Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Yup, same thing here.

I can't buy Epic Mickey either, there's no 'purchase' button. Makes me wonder if the price was an error.

It's not an error, the game will be on Friday along with Jack Trilogy and the new Lego game. It always sucks that they have to wait longer (now joined by Ireland) even though the games are in the store.

@Twinduct
You're welcome!

Edit:

Buy Dokuro, Soul Sacrifice and Virtua Tennis 4!

I bought J&D trilogy and Epic Mickey on AUS PSN. $23 for Mickey, and $0 for J&D. Suprised Mickey was so cheap. Have to clear 3gb before I can DL mickey though and have ot dash to work!

Me too, open the last visualized one, after a pair of seconds you can see that it loads the next 2 or 3 items too, repeat. it's a pain but if you really need the entire list...

Appreciated!

*sigh* You'd hope someone is testing the store. Afterall it's kinda important to the business :-)

I'm looking to buy CoD Declassified for Vita, but I can only find Hong Kong (Asian) Version for reasonable price.

Can anyone tell me if im going to be able to activate online pass for it on my UK account?

Tnx

I don't think there is an online pass.

There was in Resistance (Nihilistic game too) so i thought this one got it too.

Can anyone confirm this to me please?

Difference being that Resistance was published by Sony and Declassified is published by Activision. I haven't actually played Declassified, though, so it could have an online pass.
There was no online pass in my UK retail copy, if that helps.

quick look around online suggests the 360 version is the only version released in NA, ps3 and vita only seem to have PEGI on
Thanks. That is what i noticed as well when searching on Amazon.com. I guess maybe those Vita versions were imported to the US. The Vita games are region free after all.

The Vita version plays fantastically! But still 'soon'. At least Vita and mobile development are separate.

Terraria would be so awesome on Vita, but I got really used to playing it at 1920x1200 resolution on PC. I wonder if I could still enjoy it at the Vita's resolution. Being able to see more of what's around you is a pretty big advantage in this game.

MGS and MGS PW but no MGS PO on sale? That's too bad, it's the only game I'm missing. I'd like to play it before going to PW.

You really, really don't need it. You get a throwaway line at the very beginning of Peace Walker ("We can finally leave all this crap at San Hieronymo (sic) behind us") and that's it, no reference whatsoever during the PW plot, which is more like a direct MGS3 continuation (and was presented as such).

Some stuff happens in PO, but it has either never been mentioned again or also been explained in MGS4. It looks like KojiPro wants everybody to forget about this game.

I am now going to play MGS for the first time. Noice.

Also, I recently picked up the cart edition of PSO2. Awesome being able to boot it up without changing accounts, and the 13 year old kid in me who used to hog the phone line playing PSO over the Dreamcast's itty bitty modem can't quite grasp that I can now play the sequel while I'm walking to work. Madness.

Sony, if your going to release HD collections on the Vita, just don't ...

No silly cash grabs, do it right!

Yeah. I went back and played some Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD, and it's an astonishingly good port. It is even one of Vita's better looking games out. And you know what the crazy thing is? ONE PERSON did the Vita port for that game. One.

Sony has no excuse.

I know, it's pretty awesome. I still can't believe one dude was basically responsible for the porting process.
If Killzone can keep a steady 30fps, than it looks like Stranger's Wrath will lose the crown for prettiest native res visuals.

How do you switch regions on vita?

I have two memory sticks which I know you need.

You just take the memory card out and do a factory reset, then when it reboots, sign into a different region during set up (and put the other card in)

It seems like it's easier to port PS3 games to the Vita than it is PS2 games.

I am =), have you try Toukiden 2nd demo yet? It really good =), I hope musou orochi 2 ultimate make it here, I really enjoy Dynasty warrior next.

No, but I saw the youtube video. I like what I was seeing.

but can't wait to play orochi 2 on handheld. AGAIN.

What's all this talk about Orochi 2? Aren't we getting Orochi 3, or am I missing something?

Edit: Oh, it's one of those series with inconsistent Japanese/English numberings.

i'm trying to think of awesome PSone games to play on my new Vita... anyone remember the Colony Wars games? anyone know if they run well on the vita?

edit: just found out about this "starlight inception" game coming to Vita in August... that'll be rad as hell

After playing some more God Eater, I already want God Eater 2 to come to the US

Agree really enjoying the ascetics and mechanics and the new mechanics they've shown for the weapons in 2 are really getting me hoping for a localization (short blade in particular). One thing I've noticed the most though is the music though, it's got a solid track which is pretty different from other hunting games and really takes the fore-front versus other games as well.

Though I will say I keep jumping on accident when I want to step because dodging is "X" in Soul Sacrifice.

My order for DJ Technika Tune has finally shipped. No local release here in Australia, so I had to import it.

I've been itching for another rhythm game after having a blast with Project Diva. I got it after watching a couple of Youtube videos and seeing it mentioned here a few times.

Was it a worthy purchase, VitaGAF?

I still can't get a comfortable way of holding the Vita while playing it, sigh.

It seems like it's easier to port PS3 games to the Vita than it is PS2 games.

Well both were ported from a last gen platforms (PS2 for J&D and Stranger's Wrath for Xbox) to the PS3, and then finally over to the Vita. And I'm not going to pretend the J&D port wasn't harder to accomplish - after all, PS2 had a way more odd architecture than the Xbox - but this is a first party game and it should have been given more care. It shouldn't have been this bad.

Of course, just to be clear, this isn't a BAD port. It's still easily playable, but it's very disappointing to say at the very least. I may find later in the game with things like vehicles that the games could become unplayable, though.

Every video I've watched, people have been laying their Vita on flat a surface. Sure it defeats the purpose of a portable handheld for some people, but I don't actually take my Vita out and about with me so that doesn't bother me.

hmm, terrari is coming to vita and mobile? not sure what platform to get it on.

How will you even play it on a mobile phone? Just think about that.

I am not saying it cannot be played by the way, there will be controls and they will work. I am just saying it will be unplayable.

Outside of the dubstep in the beginning, the music is pretty solid.

And I still have no clue about bullet crafting, either I'm not far enough where I can unlock the tutorial or it's buried somewhere.

And the ally AI being competent and very capable instead of dying and being a hindrance is a huge plus for me. I think I've been downed more than my allies which is a good thing.

I'm probably younger then most here, but man there's been more then enough times that I've been stuck somewhere for upwards of 2 Hours just sitting around doing nothing, tomorrow being one of those days (another 6 hours probably ;_;), that I've really come to appreciate ANYTHING being portable, even a fighter's story mode which is the last thing I would think of in terms of "portable"

^Agree, I found it funny to find dubstep in a game before the age of brostep and it's popularity came about.

And I think the bullet crafting gets a lot easier if you take a walk through the database on the game's special terms so as to understand all the effects and what not.

I don't mind the framerates in the J+D collection at all. After about 15 minutes of play I don't really notice them anymore. But I've never been particularly sensitive to them... i think my eyes are just old.
