Yeah... that was pretty much a prayer of mine in the form of a question...

They should have a sheep box for disguising yourself as a sheep.

PC with specs close to current gen consoles.Does anyone know what hardware the demo was running on?
Am I the only one who has played every single MGS but have no idea what I'm supposed to with the boxes/drums? You can't hide in plain sight without moving so what's the point?
You know that superlong hallway in Outer Haven overrun with Scarabs when you're on your way to the Microwave Hallway?
Drumcan, my friend. Just roll straight through the hordes of Scarabs.

You just summarized every Hideo Kojima game.O_O You can do that?
How's he aiming down the sights with an eyepatch? My new wallpaper![]()
It is just me or anyone else here finds the "hiding behind the horse" a little stupid? I know that balancing the difficulty and the enemy ai isn't that easy, especially when you could cause frustration and angerBut seriously?
Video EXTREMELY related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFAGKmUB5h8
Other stuff I remember from MGS2
If you open a locker that has a woman's poster on the inside, push up against it and knock on it, every guard in the area will be alerted
If you have a ration equipped while crawling through those bugsin the tanker, they'll eat your rations
You can make the hostages pee themselves
When you go get the microphone, the soldiers are looking at porn in the computers and you can make the parrot say certain things
During that sniper section with EE you can hear her talk to Johnny. He let's her go because she has to poop
In that same section, you can tranq snake and then call his codec. He will either be snoring or yelling LIQUID while sleeping
Vamp is in the last cutscene
And if you call Otacon while kissing a poster, Snake will be masturbating.
It should have been shown as something with limited use. Sticking it alongside the "new breed of stealth" line was stupid.
Just watched the trailer again. Sins of the Father is sooooo fucking good. Chills everytime.
Donna Burke is amazing.
I wish the trailer so more gameplay bits. The fast forwarding annoys me as I want to see that section infiltrated without it.
How's he aiming down the sights with an eyepatch?
I think waiting for a sandstorm to sneak with the horse would have had much sense.
The music is just amazing, i agree!
Lol, Yeah. In a sandstorm, theyre less likely to see the giant Big Boss foot hanging over a horse.
I wonder if Harry Gregson Williams will be back for this or if hes being scrapped for this new direction too.
It wouldn't make much sense to show us Big Boss' downfall without it actually being Big Boss. We know the guy becomes a villain at some point, and this game is hinting that it'll show us just that.
How's he aiming down the sights with an eyepatch?
Snake Eater was used during the MGS3 ladder climb. And MGS4 used The Best Is Yet To Come when you first hit the Shadow Moses complex, and multiple themes along with Love Theme during the final fist fight.
O_O You can do that?
Yep, and it's just another one of the reasons why that's my favorite game ever.
Every little thing was interactive, and that was unprecedented at the time. Hell, you could argue that MGS2 helped create the trend of more interactive and realistic items in game-worlds.
I just noticed this. When Big Boss is zooming in at some of the guards posted out front of the camp, the two in the static position are in the same animation at almost the same time. Small things like that kind of annoy me.

the goal being to create the "ultimate battlefield commander" modeled after The Boss
Gene believed that he was the true successor of The Boss, and that Big Boss, her last protege, was the only other person who could rival his abilities. In a final fight to the death, Gene was defeated by Big Boss, conceding that his rival was the true successor after all.
The process of creating and maintaining the Perfect Soldier was to place the subjects into a special culture tank that shut out all of the soldier's senses, a process compared to a baby coming into the world for the first time, and usually caused people to go mad in minutes. Upon being deployed, the Perfect Soldier, as a result of the tank, had his/her senses heightened to a large degree, causing him/her to predict an enemy's movements at a much faster rate than normal, and being imbued with enhanced reflexes.
Stuff that looks too advanced to exist in MG, MG2 and MGS' timeframe. Peace Walker already had a bunch of robots that made Metal Gear Rex look like scrubsville, never mind the original Metal Gear.
MGS3 did a good job of doing tech that was advanced for the era but not so advanced that it seemed better than MG onwards. Minus the optic camouflage, of course.
Mechanical machines VS biological machines. Skull Face and the ninjas looks like zombies. Big Boss and Miller lost limbs. I expect this game to try to retcon the whole Ocelot/Liquid arm thing. There's going to be some frankenstein-like character in the game made up of body parts from Big Boss, Miller, and maybe others.
Actually didn't have a problem with these. If you think about it for two seconds (or just shoot a bullet at the fuel canister), you can see how ill-thought out and silly the concept it. Experimental conceptually-awesome-but-actually-useless rocket tech was exactly what the US and USSR engineers were doing back in the cold war. It felt true to the era.And also minus the rocket propelled platforms![]()
I seriously hope she still has her tongue...her torture scene is harsh enough. Leave mah waifu alone Ocelot! And Quiet's tongue lol
There's going to be some frankenstein-like character in the game made up of body parts from Big Boss, Miller, and maybe others. Someone "built" to carry out a vision. This would tie in perfectly with transitioning from human Patriots to AI Patriots: just as they eventually transferred their "meme" to an AI, someone is trying to re-create Big Boss, or someone's ideals, but biologically.
Remember the Successor Project?
Gray Fox was supposed to be the perfect soldier, Big Boss was the ultimate commander (to control the perfect soldier). In the post-credit ending of MPO, Zero told Ocelot about this project and how he now had new data from the perfect soldier. Ocelot told Zero he wanted Big Boss to join them. Eventually they split. This leaves Zero with no successor to control the soldiers from his perfect soldier project.
So my guess is it might be about an attempt to create a BB replacement, now that Big Boss has gone rogue.
And it also leads me to think that it would fit with Big Boss going back to lead Foxhound later: he will defeat this new "successor" AND have Gray Fox under his charge, making the successor project and perfect soldier project failures. He will be eager to have BB return to work for him since now he will think he really needs BB for his plans to go forward. BB does so, but continues to work on Outer Heaven in the background.
The zombie ninjas might even be "perfect soldier prototypes".
So in MGS5, I think we will see how The Patriots need BB himself, after failing to make someone to replace him. And I think Gray Fox is likely to be in the game.
I just noticed this. When Big Boss is zooming in at some of the guards posted out front of the camp, the two in the static position are in the same animation at almost the same time. Small things like that kind of annoy me.

Which is exactly what Solidus was created to do. I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm feeling Solidus will have a major role in MGS5, going so far as him being the horned Punished Snake.
This is just a random thing that came to mind, but since this might be the chapter where we see Big Boss actually become a "villain", we could also be seeing the formation of a pre-MGS1 FOXHOUND team, although that's probably a bit too early.

Flying robots with advanced AI in Peace Walker did not
(though yes, Peace Walker was still a fun game!)
