUST introduced? Are you seriously asking why the real Marth isn't as important as the other one? Really.

I'm just watching the developer vid right now. Man it looks great in motion already. and Villager is looking great. Dude can catch projectiles lol

And Dat Mega Upper, awww yiss.

I literally squealed when I saw Mega Man this morning. He is the one 3rd party character I really wanted in this. Now put Pac-Man in it and bring back Sonic and we're set.

I like the outline look of the 3DS version. It makes it look like a cartoon.

This game look awesome so far and I can't wait for Japan Time updates for the next 2 years until it's released.

I knew that was a Fire Emblem stage. I want Tharja in this!

I never played Wii Fit, so this is my first time seeing the trainer. She's kinda sexy.

Hey guys, the E3 press kit had super-high-res PNGs of Mega Man and Villager, but did they ever release a super-high-res PNG of Wii Fit Trainer? I found a fairly high-res JPEG of her, but I'd like a PNG, if possible.

yasss in brawl my three mains were ZSS, Zelda, and Peach. I'm pretty sure I'll be maining them again alongside WFT and Palutena in these.

I honestly hate being this hyped for a game...I am just confused, are the trailers I'm getting hyped for the Wii U version, 3DS, or both? Because I only have a 3ds with no intent on buying a Wii U

Man that gif is so awesome, Mario is like, " Shhiiitttt! The bastard is tryna kill me!"
I really don't like the look of Link in this at all. Doesn't look like Link imo.
Its just link. I think Nintendo agrees TP link is the general model of modern link. When the first smash and melee came out no one was wondering "what link is that!?" I knew damn well they would not choose skyward sword link because how would ganondorf look in the game? lol.

He he he he he he... megaman...

anyways.. all i am saying is

You start out with *marth* you unlock marth.

That is it. alternate costume with a voice.

Like mario could have dr.mario outfit with pills instead of fire.

That is all I am saying.

Looks awesome.
But didnt Saurai specifically say he didnt just want to redo another brawl with some new characters and stages?
Kinda seems like that...
Not complaining though

Here's something that confuses me:

The CG bit in the trailer with Villager checking his mail. The model is clearly pre-New Leaf (short legs), but there are two very clear signs that he is living in a New Leaf-era town:

1) Tom Nook has donned the green sweater that he only wears in New Leaf in his new post as a realtor. He is wearing it in the Smash trailer.

2) Isabelle is seen, not only in the trailer, but also in Villager's "newcomer art" on his page.

And the new Animal Crossing stage shown in the Wii U version has Nook's Cranny, Able Sisters, and the Museum all right there in the town, as well as a city square from AC City Folk. So, clearly, the stage in the Wii U version is taken from City Folk.

But will there be a New Leaf-ish stage in the 3DS version complete with Re-Tail and a Main Street, carrying on the idea that the stages in each version will reflect the games on either handhelds or consoles?

Or has there just been a mish mash of AC stuff?

He he he he he he... megaman...

What does Megaman have to do with this?

Also, still makes no sense in making the character who started the entire franchise an alt and the other the "main". It's just nonsense. They could easily do the opposite which wouldn't surprise me at all if it happened.

Where are people getting Tharja from? I've played Awakening and she's not exactly a main character or even a very prominent one. You can go through the whole game and never recruit her. I doubt she has a snowball's chance of being in.

It'd be interesting to play as a mage, though

No, it's just Roy drawn to look in the "Mercenary" class outfit for Awakening (no one uses 2 swords at once in the game).

I hope Roy stays far away from this game. Maybe as a costume or something , but thats it.
