Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Quite a bit different. The platform floats around for one thing.

The view is much futher back too in the wii u version.

Alright, thanks.
Sleepiness and forgetfulness is getting to me.

No Goku no deal.

Eh, they've been using Samus's Zero Suit as kind of her default look outside of her power suit since Zero Mission. In fact there's also a sequence in Other M where Samus is forced to run back to her ship with nothing but her Zero Suit and her emergency pistol. I think Zero Suit Samus is here to stay.

Not to mention Zero Suit Samus was a pretty popular addition to the game. Who DIDN'T laugh the first time Snake went "OTACON, SAMUS JUST TOOK OFF HER CLOTHES."? Not anyone I want to associate myself with, that's who.

Huh, interesting. What is Lucas' role in Mother 3?

He's a strong team healer like Ness, but he also access to offensive up & defense up PSI skills (Atk+ and Def+ skills) which makes him a damn good support member. His PK Rockin (Love) costs significantly less PP than Ness but does less damage. So they pretty much have the same skillset, but instead of buff spells, Ness has PSI Hypnosis & Paralysis, which are situational (though paralysis can make certain bosses and enemies COMPLETELY useless).

I hope they don't limit the amount of pokeballs that can spawn at once, Playing Pokeball battles in Brawl was significantly less chaotic than in Melee where it was pure chaotic fun. Also, it'd be nice if you could control what Pokemon comes out, Pokeballs with only Ho-ho would be so much fun.

That was mostly a limitation of the engine in Brawl where most things that spawned new characters on the field were loaded from disc instead of from memory like they were in Melee. It's the reason why the Zelda->Shiek transformation is fast and always takes the same amount of time in Melee, but is chaotically random in Brawl.

Ness definitely has the best healing options, including HP recovery, status recovery, and support moves, but I should probably mention that unlike the stereotypical cleric I think of when I hear "team healer", he has the best physical attack and defense as well.

If another Zelda/Sheik, Samus/Zero Suit Samus, or Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard is already on the field and you transform into them, the transformation takes as long as it did in Melee.

Yeah, that bat/yo yo/etc. wasn't for nothin. :)

Zero Suit Samus is my Brawl main. She's sorta like Swordmasters in Fire Emblem -- she's not really all *that* powerful, but her maneuverability is just god-tier. She's got like, the best recoveries in the game, and she can rack up some really great combos.

Please be in Smash 4.

Actually Kumatora had the debuff PSI skills. Lucas was limited to buff skills.

Ah yes yo are right. I now remember the staple pattern I had for bosses was for Lucas to buff the party, Kumatura to debuff them with PSI, Duster to debuff with Items, and have Boney for attacking items/shield snatcher.

Meowth didn't sound right either.
I guess at least Jessie had the right voice.

The show has been going on for many, many years. Voice actors change, so it's not really a matter of sounding "right", but sounding "familiar."

The weirdest thing I thought about that clip was that they looked really short. I remember the human characters being a lot taller in the show. Did the art style change?

She has plenty of rather strong KO moves.

She's like a million times more powerful than regular Samus, who is the weakest character in the game.

Which is dumb, because regular Samus was advertised as being the "slow, but more powerful" version of Samus.

But a lot of them are fairly situational. Her smash attacks are pretty unreliable as kill moves, and the sweet spots for her aerials can require some juggling.

Huh? Her d-smash is almost broken. It's like the only move in the game that's safe on shield (I think it's 0 on shield lol), and gives her an easy combo into her many kill moves.

Her side B is an amazing KO move, so are her jump kicks with absurd priority. She's not overpowered or anything, but KO potential is not one of her flaws in my opinion :P And as Poltergust said, it's just hilarious that regular Samus is SO MUCH weaker.

ZSS is one of my favorite characters. Even though they showed Samus's Final Smash in the reveal, I think they're still working on ZSS so that's why she hasn't been shown. Samus really needs to be buffed for this game.

I remember one time in Brawl after using Snake a crapload of matches in a row with my friend, I went to Samus on character select and he started to laugh a little bit saying "after all of that you're gonna use her?", then I did the up/down/up taunt trick with her to switch to ZSS shortly after the match started. He didn't know about it so he was all "wait wut" and it was hilarious.

Looking back, I rarely ever used powersuit Samus, and sometimes in online matches I'd just get the smashball with ZSS just so that no one else could have it. I wouldn't use it either since that means getting the armor back, I'd just hold onto it so no one else could. Definitely saved me from several Super Sonics. I can only imagine how mad some people got.

Heh, I thought this was kinda amusing. A couple of years ago, I made a thread talking about why Nintendo originally wanted to keep the dev for SSBB a secret:

What if it's because it's a shameful secret? Think about it. All this time a lot of us were thinking that that it might be some major third party, however what would be the point in keeping that shit a secret? Nintendo's already worked with Sega on a few games, same with Namco, and Konami. So it's not like it would be anything new or shocking. However, what if it's somebody that you'd be better off not mentioning. Like Tose, Artoon, Hudson or Dimps?!! Or NAMCO?! Granted, I don't think it might affect the sales too much, but still, negative news is negative news.

Also, this was funny too:

It seems reasonable that they'd outsource the sequel to the highest selling GameCube game to some shitty developer.

Haha.

Question for all of you.

In Melee we had the pokemon stadium stage. During the match it would change between I think it was 5 forms. That normal form, then themed stages around grass, water, fire, and I think rock.

In Brawl we got another pokemon stadium again with 5 forms. The first form was kept but the other forms were changed, now representing different pokemon types, this time electric, flying, ground, and ice.

My question being the following: Pokemon Stadium "3" is probably a given at this point. What types would you like to see represented and how? You guys can pick from any 4 of the types that haven't been used, including obviously the new Fairy. So that means there's still 10 types left. What do you guys think.

As long as she doesnt use the terrible Other M design.

I know this has been posted already, but:

I dunno about Fairy, but if they make a Pokemon Stadium 3 and all-new types (they rolled out the second set of 4 because PS1 was in Brawl as well)...
I guess Poison would be possible, with having hazardous floors (ala Metroid stages, or maybe just draining health), perhaps Bug with moving bugs as platforms, breakable cocoons - just a forest would also work, though. Steel could have moving cogs and conveyor belts similar to the PS2 electric stage transformation. Perhaps a dojo for Fighting, but I wouldn't know any hazard for it.

Fairy turns the set into a stage production of Peter Pan.

Steel (industrial looking, moving gears, etc.), Fighting(very standard, some platforms, wtv), Ghost (weirdly moving platforms?), and Dragon (dunno, statues of dragon pokemon and stuff?)

You know this is fairly obvious. But I'm surprised there isn't a Super Smash Bros. Dojo stage. Like an actual dojo. I know that, the fighting pokemon thing for Pokemon Stadium could basically work. But I find it odd that it hasn't been done before.

It's weird that both the Villager's intro and promotional art show Isabelle who is from New Leaf and yet the stage and his appearance are clearly from City Folk.

They really should make the backdrop a bit of a hybrid and just stick some public works in it so it's not just focused on one game.

Yes I get the whole console games for console version handheld games for handheld version idea, but City Folk is like the least popular of the series.
