Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Pit's probably my favorite looking Veteran.

He looks a lot cooler than Brawl's which was a bit dorky.

I have Brawl and Melee. But my friends only ever want to play melee. So I'm afraid to get hyped for this because it may end up like brawl. Unplayed :(.

My friends will only play the 64 version :(

Oh and in terms of game quality... X > Legends > Zero > Classic > ZX > EXE > SF
In terms of main character design... Command Mission X > Trigger > Zero-series Zero > X > Model X > MegaMan > Megaman.EXE >>>>>>>> SF Megaman

Why would you sadface? 64 is a great game. It's floaty like Brawl but you have awesome fastfalling speeds, shields are able to be broken often because of insane shieldstun, and combos are fun as balls and anyone can do them!

Why do I find the Wii Fit trainer...so hot? Maybe it's because she's so athletic. All dat bending and stretching.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME

Based on the footage so far, how does this compare to Melee and Brawl? I know there is a huge debate out between SSB in terms of which entry has been the best but I can't seem to tell if this plays more like one than the other. Can it be they found a good balance between both games? To me it does seem a bit quicker but still a little floaty.

I think it would be totally awesome if the new Kid Icarus stage had Viridi and Palutena (even if she's a playable character) and other KI characters having playful banter while you fight, sorta like on the Corneria and Shadow Moses stages having characters say different things.

*Pit gets knocked out*

Hades: Nice one Pitty!

Yeah, I can totally see this.

I think it's very likely given the Smash Taunts for the SF and MGS stages. Plus, in Japanese Viridi is voiced by the same gal who does Ness and Kirby (and Lyn in Brawl), so I can see Sakurai and his team going "Hmm, we've already got her here recording some lines, let's have her do some Viridi and do some Smash taunts for a KI stage."

Does Wii fit trainer hit people with the Wii fit board.

Nope. Wii Fit Board appears as a background character on the Wii Fit stage, and given Sakurai's policy of no doubles*, that means it won't appear as an (assist) character / move / item.

*Some would argue 75m can enable two Donkey Kongs, but as far as Nintendo is concerned, that Kong is Cranky.

Oh my god, yes yes yes.

I need more Pyrrhon and Hades banter.

It's definitely more based on the Brawl engine. Beyond that, I don't think they've touched much of the engine atm. There's still notable unpolished things in the videos and it looks... really strange to me. The fact the Brawl air dodge is there worries me.

To me, so far it seems like it's in between melee and brawl's speed with more hitstun and NO TRIPPING. I'm ok with this so far.

The main problem with Brawl was the defensive abilities were so good and the offensive was nerved into the ground. Part of that was because of the slower speed, but another big factor was how you could cancel hitstun so quickly with the air dodge, rendering it completely irrelevant.

So you have online matches with guys standing completely still, waiting for you to go on the offense so they could counter with their overpowered defense.

The trailers still showcase this problem, at least to my eye.

He usually doesn't follow his own rules when he rethinks about them. If now he wants to have a double (for example stage and assist) he will put it.

1) I do not even think it terms of a game, you can put exe on the list with the rest of them for multiple reasons.

2) Character design zx and advent is above all else because ninja's

Agree. It honestly gets rather annoying because it makes the matches last 2-4x longer. It's like an endless footsie match with not much reward, and I usually put the stock at like 2 instead of 4 like I do Melee specifically cause of how long the matches get.

People can't automatically assume that Little Mac is a playable character because his stage is in. Animal Crossing had a stage in Brawl without a character.

That being said, I think it's pretty likely that he will be a character.
If he does end up being in, I'm more excited about what this could mean as far an another Punch-Out!! installment. That franchise would be a perfect match for the 3DS. Hell, I would even be happy with the Wii game on 3DS.

I just wanted to show my support for Snake. It always bums me the amount of people who just want to throw him on the guillotine. He's the character that got me into Smash. Playing melee all I had at my disposle was DK....and I wasn't even good at him. Snake was the best ground to teach me smash and go back to melee and still be good at the game. Also I think he still has enough Nintendo connection and popularity to be a good fit for smash. Not to mention his left field status which is a good thing. He's a character that non Nintendo fans can play and then move onto the rest. That also goes vice versa. I know plenty of people who got into metal gear because of his inclusion in smash.

So I'm just saying I think its petty to hate on the character for not fitting into your idea of Nintendo history. He has his place and benefits being on the roster.

Also if he isn't making it to the new smash. I hope his move set isn't dropped. Said before it'll be a good fit for a advanced wars character

Fake Edit: I am so hyped for Wii Fit Trainer. Absolutely amazing addition to the roster.

Would rather have a new Punch-Out!! on Wii U. The game using the Balance Board was a great surprise, and it worked rather well. I'm not sure if we'll see other actual core games utilize the board and it would be a waste to have Punch-Out!! miss that chance now that Wii Fit U is coming.

Right on the money right here.

All defensive options were infinitely better than the offense. Shields, spotdodges, air dodges... well, rolling was still pretty situational but the main big three (spotdodges, shielding, and air dodges) were hugely advantageous. Really really bad for the game, imo. Melee actually had the right balance, you could still play defensively but it wasn't always better than offense. Look at high level matches from the past year; there's a variety in both defense and offense going on.

I hope it changes but I have my sincere low expectations. If Smash 4 fails to be good on a competitive level (or hell, even casual level) we still have Project M. :P

The Villager is my favorite of the new comers, he is so damn smug and doesn't give a shit. Just hitting people in the head with potted plants and smacking them with his net. I love it!

Wii Fit Trainer is also hilarious.

I didn't think an AC character would work, but his mischievous eyes have convinced me

Also I think he might be a serial killer. :O

The Zelda series always has an awkward time getting good characters. I guess it doesn't help there's only really 3 consistent characters through the games' story.

Sheik worked very well. Young Link was awful. Toon Link was a decent idea but could have been a lot better (used more Wind Waker specific abilities). I doubt he comes back. Ganondorf is like a tragedy in Smash history. A character that has earned his place in the game and he keeps getting stuck without unique moves...
