From the "next-gen" consoles, FFXV and MGSV are definitely the most interesting picks. Main concerns there are the camera in FFXV and Kojima's tendency to have no self-control editing his cutscenes in MGSV (which stands to be exceptionally painful here, where we have scenes such as operating on a child without the use of anesthesia -- that was excruciating to watch even in a trailer where there's music and you don't hear the kid screaming).
Those gripes aside, the two games look wonderful. Redeemed an otherwise sort of bland showing for the next generation. I'm definitely looking forward to getting a PS4 at some point.
But thank ye gaming gods for Nintendo. This year they delivered, in spades, what I had hoped they'd deliver last year. Just gobs and gobs of COLOR, WARMTH, WHIMSY. Crisp, clear image quality with shaders and texture and slick lighting up the ying-yang. Fantastical art direction and instantly likeable characters and wondrously creative worlds. Mario Kart 8 blew my mind. 3D World looks like something I would've dreamt of as a kid, the whole team ganging up to fight Chargin' Chucks and ride Loch Ness Monsters. Tropical Freeze introduces Viking penguins -- the next best thing after pirate crocs! And of course, SUPER SMASH BROS., now with sociopathic townsfolk, smoking hot yoga pants and MEGA MAN.
What a show. Best E3 since 2010. In fact, E3 TIER TIME:
1) E3 2013
2) E3 2010
3) E3 2006
4) E3 2004
5) E3 2002 **
** Was E3 2002 the one that had Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime and Wind Waker?
It really is amazing. The 3DS version looks incredible.this is just the fucking hottest shit ever
THIS AND PORTABLE AGHAGHGHAHHBAMAMAGADDDDD
2014 god dammit
I cannot believe how good the 3DS version looks. CANT
Yeah, but I'm talking about the E3 where TWW and MP were playable and everyone went from being down on them to singing a more positive tune. I distinctly recall an E3 where there was showfloor video of Link running around Outset Island. As soon as I heard the music, I was sold.Wind Waker's first trailer was shown at Space World 2001
Also Metroid Prime was at 2001 (along with Melee IIRC)
3DS version is gonna be RIDICULOUS. PLEASE let there be global online matchmaking.this is just the fucking hottest shit ever

The mechs in X are closer to Gundam or even Macross than Gurren Lagann, though.I also love mechs. Mechs are rad. Especially if said mechs happen to be related to Gurren Lagann.
that's the only thing that worries me right now. Im in south america so my latency is bound to suck. I played every Mario Kart version with worldwide people with no issues but that's way less active and im sure they do some weird tricks to get it to work. When you're talking about a fighting game where timing is everything, I get worried![]()
Imagine all of this in autostereoscopic 3D:

Did you play multiplayer in Kid Icarus Uprising? It was great. Absolutely chaotic, with some twitchy shootouts and melee face-offs. Yet it held up extremely well online. Things have improved dramatically since the days of Brawl's online mode.yeah fuck guys now im sad again
there's no way this game's multiplayer's gonna function well from here
you know how in Mario Kart DS sometimes you'd shoot a shell and it would stay right behind the other player you're trying to hit sort of lagging for like, 1 second? something as small as that is just gonna ruin everything in this game

I remember the game running at an all mighty 1 frame per second when I played Brawl against an online friend who lived a few blocks away from me. No items on screen, final-destination, still somehow one of the worst cases of lag I've ever witnessed despite both parties being in optimal (for Australia anyway) conditions online-wise.yeah fuck guys now im sad again

ANYTHING at this point would be better to me at this point. Brawl truly has a horrifically awful online-mode.
im purely talking out of the fact that im here dudes:

I get spotty online with pretty much everything unless im playing against other people in South America (and just sometimes at that).
im sure it'll be fine from NA, but from deep south south america? yeah, I have my doubts
either way im pumped tho. Hopefully the online is a nice surprise. If not, my best friend is bound to get it and he lives 5 blocks away. We'll just have to duke it out till the end of times like Melee days.
I was getting a WiiU for this game but honestly if the 3DS version delivers enough, I might just skip smash bros U and wait for a further price-drop/game releasing.

The screenshot just looks like it was taken while either 1) they were taunting (maybe it's possible to taunt in the opposite direction now?), or 2) while they were turning and temporarily facing the background.I noticed something about this screenshot.

Could that screenshot be an implication that we'll be able to walk into that tent at some point?
Well, from what I heard from interviews, it seem that 3DS might be the weakest link. It would be better if we get both but I understand some people can't afford it.
Pretty sure that concerns about the netcode are unfounded, Namco is legendary for their fighting game netcode. Smooth as silk.
You can standby while facing forward.

Well, I imagine Nintendo tapped Namco for a reason. Their ability to get online right might be one of the reasons -- I'm sure Sakurai knows Brawl's online wasn't up to snuff. That's if Nintendo would let them input their famous netcode in Smash instead of Nintendo's.
I think his point was less about the game's netcode itself and more just how bad the service is in Uruguay in general.Pretty sure that concerns about the netcode are unfounded, Namco is legendary for their fighting game netcode. Smooth as silk.
Obviously that might not save you if you're in Uruguay but who knows.

Also Salsa, I forget to mention that both games wouldn't be release at same time, so I don't know which version would release at first.

Also, for the new page, since I love looking at the 3DS version:
IGN reported it here. Basically they're having issues with the 3DS version in some areas like working in characters like the Ice Climbers (nice we had that not-so-subtle hint they're back considering how many people thought they were axed during Brawl's development) which use more than one character for one playable slot, so they might not wind up releasing at the same time since Nintendo wants them to have roster parity.Did Nintendo say this? I didn't catch it.
Awesome! I'll add it to the onslaught. Thanks for all of the GIFS!

I'll gladly take that scenario over having characters cut from the Wii U version since they don't 'work' on the 3DS version.
FUCKING ICE CLIMBERS
