Really? There wasn't any issue with input latency or anything like that but more often than not it looked like the other players were teleporting/stuttering around.

Simon Belmont would be the Lords if Shadow Version. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Konamis money is on lords of shadow and we all know they haven't cared much for the older games as of late.
People might argue what about Snake and his MGS2 look but we all know that was a special case with kojima and Sakurai being friends.

Yeah, it really is a pity they used bad box art Mega Man in this one.
Sakurai seems to have hinted at there not being one this time, according to interviews.

If throw MM as a special case as well. Guy hasn't had a game in ages. Not to mention OG MM is the best bet for fans with a knife at your throat if you're capcom. Plus when can throw in the the MM VC releases which are the originals. Also didnt Megaman 9 come out on Wii.
So original mega man there makes sense, just saying.
I bet Donkey Kong and Mario will be in this one.
Smash Bros. is on Nintendo's terms though, not the guest's. If a Castlevania character were to be included, it'd be someone Sakurai deemed fit, or there'd be no one at all.

No Bayonetta, give us Wonder Red. Accept no substitutes. I don't care if it's easier, it's not like Platinum Game isn't in bed with Nintendo right now.
This is pretty dumb. It doesn't even make sense when Wonder Red is a full Nintendo IP and Bayonetta is technically third party. Maybe if you had cut off the last sentence.

But I think Simin is more iconic to the Vania series overall, which makes him a great fit. I just want the classic NES franchise characters well represented in Smash- Simon, Arthur (G&G), Little Mac would be amazing next to MM and others. I will be pretty disappointed to not see a classic looking Simon in the game considering the importance of that series on the NES.
If Smash 4 has good online play I will probably play Smash Bros even more than I do now, haha.
And if it has ranked matches I probably won't touch any other video game besides Smash 4 for a long time.

I agreed with you that's dumb especially it's copy and paste from your statement. Basically Nintendo need Platinium Game to help Sakurai to come up with moveset, stage, character design, etc since the game isn't out yet.

But really, she has no place in Smash. I don't get why some people argue she should be in. She's a third party character who have appeared in 1 game in gaming history, and that game did not appear on a Nintendo platform.
Its sequel, sure, will be exclusive to the WiiU. But really, is that all that it takes now? Simply to have a game on a Nintendo platform, regardless to gaming history or anything, for people to clamor and see hope in a character? She is not in any remote way on the same tier as Mega Man, Sonic or Snake or PacMan or Simon Belmont, or alot of more worthy contenders for third parties slots.
I mean, if you want to delude yourself or get into some senseless hype, sure. But I keep seeing her pop up, and every time I get in this mental monologue. Just wanted to post it once.

Sakurai and Kamiya are friends, so the logistics of character inclusion aren't a problem regardless. The only issue is whether Sakurai wants to include one of those characters.

Kamiya doesn't sign off on Bayonetta, SEGA does.
Yeah, I'm with you. I don't like the idea of seeing Bayonetta in Smash. I love the character, but she belongs in her own game, or a potential Sega crossover. Lots of Nintendo characters can still fill the roster, lots of sources to draw from before dabbling in a third-party title with a cult fanbase.

The way Sakurai has been talking about 3rd Party characters suggests that mercenary advertising is not anywhere close to what he considers appropriate for guest appearances in Smash.
makes absolutly no sense to add anyone from that game except maybe as a trophy, sticker or assist trophy.
Playable characters need to have a place in gaming history... needs to have a legacy

Is The Wonderful 101 a full Nintendo IP? Or is it one of those half owned IP's where some other subsidiary has so much percent of ownership like a Pokemon, Golden Sun, Sin and Punishment, etc.
Really hard to make that case after Roy was decided upon before his game was even out.

I'd still take Bayo over Sonic though. Especially if Snake/Sonic aren't returning. Maybe she'll have a a "cmon step it up" quote for Sonic fans. Seems fair to me.

Yeah.
I doubt we'll ever see anything like Brawl's soundtrack again, especially within this limited time frame. I'd love to be wrong.
Nobody in the west had heard of that series.
Well considering Roy was in Melee before his game was even out, I don't think its entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Not beyond Japan. Roy's inclusion also had a lot to do with the fact that Sakurai thought he was aesthetically appealing too. If you don't think that's a good enough reason just remember that Dr. Mario was included because he liked the Fever song. Doesn't get much more base than that.

As much as I really love Bayonetta, I prefer Wonder Red over her. And by Sega, we need Sonic over everyone!
