I think Meta-Ridley was the Meta-Ridley model from Prime, actually. The other Ridley boss was a Brawl original model since it was a purple Ridley, and we hadn't had one of those in 3D until Other M.

Did anyone noticed that SSB4's art direction was more cartoony than Brawl's however it's perfect art direction in my opinion.

Yes, and it looks amazing compared to Brawl. It just gives a better feel, its like Brawl should have looked after Melee.

He certainly would feel a bit out of place, but the look fits perfectly for Pacman and Sonic. I hope we get the 3 3rd party characters.

It definitely does, I seriously hopey Sonic returns. And I wouldn't mind Pac-Man either, but I feel he'll too weird for me. XP

I agree, but I like Melee's stages. I'm one of the minority who thought Great Bay was great (with the turtle), and Big Blue is fun, and Onett shakes things up.

Yes!! I loved the Great Bay stage, it was great, all the fond memories of BS kills. :3

I would like to see Smash style Ridley if it's possible. I'm curious what did Brawl's Ridley/Meta-Ridley resemble from what game?

Meta Ridley from Prime 1 and the opening of Prime 3, mostly. There aren't really that many Ridley designs, though. You have the original Metroid design which is just totally different to all of the others and will never really be used again, Ridley from Super Metroid and Zero Mission, Ridley-X which is basically just a recolour of the former, Meta Ridley who is basically just a bigger SM/ZM Ridley with some armour, and Omega Ridley, who is the only significantly different one in that he's pumped full of Phazon.

yeah, Other M did get a few important things right in comparison to Prime. Samus' Power Suit design is much better, and Other M Samus herself is better than her design from Prime 2 and 3 (although Prime 1 has best Samus). Also got her movement right - Samus handled like a tank in the Primes. I mean, yeah, the game was awful in so many respects but there were a few things spot on.

That Link design is looks pretty good, I hope they use it in Zelda Wii U and it fits the description of not cartoony but also not realistic. Has it been confirmed if the 3DS version will have the same content (or not) as the console counterpart?

Each version will have different stages, but they plan to have the same cast in both versions. However, if there are items in the Wii U version that can't be technically accomplished in the 3DS version, they'll stay in the Wii U version but will be removed from the 3DS one. We know nothing about game modes and such at this point.

Glossing over Ridley's second dinoriffic stage probably doesn't help, but it's fair enough if you want to forget that silly bit where he pins you down and starts stabbing you with his tail while you flail around in the first person view.
Coming to think of it my hard mode run stopped right there.

Yeah, pretty much. Only bad feature is she looks maybe a little old. Given Prime is chronologically the second Metroid game after Zero Mission, she's only in her very early 20s or possibly still in her late teens.

- Mario Party (maybe something similar to WarioWare, but the different spaces have different effects)
- Another retro-style stage like Mario Bros. or 25mm. Maybe if Pac-Man's in, the maze.

It's the only Metroid game I ever played. Without others to compare it to, I mostly enjoyed it (even though there were cheap deaths and some terrible mechanics-- find the pixel to advance!)

I was really excited for the story. I love story in video games. But in the end I had to admit that Other M's was uneven at best, sexist and downright stupid at worst.

How about this: Poke Float, in Saffron City. The premise is there's a parade going through the streets of Saffron City -- a Pokémon festival or some shit. So you fight across the rooftops, but in the middle, the various Pokémon balloons go parading by, and you can fight atop them, as well. :O

Does anyone feel like the 3DS version looks a little slower than the Wii U version at this point? I wonder if it's just the 30fps vs 60fps but it just doesn't look right at times compared to the Wii U version even though I have no problem with its graphics.
