Although the trailer doesn't look nearly as good as the first one, Xerxes, Lena Headey, Eva Green, and the blast I had watching the first one in theaters will prompt me to watch this one.

Sorry, but this looks like a complete train-wreck and it saddens me to see the luscious Eva attached to this PoS.
I just don't understand the reason for this existing, the main draw of the first movie (Gerard Butler and co) are absent and the new characters pale in comparison toGerard's almost magnetic screen presence.

Looks like a B-movie.
I have to say that I liked it. I'm a huge fan of the original film 300 and given that most of the talent involved with the original are involved with this in some capacity I'm onboard.
Though sizeable delays in release are never good March has been a successful release slot for WB in the past and I wonder if the studio perhaps wanted to get out of the way of Elysium.

True but IIRC the director has a long history of doing commercials and (again IIRC) he directed the HALO commercial/promo that had the Spartans with jetpacks. I don't remember what game that was but I imagine it that was CV that got him the gig.

The main dude in this movie is Themistokles. Or cles. However you wish to spell it.
Funny thing she sometimes has great eyes but man I do not think she can act a lick. Eva Green that is. Best acting I've seen her do is Dark Shadows when she had to do outlandish expressions with large arm tosses.
Otherwise overrated imo.
Gawd that 300 trailer was utter trash.
I really like Sullivan Stapleton in Strike Back, man that Aussie can curse up a storm like no ones business, glad he is getting paycheck for this to bad it looks like it will be bad movie. how many ramming ships did we see? Now Xerxes fights with large swinging axes....

Yeah, I agree with you, should have specified that I watched the trailer for Eva Green just because I find her amazingly attractive, certainly not for her acting skills (or lack thereof).
Not that Headey has great acting skills either (in my opinion).

Am I the only person who thinks Lena Headey isn't a very good actress? I don't know why, just seems so emotionless. Maybe I can just never get over her being in that piece of shit Terminator TV series.
How high is the budget? First thing I thought of was that this looked like an unnecessary 300 with a low budget.
