Sakurai mentioned a long time ago that he wanted to shake up the Smash formula and do more than just add new stages and characters to the game. People then freaked out over whether this meant no new characters would show up...which if it wasn't obvious before it's definitely obvious now. I'm sure there is something new to the game given his enthusiasm to do more with the formula.

I'm happy to say that The Princess of Fitness is my favorite thing from this E3. She represents all the WTF that we were hoping to get from Nintendo, and seeing all the salty tears from all over the web is exactly the kind of stuff that keeps me coming back.

lmao, I looked at the reveal thread for her on Smashboards, people were raging so hard, it's even worse than with ROB in some way. Meanwhile, us in the Brawl BR are totally hype about her. Well at least those of us who have been talking about SSB4.

Thread Subscribed, sorta hyped over this. Glad to see Megaman in and intrigued at Wii fit trainer. The Villager seems interesting as well and the content coming from his reveal makes it all worthwhile.

I've seen the Mega Man trailer over a dozen times. I'm hoping we see more soon. I'm assuming we're going to see Pac-Man and Sonic as the other third party characters. I'd like to see some surprises though.
I was disappointed at first (Mega Man is cool, but wanted more characters), and then Wii Fit Trainer happened! PLEASE HOLD ME DOWN.
So ignoring Wii Fit Trainer, only Akibastman and Tyeforce predicted both Villager and Mega Man.
I now kinda feel obliged to choose the default villager in New Leaf
Also absolutely loving the "villager is psychopath" angle, makes me actually like him <3
Edit: Oh and Villager getting Balloon Fighter references kills my hopes for Tingle :<

I'm so happy that the AC villager is in. Animal Crossing is my life now. All I need is Rosalina to join (as well as her participation in Mario Kart 8), and I'm all set.
Haha. I'll have to check that. Never understood why people rage at character reveals. The whole "waste of a slot" thing is just so dumb. It's not like WFT's announcement specifically means the character you want isn't also in.

Yeah. And especially considering that Wii Fit sold more units than just about any other video game should be enough reason to warrant her inclusion.
People are saying that ROB and G&W as WTF characters are rational because they represent Nintendo's history, but for some reason, Trainer ain't haha.
Yup, haven't been really actively playing/hosting Brawl for quite a while, though. I've been helping a lot with organisation and such (particularly the MU charts), but I've been thinking of stepping down.
I'm not sure if I'll be joining in on the competitive scene for SSB4 either.
The newcomers are fun, but I'm also pumped about what they've done to my man Bowser.

First of all, he stands upright now. Second, he can RUN! In Melee and Brawl, he sort of hunkered over and trundled forward, like a tank or something, but now he has a prim and proper IMMA GUNNA GITCHA rushdown. All of his attacks seem to pop out quicker, too. Is this a new age for the King of Koopas?

Toon Link was one of my mains. Hard to see him be replaced, but I guess it's Link #2's turn to be the young Link of Smash.
These are very cool! Only minor complaint is the black one has some blue left overs.
