Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Hey that's just me though. I think the Clones have simply gotten out of hand. I'd take a smaller roster with unique characters over a huge roster of b level characters and cloned movesets.

And yeah, Nikki should be in.

As for 3rd party inclusions, I would bet that Snake and Sonic are out. Knowing the type of licensing and paperwork that is involved in licensing stuff like that, it's pretty sure that both Sonic and Snake were simply licensed for one game.

Unless they've gone back to put them in again, they're not coming back.

Perhaps, but I mean, what clones are in these games? SSB had one, SSBM had six, and SSBB had five. Clones give us more, and I would hardly say the clones in Melee were b-characters.

Don't you think that that kind of defeats the point of even having Miis in the game? Having Nikki in the game as opposed to choosing your own Mii (which could include, uh, duh, Nikki or yourself or thousands of other characters or things)? That'd be kind of lame actually.

Perhaps, but I don't want Reggie Mii and Hitler Mii in my games. I'd be more excited if it was a specific Mii that people like.

I detest the idea of Mii's in the game. Absolutely detest it. I hold out hope that the Villager is as close as we'll get to such a thing. I do not want to be in a 4 player online match playing Smash Bros with whatever character I choose, and 3 freakin garbage, low detail, smh-worthy Mii's. F that.

Golden Sun, Custom Robo and Punch-Out rep need to get in before this series gets a rep. These young whippersnapper series think they're hot stuff. Give no old series respect.

I'd love to see issac's son, and a custom robo rep, be a dream come true! no more assist trophy treatment lol

'DATS RACIST!

Where are all the women, we need our fair share. :(

Peach, Zelda, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, not bad for a game named 'Super Smash Bros.' Also, I don't see why the Villager wouldn't have his female counterpart as either a choice, or alternate costume, and I also would expect Tharja or Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Now let's be fair, every character seen in smash 4 so far has great quality so having low detail miis if they are in is highly unlikely lol.

I think Mii would be cool and fitting. They're one of Nintendo's most important mascot nowadays.

Also, the Miis in Nintendoland look great.

Damn straight.

Also for Mii's I think the primary reason why they won't show up is that a lot of people have really dumbass ones that have a dick for a face, Hitler, and other stupid shit. So I feel like unless they put in one that you can't change its' appearance then they won't be in at all unless it's through a stage in the background like Wuhu Island or an assist trophy.

If it's an specific Mii, then the answer is obvious.

Well of course! :P I just want to see more females represented in. Still expect Palutena, who will be one of the greatest additions. Her design is just so damn great. :3

They can all be alt. costumes. No need for any of them to actually take up a roster spot.

They aren't taking up a roster spot. Where has Sakurai ever suggested that this was the case? When has Sakurai EVER stated that if he didn't do clones, he would add other characters?

Melee's loss of clones results in fewer characters, not new characters like Wario or Meta Knight.

I don't think he's any race, I was just messing around. Sort of like how people joke about Akuma and Sentinel being black in Marvel.

Ha, I think I heard something like that about Akuma before but not Sentinel. And Kratos is another character that comes to mind.

Anyways, it is pretty sad how there's a lack of diversity of race and gender, but there's not much to do about it.

Expect Hades, that way you won't be disappointed. And Pandora <3

Obviously Fire Emblem next rep should be Anna (RNG goddess version)!
Or Micaiah or Lucina or Celica or Lyn.

I just want more girls in smash in general. :D

I suppose they can include Krystal (Starfox) and Dixie (DK) and Daisy (Mario) and Paula or Kumatora (Earthound) too.
Palutena is also a good idea.

This thread is so hard to catch up with.

Re: move decay. I like it as an idea. If it forces them to make characters more versatile, then I like it. The general idea makes sense in the context of Smash. Since the % based knockbacks means you have to customize most of your combos, I like that the game also forces you to mix up your moves.

Unfortunately, I see the other side of the coin, which is that characters will inevitably be less versatile, and this punishes them even more.

Re: Fire Emblem. Chrom seems to be the most likely choice. He is the main lord of the game, and probably won't be a clone of Marth. Not my original suggestion, but I love the idea of doing a Chrom + Lucina pair up. That makes sense with the context of Awakening, and it'd be unique for sword users.

As for Lyn, Tharja, and other fan favorites (where's Soren?), all this talk makes me think we need an entirely separate Fire Emblem fighting game just to fit everyone. Maybe Smash Bros. for Wii U should've been the normal Smash Bros. and Smash Bros. for 3DS could be called Super Smash Bros. Rejects, full of Fire Emblem characters, eShop personalities, and discarded pokemon.

Oh yeah, I'd like to see Palutena as well. Forgot about her.

It's funny, reception for Wii Fit Trainer was kind of mixed, for me as well. I showed my sister the announcement clip though and she was quite happy because it's a female character that looks like it will kick ass.

Also, I wouldn't at all mind getting rid of Lucas for Paula if Ness can have Lucas' up smash :D

I don't understand why anyone expects Tharja. She carries 0 importance. Hell, some people might have just unwittingly killed her and moved on.

Anna, on the other hand, has been in every Fire Emblem except for Gaiden. If we're getting a non-lord (which I doubt), it'll be Anna.

So, the implications of Guardian Orbitars replacing Pit's Mirror Shield (or so it would appear)... The Mirror Shield was one of the Three Sacred Treasures. So, perhaps it's been made into a new Three Sacred Treasures Final Smash... assuming Pit's Final Smash isn't now the (KIU spoiler)
Great Sacred Treasure
. In either case, frees up Palutena to be a character, so I hope this is what it means!

I imagine Roll is a lock for assist trophy.

Maybe Bass as well.
I guess Roll could just roam around sweeping with her broom or something. I can see Protoman making an appearance via assist trophy, similar to his mini-boss battles in the NES games, just running and jumping while shooting at random.

Now that I think about it, we have any idea on Mega Man's Final Smash aside from the theory it's the Yellow Devil (I think it's a boss for single player)

Hmm thinking about move decay again, brawl's hitstun canceling didn't help things too since most would have probably died sooner even with decay.

I only suggest her because she's the fan boy favorite flavor of the current FE time period, and I'd take her any day over yet another sword wielding FE character.

I think they need to include Lucina somehow someway because then they can troll the fanbase.
They can give her moves that comes from all 4 choices that could be her mother. XD

Let's talk Anna:

She's a merchant trickster. Been in nearly ever FE (maybe every FE?). She was all over Awakening -- playable for the first time, and her identical sisters were the merchants heralding DLC.

What could make her unique? Aside from being a redhead female, her fighting style in Awakening has a unique look to it. Like Gray Fox in Metal Gear Solid, she swings her sword handle first. When she stands, she holds her sword upright behind her. When she runs, she also keeps her blade upright behind her. Very stylish!

Where her sword is concerned, she could use the lightning-zapping Levin Sword, as seen in this official art:

She could also swing around sacks of gold and fling coins in the face of her enemies, being a merchant trickster and all. I mean, look at all of that gold!

Put a mask on Marth. People who didn't play Awakening have Marth, but will wonder why Marth has a mask, and people who played Awakening will be in on the mask and understand what is going on.

Just adding another sword wielder (one that is similar looking to Marth no less) would be trolling the fan base. Of all of the great Nintendo characters to choose from out there, if they are going to just keep adding sword wielders from FE, then they need to just stop, and tap other series.

How is Toad not a playable character??? He's been in almost every mario game that one I don't understand at all.

Also like I said more villains! Shadow K Rool

Who's pits antagonist?

Magic-wielding Avatar/Robin it is then!

The Kid Icarus villain with the legacy factor is Medusa.

In the more recent Kid Icarus Uprising, Pit goes up against a rogue's gallery of villains, but the ultimate villain is Hades.

I'd like both, alongside Palutena, in an idyllic world where we can have four KI reps.

I support all the Fire Emblem Awakening ideas, I just got the game and it´s amazing!

Also holy crap GAF it took me a LOT to catch up the last page from 1DAY 1 DAYYY!!!!
