Hm... The later implies that he isn't set to cut any Brawl characters at this point, and anyone removed would be just due to time constraints. Interesting, although I might be reading too much into it. Also, mentioning movies as a factor for Pokemon choices, and also X/Y, raises Mewtwo's chances even more.
That's a new form for Mewtwo (He powers up into it in one of the trailers for the anime, with an aura, like a DBZ character), not a separate Pokemon.
The more I see, the more I like this image.
The rounded shapes, colore palette, cartoonish textures, bloom effect on both the character and the background. Lovely

Well, anime!Mewtwo is TR property anyway. In the games it's Fuji and some random scientist.
So I think it's safe to say that this move is Pit's new Side-B. I very much prefer it over the old move.
I love Pit's model in both versions.

You are correct about characters being cut due to time constraints. They should turn those characters into DLC.

Yup. That way no one can complain about the roster being unbalanced after the game has already shipped. You think one particular character is too strong? Don't download that character, simple as that.

Then what, you don't get matched online against people who own the character? Online play has to have all characters able to compete, even if you don't own them, otherwise you get into these weird pools of 'only people who have character A, but not B, C, D" and only 'B and D, but not A and C", and it's very weird. So, that solves the issue for local play, but not online play.
I don't think so. Because it'd make me happy.
I'd like if some of his smash attacks used new items too. Side smash could be one of the large blunt hammer things. final smash could be his legendary armor thing. I need to replay that game.

I think we've seen two landing spots, the one in front of the goddess statue & there's a scene of link standing near the bridge in front of the bazaar.
I do think a few locations are likely/interesting:
1. The bunch of platforms above the waterfall.
2. The floating waterfall island above skyloft.
3. On the goddess's arms/hands.
4. There's a bunch of houses with stairs on em close to the bazaar & knight's academy that make for an interesting platform layout.
5. Either of the two locations underneath skyloft.
6. Knight's academy rooftop.
Anyway I'm sure there's a few other places I surely missed, but these stand out to me as likely.

The main deal? Not sure what you mean. The main deal for Smash 3DS for me is... being able to play Smash Bros. on a 3DS. It isn't a complementary game to Smash Wii U. It's a separate experience with completely different stages and a shared roster. There will be commonalities, yes. But if you're saying the 3DS version exists for these nondescript "customizations" then I'm gonna have to disagree.
Of course, I could just be completely misunderstanding you. That happens here on the internet.

I was thinking about this. It would be cool if, somehow, people were able to mod the new Smash through external USB drives or something. Kinda like how people can load custom music, models, skeletons, etc. in Brawl now. I can't imagine it happening though.

No customized costumes. Sakurai already confirmed that when he was asked about the customization in the 3DS version. He didn't explain what the customization was about, but said it wouldn't be costumes.
I don't think that negates the possibility of more Wario-type preset alternate outfits, but we won't be getting the possibility of adding accessories/changing parts of the character's outfit, just choosing out of their default options.
Genesect isn't from X/Y or getting anything new for X/Y in the new movie. It's a Black/White Pokemon.

It seems like Genesect. He's popular in Japan right now, would have very unique moves for Smash, and has a movie coming out. I would say Newtwo but he's not unique.

Well, bullshit. Why not? Can't see how it negatively affects the game in any way allowing Mario to look like Dr. Mario etc.
There's been nothing conclusive on alternate costumes, just no custom costumes.

It's not a X/Y movie. It's the final Black & White movie that's introducing some X/Y Pokemon.

See the name "Best Wishes"? That's the name of the Black/White anime in Japan. The human cast is still all Black/White too. This always happens at the ending of each generation.
Genesect isn't a X/Y representative, he's from Black/White. It pretty much has to be Mewtwo with his new X/Y form going by that comment.

You're mixing up stuff there. He denied that the customization would be about changing characters' appearances/costumes. That doesn't rule out preset alternate outfits, like Wario's in Brawl, or a Dr.Mario costume likely would be.

I remember people telling me to just accept that Ness was gone, and then when he was revealed I was so angry. I wanted to go up to every person who kept harassing me for having hope that Ness would return, and break their skulls.

This says nothing about the representative being from X and Y, he's just giving an example. Could be from X/Y, the show, movie, whatever. Whichever Pokemon is the most popular and are "going to be central to any of conversations in Pokemon going forward"
I could see it being Sylveon as well. In my opinion he just seemed heavily focused on getting a unique Pokemon more than anything, which rules Newtwo out.

New Mewtwo is starring in the main movie, not only a short feature, and also a new tv special. It's pretty clear that he's getting the most hype out of any new gen Pokemon so far. Sylveon's hype was mostly about the mystery regarding its type, but it's not getting a full feature about it.
Genesect is the Deoxys of Black/White. A popular, "cool" transitional Pokémon introduced way too late in the generation to be considered the mascot. He'll be a Poké Ball summon.
There's always been one Pokémon introduced near the start of a new generation that's marketed more than the others, and it's always this Pokémon that ends up in Smash Bros. (or at least planned for it). Gold/Silver had Pichu to play up the new baby Pokémon mechanic, Ruby/Sapphire had Plusle and Minun to promote the tag mechanic (and they're even colored after the two versions of the game), Diamond/Pearl had Lucario, and Black/White had Zoroark. It's a little too early to tell, but it looks like Mewtwo's new form might be "the" Pokémon of X/Y. It's a break from tradition, but so are the X/Y games in general.

But if you try to inform them about the goings on in pokemans, they perceptions will be shattered.
I don't see why we can't have someone like Genesect or Sylveon and also have Mewtwo. From what I've heard, Mewtwo was more finished than any of the cut characters from Brawl. He's still clearly a popular Pokemon, and he's even getting a brand new form; if you ask me, this is the perfect time to reintroduce him! Having Mewtwo plus a new Pokemon rep get in isn't mutually exclusive, I think. There's plenty of room for both!
