Heh I didn't even tell them to do that. I'm not even really a particularly active user but Art knows me through GAF since that's where I reached out to him to help him train for Evo a couple years ago. He hyped me up before my match at E3 so I guess Spooky or whoever was manning the stream just put the tag in front of my name.
 
Surely that was a typo and he meant to type in Marvel 3 instead of Marvel 4.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised by sp00ky doing that but why not? We're a community of FG fans and we play regularly. If we're sporting NeoGAF| at least folks can't accuse us of not going to tournaments at all.

We'll still be free as fuck but we'd be there. Also, we'll still be Illuminati.

It was a disappointing showing especially after Art hyped me up but I'm blaming it on one of the buttons not working!!

Well a new Marvel 4 would effectively kill Marvel 3. I just can't imagine Capcom going forward with a new Marvel game when the current one is still going strong (NB4 Mahvel is dead jokes). Unless it's like a big expansion to Marvel 3 using a slightly updated graphics engine for next gen but with all the characters in tact.... that would be pretty awesome too.

If I had the choice, I'd take a 3 patch over an all-new 4. That would just be a whole new game to wait for patches for.

I'm cool with a Marvel 3 patch or a Marvel 4. My big concern with a Marvel 3 patch is how much funding the team would get for something that won't help Capcom's finances. I want a real retooling of the game's TAC system, and that's not going to happen in a patch. Neither is spreading assist love throughout the cast. Neither will the netcode improve. Those are all the big issues in the game to me. Vergil is a non-issue for me due to my team.
 
Unless Marvel 4 is a rebranded Marvel 3 + expansion for next gen.

I know this is odd to some people but you have to consider what could happen with Marvel 4.

*Lots of characters they introduced in Marvel 3 can get axed. No way are they going to start off the roster at 50 characters unless it's a rebranded Marvel 3 expansion.

*Mechanics reworked, probably new mechanics added that could be insanely stupid.

*There will probably be more anti-consumer features added to the game. I mean they could easily make Marvel 4 F2P or something.

*Vanilla Marvel 3 was 10x more broken than UMVC3. A new Vanilla MVC4 is going to be broken out of the gate... no ifs and buts about it.

*They could totally mess up the art style. I really feel they hit that element out of the park with MVC3 with their comic book style visuals but if its a brand new game it will have a new art style which could mean a downgrade in that department.

Just MVC and Injustice for me. Wanted to learn SF X T and play SF4 and Persona but I didn't have enough time to train. I really like Jin/Alisa in SF X T though. If I played that game enough id rock that team.

Yea imo it comes down to the disney side. Would disney be up for a marvel 4? They could be based on mvc3/umvc3 sales (don't know the numbers).
 
When I went to jury duty selection one of the older, meaner looking lawyers was picking his nose. I should have brought that up as a reason I shouldn't be a juror.

The Marvel fanbase is the easiest to troll. We just have so much hope. It's like after school basketball, when two team captains keep picking kids to be on their team. You sit there hoping you're next, or at least that you won't be completely forgotten.

Yeah of course! Even though I live close enough to a bunch of players, realistically I very rarely have 2-4 free hours to drive to someone's place and play. I get more like 30 minutes now and then, so online play is mostly what I do. I play sometimes when I go to WNF or TRB but usually I'm commentating there. Or playing ST or Third Strike.

Anyway in conclusion, I'm down to get blown up online by anyone who wants to!

Awesome! I'd love to play, too. I'm on 360- GuardianE9999. The Marvel thread in the Community forums is pretty active with people who are up for games.
 
The only thing that could get me into really playing SF4 again would be if they added the SFxT SF crew. And even then I think it would only interest me for a few months.

I really don't understand the point of updating the game again. Shit is old and tired. Unless they add in some crazy new mechanics like this is the 90s and they're doing endless SF2 revisions.
