PlayStation E3 2013 - Diablo III Demo

Playing that demo at E3 raised my interest, as I'd never played any of the PC games. It handled well on the PS3 controller, I liked the looks of the game, and it performed decently.
 
Fun hit of the week type game; playthrough once or twice and that's about all it has to offer. Sadly, it has nothing on Path of Exile.
 
I don't think this would be fun as a ranged character, but maybe they'll surprise me. Also I think it's strange that they constantly harp on about how "hand crafted" the game is to "feel like a console game."

Sadly, this is sorta how I feel.

Something like this would make a nice early addition to the PlayStation Plus Instant game collection on the PS4.
 
Looks pretty cool. A lot of work seems to have gone into porting it to consoles. Hopefully some of the improvements will filter back to the PC version too (things like those Nephalem globes that he mentioned sound nice).

This. As much as I dislike Blizzard at this point and was let down by D3, I can't tell someone who finds the game fun to not get it. It's worth a play through on the couch with your friends, but beyond that, not much. Knew this game would be on console as soon as I started playing.

For any PC gamers who want a good ARPG though, it's right here

I would pay money to see a D3 dev get lost in a PoE dungeon.

Yes. Very serious. 60fps. It performed quite well.

Please understand that I'm a console guy by nature, so I've not played any of the PC games in the series-- this was a first for me. I liked what I saw, I enjoyed what I played, and I've gone from "Oh, this is Diablo?" to "Wow, this is pretty fun!"
 
So console version has a dodge mechanic, split-screen co op and no auction house. That gives the PC version an absolute trouncing, though its still not enough for me to buy.

Though I will say this about Blizz and D3; even though the game is possibly the most disappointing game of all time given the hype, they have kept working to improve it. Perhaps one day they will manage to untangle all the terrible design decisions that it contained.
 
Look alot of fun. Never liked playing hack n slashes with kb and mouse.

Glad we can use a controller.

Wish they would do the same for path of exile.
 
Sorry in advance if this has already been answered, but is the PS4 version 100% confirmed and did they give a release date for it?

Dont see why not, but they would have to change the interface much like what d3 is doing with the console release.

But i was really asking for controller support for the pc version. That i dunno how they will pull off tho, if they use the same ui they are using now.
 
Wow, I'm genuinely impressed at the level of effort going into this with the UI & controls.

I may pick this up, just to give me a game to play with friends and siblings online.

Was confirmed but nothing regarding the release date or any new info since the Sony Press Conference in Feb.
I think everyone wants to know what is up the PS4 version
 
I was one of the only people who was happy with the game on PC. But now that it's on console with local 4 player going to be even better. Just wish they announce when PS4 version will be out. Like the game but don't want to buy it 3 times.

pretty sure it's been confirmed for PS4

Game looks great, but i've never been able to play diablo 2. Do i really need to play it in advance? or will i be ok. Big fan of diablo 1 BTW
