Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

If he's just an ex-Nintendo employee, I'd say just an interview with Sakuraaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiii. With the Villager as a special guest, watching from behind. Waiting. Learning.

He's gonna announce Isa Jo as an... assist trophy.

...........;____;

Noooo. :(

I've basically accepted a Sin & Punishment character is probably never happening :(. A Sin & Punishment level would be amazing though. Imagine going through the Air Carrier level from the original. Certain parts could work as is with only minor tweaks.

Sakurai's a cat person. Probably anticipating the NSFW fan art of 3D World.

It's a conspiracy between Koizumi and Sakurai.
Koizumi has the hots for Wii Fit Trainer and Sakurai's a closet furry... so they made a deal with each other so no one would ever find them out. If they include each other's fetish in the other's game, the internet would take care of the rest.

Now Sakurai can say, "Eew, no, I'm not into Wii Fit Trainer!"
And Koizumi can say, "Oh goodness, no - I'm not a furry!"

Layton confirmed

Well I guess we can all

There will be a single player [campaign], but it won't be like the [Subspace Emissary] mode in Brawl. One thing we can do with the Smash Bros. series that's unique to us — because we have all these different disparate characters brought together — is we can create that sort of fan-movie experience as a special gift. But now those things are posted on the internet, it doesn't really become a gift for people who played the game.

What we decided this time around, we're just going to have [those movies unlocked] from the beginning. We're going to have a movie for Wii Fit Trainer, The Villager and Mega Man and they'll be viewable right at the beginning, you can watch those right away.

Big Surprise to me is Smash Bros will have a Beta before years end lol

HA, has Nintendo ever done a beta?

What the hell kind of reason is that for a (maybe) gimped single player campaign? Subspace Emissary had a lot of potential...

Maybe I'm getting my wires crossed here, but isn't this the dude that did the fake Layton twitter marketing a couple of years ago? I've definitely read the name on GAF somewhere.

I knew that name sounded familiar. Username was Wii Will something something or something.

Dragon Quest X had a beta with one of the WiiU bundles in Japan

Maybe they can included it with Mario 3D world or DKCR2

GAF has heaped a lot of blame for less savory parts of SSBB on Subspace taking away dev resources. Maybe it was a big enough sentiment among the fanbase to scrap the idea all together.

I'd rather they rework subspace so it actually contains series appropriate enemies and such.

No they shouldn't do that, they should however rework subspace so each character has a planet or an area that is their world. And shadow creatures or whoever can invade, so they can be united against a threat.

I don't understand. So are the movies for these characters the movies that they've already released, or will there be a story interconnecting them?

So think they're gonna go back to something among what Melee did with Adventure Mode, traveling through the different Nintendo-theme stages with battles with characters in-between?

Hmm...

Sakurai explained that Wii owners who started playing Smash Bros. with Brawl have become more experienced gamers, and will find the speed boost in the sequel easier to enjoy. He also confirmed that the Wii U and 3DS Smash Bros. games won't have tripping (or prat falls), and that "at this point," the games will allow for multiple air dodges.

That phrasing makes it sound open to change. Maybe try to start a Miiverse campaign for this as well? :lol

I like this theory, lol.

it'll be a picture of sakurai at e3 holding a blanka doll
...I'd be OK with this.

Also, Blanka would be my pick for a Street Fighter rep

Ooo, I like the idea that each character will have their own special CGI movie skit you can watch as soon as you boot up the game. Nice. :)

On the subject of the air dodge thing. I'd be ok with another melee-brawl compromise. Keep it like brawl without the helpless state but it only works once.

It was totally worth it for those sweet story clips though. Hope the "movies" he's referring to is as fan-servicey at SSE's.
