Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

My only problem with her (and Villager) are their names. I don't like the generic names.

Be cool if for Wii Fit Trainer they named her something, like "Angela" or something, and Villager "Johnny" (Villager is a cool Axe Murderer name though)

Well, but that wouldn't be a representation of those games, though. The Wii Fit Trainer's name isn't Angela, it's Trainer, and the Villager's name isn't Johnny - as a matter of fact, the Villager is supposed to be you, and not everyone's name is Johnny. :P
Just like Mr. Game & Watch isn't an actual character but an amalgam of all the Game & Watch games. There never was a Mr. Game & Watch until Smash Bros. Melee.

My only issue with Trainer's name is that it's a bit clunky. If Pokemon Trainer comes back, there'll be a bit of a problem with calling either "Trainer", and I'm not a big fan of shorthands and WFT is quite close to WTF, typos are bound to happen lol.

I dunno how I would've named her, perhaps just Wii Trainer.

You know, there's a Spanish Dojo too :/

Holy shit I think you just called his Final Smash. That would be great.

A tree appears. Villager shakes it. Bee hive drops out. He runs wildly round the screen, the hail of bees swarming him and other players.

Monster Hunter's staff apparently didn't want MH characters in Marvel vs Capcom, so I don't think we'll see them here either.

Well that's a shame. It might just be enough for more people to check Monster Hunter out, like Marth and Fire Emblem and Ness and Earthbound.

Don't know if this has been made yet, but with every new Smash people make model characters comparisons.

Here's mine:
I like 4's art style. It's cleaner and brighter and it looks like it focuses on primary colours more.

I can deal with losing some textures here and there if the game looks nicer as a result.

The gameplay still looks a bit slow to be honest. If it still has tripping, then the game is worthless. Really hope they address that.

Well, I doubt Nintendo would buy the license to use Monster Hunter content just to have it in as trophy or something. And if they did, they wouldn't do it to promote Capcom's games, they would do it to bring in new sales.

That's why Mega Man is such a safe, obvious choice to almost everyone. He'll be someone who's going to draw in a big crowd, much like Sonic did for Brawl.

The next Capcom franchise in line would probably be Street Fighter (since Resident Evil and Devil May Cry are probably way too grim for Smash).

Everyone knows the Namco rep will be the ship (Solvalou) from Xevious. One of the first NES Classics for the GBA and one of the first 3D Classics for the 3DS. It's the go to Namco game for Nintendo.

Actually, one of the Konami characters I'd really love them to put into the series at some point is Vic Viper, the ship from Gradius. That would be so cool lol.

Ms. Motivator.

Genius.

OMG IT'S NOT EXACTLY LIKE MELEE TOTALLY GARBAGE

That's fantastic. The art-style change between Brawl and 4 is clear, but the graphics don't look to have taken as much of a leap.

Hey, at least I didn't say Haruka from iDOLM@STER like I usually do.

Holy shit. If they put her into Smash I would literally laugh until I died.

The idea about Chrom and Lucina being one character with a pair-up gimmick is genius. It fits perfectly and is too good not to implement. I still think their color scheme and outfits are too close to Marth, but I'm sure they will make them visually distinctive in some fashion.

I know a lot of people are clamoring for third party characters, but I honestly don't want to see too many of them in. We will get Mega Man, Pac Man, and Sonic for sure, but I wouldn't mind them stopping there. There are a lot of untapped Nintendo characters they could implement. I think Takamaru is getting in, considering his game (Mystery of Murasame Castle) was featured in Nintendo land. He was also a sticker in Brawl. They could use his Captain Rainbow design.

I think you can fit in DMC, just tone down the blood and emphasize the ham. But it's never appeared on a Nintendo console so it doesn't really count (No, the Viewtiful Joe cameo doesn't count).

How I would like to see the pokemon reps shake out:

Pikachu and Jiggs in as Gen 1 reps and og smashers
Mewtwo's new form as Gen 6 rep
Pokemon trainer with pokemon from different gens and the trainer based on the odd gen out. (So say his team is based on Mudkip/Bayleef/Infernape, the trainer would be the first Gen 5 model)

I know they won't do that, but I'd like it.

I don't think so. Atlus doesn't have any characters that would make people jump out and buy this game.

The Persona characters (particularly Persona 4) would be the best they've got. Jack Frost too. But yeah, they still aren't that popular.

Way to freak out about an opinion and not counter any of my points. Tripping would ruin the entire game with an unnecessary random element that completely takes away from the gameplay.

I never disagreed about tripping, did I?
I disagreed about "I think the 2 minutes worth of gameplay I've seen make it seem too slow, so it's a worthless piece of shit", as you implied.

And you make it sound like your post was well thought out and had any points to begin with.

You didn't say that, you made a shitty caps lock response.

Nor did I say what you accuse me of saying. I said it's worthless if tripping is still in. That's not speed.

Edit: I see you edited your post now. Lol. You're crazy.

Also, I've seen like 10 minutes of combined gameplay, and thats irrelevant because you dont that need more than 10 seconds to identify how a Smash Bros. game is played.

Reading the posts here, the only possible character from Atlus that might get it is Jack Frost. Really fits the 'mascot' character in game. But then again, which characters can we put in that comes from a game in a Nintendo hardware? Theres the Devil Survivor MC, the Samurai perhaps? Or maybe go for broke for a character from SMTI&II. Theres also Etrian Odyssey but would most likely be too obscure.

Speaking of Namco and Idolmaster, Makoto/Iori or bust!

Yeah, I am crazy, I'm not debating that.

Maybe you're just a game-mentalist who can judge a game's speed from a showcase match and like 30 seconds of gameplay footage in the trailer, who am I to know.

I'm just really fucking tired of militant Melee assholes shitting everywhere they can when it comes to Smash. Granted, I don't know if you are a militant Melee asshole who attempted to shit at SSB4 without even seeing a full and proper match of the game, but the "it still looks too slow" statement seems a lot like something a militant Melee asshole would say.

I'm hardly a militant Melee asshole considering I haven't played Melee in years (though I like Project M on Brawl a LOT)

Even if I was, lol opinions, get over it I guess.

I'm still quite excited for this game.

You guys are weird. If there's going to be an Atlus character, it needs to be someone that has appeared in a Nintendo platform. Someone that is memorable enough.

I know one that has appeared not once, not once, but three times in a Nintendo platform. He's memorable, iconic, out of the left field, and even has a fanmade theme song.

Of course I'm talking about Etrian Odyssey's FOE a.k.a. Fucking Overpowered Enemy

Edit: goddamit top of page

I'd cream myself for an Atlus character. Anything would be fine

Aegis would be cool, especially when Persona 3DS inevitably hits

You misspelled best.

How could anyone think shes worse than Wolf or Lucario?

Whoa. Let's not say things we can't take back.

Worst characters ever were Pichu and Dr. Mario like said up thread. Princess of Fitness, however, is probably the best newcomer ever: totally out of left field, and a sign that literally ANY Nintendo character can be made to work in Smash.

I never owned Wii Fit, but was the Trainer dubbed in any languages?

You mean the trainer's voiceover in Wii Fit itself? Yes, she was.

Finding out Wolf was the last Smash character to be revealed was a huge kick in the nads.

Don't care for Pokemon, so I can't say anything about Lucario (although I enjoyed playing him in Brawl), but I thought Wolf was a really great addition to the roster, and he almost made up for the lack of Ridley for me.
