Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Gamescom in August, what're people expecting?

"We are discontinuing the PSP2 since no one is buying them for indies." *drops mic, walks off stage*

*riots in the streets* Oh wait, no one would riot since they never bought the damn thing. :(

Just announce FFXII:I:ZJS for the system without the stupid Auron Fantasy X "test" and I'm fine with the system dying from that point on.
Okay, okay, I wouldn't be until PSO2 hits the west as well but...

-How is the acceleration without analoge trigger?

It should be like the X-box 180 version should--

Oh, wait, that used the gun-style triggers to accelerate and brake... hmm...

It's downloading now. From what i've seen it looks perfectly playable and i've never played any of the games in the series before, so i thought what the hell? :)

I am curious to your feelings on the game as I have never played any of the games either and since I am on my honeymoon period with my Vita I want as many games as I can get for it. This just happens to be one of the games I am interested in.

anyone still play ultimate marvel? getting back into it and would like more people on my friend's list that hopefully have decent connections so we can do some sessions.

I'm in full backlog mode but if you see me online send me a message and I'll jump on.

Toukiden is looking really good. I'll probably pick it up

Exactly my case. I'll get Muramasa next week and then this collection a couple of weeks after. I've heard great things about these games and I don't mind the frame rate as long as they are playable.

Does anyone know if Muramasa will have any DLC at this stage? Only asking as I may have to end up importing it if no PAL released gets confirmed.

Yes,here are plans 4 four DLC character episodes to be released for the game.

•The Nekomata, Okoi, with her claws and feline abilties.
•The Country Bumpkin, Gonbee, with his deadly farming tools.
•The Ninja, Arashimaru, with everything a ninja normally does.
•The Imp, Rajaki, with the ability to toss objects larger than herself.

I wish they put Recettear on Vita. Someone should tweet Shahid about this. :P

SCEE finally remembered about its indie games discounts campaign being bi-weekly and put three new offers.

Vita games? You so silly, there's none. Again. Even though one of the offer is Stranger's Wrath. You guessed it, PS3 only. Even though everyone asked about Vita discounts for weeks in the comments. Even though Vita is marketed (lol jk it's not marketed, it doesn't even know the meaning of the word in Europe) as an indie heaven machine.

Surprised they'll manage to release Hotline Miami on the same day as SCEA. Or maybe that's because it's PS3 too and God forbid PS3 has delays, lack of support, discounts or anything. Vita on the other hand can die in a fire. But... gamescom!

I just checked Metacritic and got surprised a little. I have seen numerous 10/10 Velocity (Minis version) reviews but Velocity Ultra's highest score is 90/100 on MC. Isn't it the same game but better lol?

They might not market it as heavily as home consoles but it definitely has a presence. I've seen countless ads like these in all major European soccer tournaments and leagues throughout the year.

The new Dragon Ball game is going to be released in Europe (at the very least).

Maybe they'll release One Piece Musou 2 after all.

Confirmed for America:

Dragon Ball Z is back with Battle of Z!
The game full powered with four different battle types, faithful visuals, full-featured solo play and appearances from Special Force and Super Saiyan GOD!
Tell us about it now: WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR COMMENTS!
Coming soon to North America and Latin America on PS3, X360 and PS Vita.

DD-Only: The decision to import a European copy once the price drops or not buy it at all.
But at least there is the option this time.

Nice to hear. I don't follow sports so that might be one reason I never see ads about the Vita on tv or anywhere else.

Has it actually be confirmed to have a retail release in Europe or is this purely based off that box art floating around? Sure, it'd be silly to have a box art prepped if there's not going to be a release, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

For those of us waiting on Terraria:
  • Bagels_Two_Broc - If this is real, I will seriously consider getting one of these.
  • 505Games - Its real.
  • Bagels_Two_Broc - :D Is there a release date for it, or is still indev? Looking up PSVita prices atm
  • 505Games - Its in development, looking like it will be post summer, early fall. But trust me, its going to be worth the wait (as you can see from the pic)

Hmm, I'll have to wait and see what the reviews are like for these DLC chapters then before I import. If they're nothing major, I can live with missing out.

It'll possibly be a while; The first of the 4 hasn't even come out in Japan yet (Though teased to be "coming soon" back at the end of March), and no in-game screens of any of the DLC has been seen yet, which is all very weird.

4 New playable characters, each with stages / stories / new bosses that are suppose to be as long as 2 stages from the full game, each. JP price was stated to be 500 Yen a piece.

It all sounds so strangely ambitious for DLC, I'm quite intrigued.

Sounds extensive and quite reasonably priced. Hopefully a publisher will pick it up for PAL regions.

...Come to think of it, Dragon's Crown hasn't been officially announced yet either. Why must I be denied my fill of Vanillaware games!

UGH it looks gorgeous on DAT OLED. I CAN'T WAIT.

Also is the full Farming Simulator release confirmed for America next week, or just the demo?

How annoying is switching memory with the newer firmwares? I'm thinking it's time to get a second 32gb stick after deleting ten games to make room for Blazblue and Jak Collection. It sounds like if it's even technically possible to have larger memory sizes that they are going to ride out the current supply :/

Only played for about half an hour but Jak 1 seems pretty good. Camera is annoying as fuck (although maybe that's just a part of the game in general and not specific to Vita version). I'm completely oblivious to anything in terms of framerate, but it's completely playable. Had no problems with it so far.

Also, it's pretty good fun, even though i have no idea where i'm supposed to be going or what i'm supposed to be doing

Got Black Ops Declassified from Lovefilm today, what a piece of crap.

Actually pissed off it's the weekend now, would have sent it back and got something better.

Good to hear it's playable, I don't want to play it on PS3, I never played those before so I don't think I'm gonna notice the performance drops too much and anyway portability >>> rock-solid fps. Also planning to go retail.

Awful cameras and awful checkpoints are holdovers from the PS2 generation. I really wish they would have tweaked both.... but, nope.

Yeah that sounds like a PS2 port. Poor camera controls were totally a thing from that era.

hmmm.. hard to tell from those videos.. you can adjust some stuff (like camera sensitivity), that helps a bit, but not on the framerate. It probably is like those videos, I´m at work, so can´t check right now..

I played through it for about 2-3 hours and made it up to Osworld town (that's what it's called I think?). The game looks a bit more pixelated (as in jaggies) and the framerate was also a bit more noticeable in certain parts from the gameplay video shown. It's still playable and not bad (imo).

The game has been enjoyable so far. It's not really a platformer that puts you in levels or testing your reflexes. It's slower paced one with finding secrets, doing side quests and collecting many things. The monsters (from the few that appeared) require you to figure out how to beat them with the brushes that you have and less about beating the crap out of them like Mario games for instance.

The graphics are beautiful, the music is lovely and I love exploration, having different towns, different shops and collecting stuff. If the game is like this throughout, then I'm going to have a good time.

Oh and if you paint all the stars at the early place when you receive the blue brush, you'll see stars shaped in Mickey logo when you look at the sky and you also receive a trophy for it. The game has other well nice touches with the use of brushes and playing with the environment.

So far it doesn't seem bad as how some people talked about it, I wonder if this is only the beginning and it will get worse later on?

Yeah i'd never played it before so didn't know for sure - assumed it was there from the beginning though!

So far think it's pretty cool. Think i prefer Ratchet though, so far :p
