He's against customization. He never said anything on alternate outfits, so I think we may see them.
Gotcha. Was hoping I read it wrong. While silly, alternate costumes is really high on my wish list.

What are they doing?
Who the fuck hates on Waluigi? Idiots.
Waluigi isn't boring or anything... he could be a fun character, he just doesn't deserve to be in the game. I can think of 10 Mario characters more deserving than he and Geno.I know, and seeing people say "oh people only like him because he's a Wario clone with shitty Luigi paint" is terrible.
Waluigi hasn't been given nearly enough chances and also deserves his own game on the 3DS (Next Level Games would prove all the haters and "he's boring" people wrong). Giving him a unique moveset and the iconic "Too Bad, Waluigi Time!" taunt will do a lot for him.
Still can't get over how frantic it looks. The action seems as, or even more rapid as in Melee. This game is gonna be great, I don't care about L-cancelling, wavedashing and whatever, but pace is of utmost value to me.

Yep. I have nothing against Waluigi as a character, but he is presently not deserving of being playable. If he ever proves his worth and gets a game of his own (or simply appears in a mainline game), then he should absolutely be considered. As it stands, he's very low on the Mario universe totem pole.Waluigi isn't boring or anything... he could be a fun character, he just doesn't deserve to be in the game. There's a lot of factors in what makes a character deserving. Level of importance in game/game series is the main thing. A main character is always the most deserving. When it comes to secondary characters, the most deserving are the ones who have important roles in popular series, like Luigi, Peach and Bowser. Waluigi isn't the main character of any game and he's not important in any of the games he's in. The only thing he has going for him is that he's a popular choice. Geno is even less deserving. What makes a character more deserving anyways?
How highly requested he is? How important he is to the story of the Mario games? The amount of games he's been in?
Every character in Smash Bros., with the exception of Jigglypuff and Falco, is either a major protagonist of a specific game/series, a major rival, or a focal story character. Jigglypuff got in because she was very popular in Japan at a time where there was only one Pokémon generation, and Falco got in because he was a last minute clone. Everyone else can be considered a "Nintendo all-star" (as is the original game's Japanese subtitle) to some degree. Waluigi isn't nearly significant enough. What makes a character more deserving anyways?

I'm very curious as to what English Marth would sound like, but I'm also conditioned to expect Japanese Marth voice track to happen again.
Kind of off-topic but I am playing Xenoblade seriously for the first time and I just fought the monster that shared your name not 10 minutes ago.
It would seem to me that "Marth" is such an easy in for this version as Marth, but I'm not sakurai obviously. I'd also be 100% okay with it and want it really bad haha.
I'd rather have them alter the mechanic a bit and make it so there's reasons not to L-Cancel (there's a few rare situations in Melee but most of the time you'd want to).No. Wave-dashing adds options and is cool. L-canceling is an artificial barrier to high level play; just remove the landing lag frames automatically without having to press a button. That's my personal opinion.
What are you posting! It won't load on my phone. >.<

Yeah I don't understand the complaints of that it'd be impossible for Marth to be replaced, because it'd still represent the original Marth and you'd get the "Marth" fans too.

It wouldn't represent the original Marth because you would be removing the original Marth. That's not hard to understand.

There are a lot of undeserving characters who could work, but that doesn't change the fact that they're undeserving. I used to want Soren from Fire Emblem, Koopa Troopa and Blaziken to be in Brawl. They'd all make fun characters, but I recognize that none of them deserved to be in the game. Also I think Waluigi would work really well as an oddball character every fighting game has. A character with moves that seam useless on first sight but are really useful when completely mastered. Besides having a completely bonkers personality.

No it wouldn't.
Actually that person pretending to be marth and fighting like marth is a way to preserve marth's memory.
That one was the call of duty dog.

I'm sure Jigglypuff having basically the same body build-up as Kirby had as much to do with her inclusion, as well.Jigglypuff got in because she was very popular in Japan at a time where there was only one Pokémon generation
Marth is the face of Fire Emblem. He starred in the first Fire Emblem game, the most important Fire Emblem game (FE3), remakes of both of those games, and has already appeared in two Smash Bros. installments. To suggest replacing him with a one-off female cosplayer as sufficient absolutely boggles my mind.Yeah I don't understand the complaints of that it'd be impossible for Marth to be replaced, because it'd still represent the original Marth and you'd get the "Marth" fans too.
You're arguing my point for me dude. Deserving has nothing to do with popularity. Waluigi and Geno are poplular... but they're not deserving.PokéKong;64349236 said:"Deserving" is a lot of nonsense. SSB is not a popularity contest, it is not impacted by sales numbers, or story, or "relevance".
Part of me agrees with this. But part of me also feels that being in Smash may lead to him being more important. Being in smash could flesh out his identity, which includes his personality, his abilities, and could be the factor that'll allow him to star in his own (awesomely terrible xD) game.
Nintendo and E32013, respectively. What's the username and password for the press site again? I want the press kit for Smash.
Guys, Roy is coming back I can guarantee it! You'll all laugh at me, but in the end.. I will have the last laugh! Mwuhaha!

I want everyone back. Just not Pichu.
I can get behind Bowser Jr. Back when Brawl was being planned, his only appearance was in Sunshine, but he's since had major roles in the New Super Mario Bros. games (and slightly less major roles in the Galaxy games). He has to be on Sakurai's radar, at least.Even if its pushing it.. Bowser Jr. and Waluigi for SSB4!
