I've said that I want Chibi-robo, but as a matter of principles I'd rather he wasn't in it if it meant no cuts. Except maybe Lucario, or Falco...

The chance of that happening is none since Mega Man X have different hitbox than Mega Man and it would be weird to see Mega Man X behaving like Classic.

What I was going for was low priority characters that we haven't seen before. Tingle may have a game, but he's low priority. He may be higher than the others I listed, but still low priority.

Which after Wii Fit Trainer and Villager, it's interesting to see if they choose a cast of odd characters we know of rather than a cast of well-known characters. I could see it happening where we get a bunch of reps cut and other games being put in for the first time rather than a ton of Zelda-Mario-Pokemon-Starfox reps.

I would be pretty upset if any of the mainstays were cut for those characters, the first three in particular (does anyone actually want Skull Kid?). Minimal cuts are fine, but they don't need to go all Street Fighter III on us.

I know it's a prediction roster, but do you think Layton has any chance of being in the game? It just seems like he will. He was featured in the fan polls and rosters, even in Japan, but of course I could be wrong as well. I just feel that he will be included.

I'd be surprised to see Ike cut for Chrom of all people. The two are pretty dissimilar in design and character. I'd expect Chrom to be some variation of Marth's fighting style if anything.

Design-wise, Chrom was clearly inspired by Ike, with the half sleeve look and more aggressive personality. Also, all the jokes about Chrom breaking walls suggest a focus on power, rather than finesse. There's also the Aether skill, even if the animation wasn't the same.

We've never gotten a secondary character over a viable protagonist in Smash though. This isn't like Marvel vs Capcom where we often can get people like Zero and Tron Bonne before the main heroes of their games.

Chrom will represent Awakening. The most you can hope for is Sakurai getting creative and using a tag team thing.

Also, it'd be weird for them to apply Ike's moves to Chrom or Lucina, given that Falchion is more of a rapier, while Ragnell is a massive two handed sword, which is the rationale for Ike being so damned slow.

Second part is great. Nikki SHOULD be the Mii representative. I'd be all for Mii, in that case.

Hey that's just me though. I think the Clones have simply gotten out of hand. I'd take a smaller roster with unique characters over a huge roster of b level characters and cloned movesets.

And yeah, Nikki should be in.

As for 3rd party inclusions, I would bet that Snake and Sonic are out. Knowing the type of licensing and paperwork that is involved in licensing stuff like that, it's pretty sure that both Sonic and Snake were simply licensed for one game.

Unless they've gone back to put them in again, they're not coming back.
