Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Yes it is!

My waifu at least comes from a not-dead franchise.

people who don't like WFT are the kind of people I don't like

also Toad > Daisy. We need the whole Super Mario Bros. 2/3D World squad in here

They should remove Wii Fit Trainer and apologize.

Then they should replace her with someone more deserving who ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE in a fighting game, like Ryu. SF2 was on the SNES and Mega Man is in there so he's the obvious choice. As GOTY 2013 Project X Zone proved, you can't have Ryu without Ken, so Ken should also be in there. And you need female representation because someone made them get rid of Wii Fit Trainer so they should add Chun-Li. Then for balance you need to add Dhalsim, Sagat, Blanka, M. Bison, Balrog, Vega, and Guile, otherwise Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li would be too powerful for everyone else.

Then Mario and Link are going to start looking weird in comparison to the rest of the cast so you need to remove them, any animal fighters (though they could be redesigned to look like Blanka), any kids, etc. Then we'll finally have Smash Bros. be a real, serious fighting game made for tournaments and people will stop laughing at me when I suggest it for the main stage at Evo.

this is too good

Eurogamer's article is actually the only source indicating 1080p for Smash Bros. but I still haven't been able to get any evidence of this. Did they really say that?

Well Punch-Out has the "World Video Boxing Association", but it's not too much of a stretch to speculate they rebranded it to a Smash Bros Boxing Association for this world.

I don't think they've ever rebranded things in stages like that before though. You don't see Smash Bros logos in the Arena Ferox stage (or the Pokemon Stadiums from the previous games).

Microsoft tries to shoehorn Kinect into a proper game = GAF gets mad.
Nintendo tries to shoehorn Wii Fit board into a proper game = GAF rejoices.

This is possibly the stupidest post I've ever read on GAF, thanks.

Adding a digital re-creation of the Balance Board into a fight game is NOT the same as adding actual balance board support to the game (which is what Microsoft is doing by adding Kinect support to games). I can't believe that needs to be explained.

Doesn't the Game & Watch in the Game & Watch stage in Melee have "Super Smash Bros." engraved on the console?

Had anyone IDed this 3DS level yet? It at least isn't listed in the OP.

Is there anything like this in DKC returns? Does anyone recognize the symbol on the wheel?

I'm guessing that we can infer that it is from a mostly portable-based franchise.

Dunno if anyone's said this yet, but it could very well be from the Tropical Freeze, announced yesterday. It has a very DKCR feel, but I could definitely see this being from some of the more "viking-esque" assets that are coming out of that game. And it doesn't have to be a 3DS game to become a 3DS level. I'm sure there are levels that will be shared across both platforms.

The Wii Fit girl complaints make it pretty easy to identity people who don't like surprises/excitement/fun.

The 3DS levels by nature (including that one) look smaller in scale, though. There's no way a Tropical Freeze level spanning both games wouldn't be more ambitious.

Has it been confirmed that the two character rosters will be the same or will they just have the same number of characters? WFT is going to make my body ready.

I'm confident both versions will have the same roster. A lot of work goes into a single character (especially in Smash Bros.) -- creating console exclusives would be a complete waste of time and resources. That's probably why Sakurai went with exclusive stages instead. There's something unique for both versions, but it's not nearly as drastic as exclusive characters.

I always assumed there would be console specific characters that would unlock in the other version if you connected your Wii U and 3DS, kind of like a 2-way Pokemon Stadium.

I'm still concerned about same thing.

I wish I can be that confident with at that statement as you do.
