No new character revealed today? ;_; Is there still hope?

Man... I just rewatched the Brawl trailer in 2006 to see how many characters they revealed off the bat.

We had FIVE new characters shown off at once. Meta Knight, Pit, ZSS, Wario, Snake. That trailer was just the most mindblowing thing ever.

On the other hand, we didn't get like, any new news about it for like another year. So, maybe we'll get news sooner this time?

I could see the other three characters (assuming the rumor is true) being revealed sometime later this week, for like an E3 wrap up video.
 
only disappointment of smash wii u so far would be Link's model. SS link > TP link. Even ALTTP or LA Link is better than TP link.

Except Smash Link isn't TP Link. Smash Link is inspired by TP Link, but Smash Link shits all over TP Link. I prefer Smash Link over any Link in the entire Zelda series (where he is an adult).
 
The way MegaMan dashes near the end of that gif reminds me of Marth. Can't stop watching it. So Good.

Honestly, I think Link, especially Older Link, has always looked a bit weird head on.

Yeah I remember that. Never played it since as a kid I never had Xbox. What I did have was Shrek Extra Large for Gamecube. God it was terrible. Lighting your farts on fire in a game is only fun for 5 minutes, then you realize how terrible of a game it was.

That gif doesn't really demonstrate higher hitstun at all (or combos). When Megaman hits Mario after the uppercut, Mario has gone well past the hitstun animation. He's in the tumble state, which is completely interruptible with a jump, attack, or air dodge. Mario could have easily gotten out of that second hit. There's no way they made it that long.

To clarify, the hitstun state is the animation after just getting hit but before you start falling down on your own. It's during the moment you're sent flying. In fact, looking at the gif more in-depth hitstun barely looks any higher at all... but hey if you can't air dodge cancel it out in the final game then it'll be fine that way.

That said, the friction of Megaman's movement is interesting there... but I'm sure that's more of a remnant from Brawl than anything to write home about. I'm sure the engine isn't completely done, just done enough to be playable. Still, if that winds up staying in I guess it's cool.
 
I need a gif of the Villager planting a seedling, watering it, the tree growing, then the Villager chopping it down from the Developer Direct video. That was hot shit.

It would be cool if this game had proper alt costumes for certain characters instead of recolors. Then we could all have any Link we want.
