@coldfoot
I reached out for clarification from both camps. Activision says they'll have more to say in August. Still waiting to hear back from MS.
@FeiRR
I am going to categorically disagree with your assessment on smaller matches not mattering. Let's ignore the fact that netcode optimization can over-favor slow connections to the point of hurting people with good connections or the fact that some netcode optimizations actually omit data that you aren't currently engaged in: Bottom line,
People can manipulate their connection. Games have yet to automatically handle this well and even if it doesn't wind up giving host advantage, he can grief people to the point of them just dropping out by forcing the game to try and find a new host.
However, if it turns out that dedicated games aren't for every MP game on Xbox One then for sure PS+ is the best service.
Edit: Forgot to add the part about the unlimited verbiage:
Q: How much cloud space do I get? What is stored in the cloud?
A: Xbox Live offers Xbox One unlimited storage space in the cloud. Every piece of content—your profile, games, Achievements, and entertainment— can be stored and saved in the cloud so you can automatically access it anywhere, anytime, no matter where you are.
Yes, naturally if you managed to store 100's of GB of save data, I'm sure MS would cut you off and say, "Hey pal, we had to limit you" But let's be realistic, who is going to be saving that much
uniquedata? Also, no reason to hurl insults just because I can see something
possibly positive on Xbox One.
I'm sure we'll find out more come August.
